Mowbray Tree Service

Me and my father run a business in Sacramento. We park are vehicles in the backyard because parking is limited. I heard small engines running in the back yard, so i checked to see What’s going on. I found my car and my dads delivery truck covered in leaves and big branches. Once they saw me taking pictures with my phone, they hopped in the truck and took off. I got hold of smud, smud called me the next day and the guy that took off came back and handed me his bosses business card. There was a bunch of yelling because his boss woke him up and yelled at him. So some kid shows up (will keep him anonymous) to be a representative for the tree service company, you seem like a nice guy but you’ve given us a really horrible offer. He thought he was going to have some guy come out and on and pull the dents out and buff the scratches out. The cars damages are much worse than what he was thinking. He offered to settle the problem for both cars with $ 2,000. The limbs that fell on the car are much worse than $ 2,000 in repairs. This happened in November, me and my father have both been getting the runaround from this tree service company and they refuse take care of the problem. They say they denied the claim that our cars were parked nowhere near the tree. There is no other place to park but under the tree trust me I clean the SAP off every year. So if you plan on using this tree company be advised they have no care in the world about what car is nearby, yours or your neighbors. I’ll try and post some pictures of the damages if I can figure out how to you’ll see a Honda CRV in a Dodge Ram.

I have used Mowbray Tree Service to do just about all my palm tree work, tree removal, and major tree cutting over the last few years. Company has had all required licenses, insurances, bonding, workmen’s comp, and have always provided whatever else was needed, like labor releases. Someone actually answers the phone and responds to emails. The company seems to be very busy this season with major projects (good for them), but they worked my small job into their schedule, which I appreciated. Clean up was good, employees worked hard, and communications were good. I am very very picky when using contractors and Mowbray has never failed us. Hopefully you will have the same experience.

Terrible service or lack of service waited for hours for somebody to come never came no phone calls. When I called to find out where anybody was I got the runaround and then I had people pointing fingers at each other but no solution. Finally told Kent if we can’t come back today we won’t be there until after Thanksgiving because we have Edison accounts that are too important. Never again going with a small local more reasonable alternative.

They turned a two-​day job into four days through sheer incompetence and lack of quality tools, didn’t clean up my backyard at all, and sprayed water over all the sawdust coating my walkways and patio instead of blowing or sweeping it up. I called them twice and they said they’d send a crew back to clean up, which never happened, nor did they ever even call me back, which they promised to do. Do not trust this company or its workers in your yard.

Fair prices and good service. Cleaned up very well after job. Also cuts down old trees and they always check in about twice a year. We like dealing with them and they have lots of experience. Friendly.

They are the best tree service not only for their excellent work but also for their customer service. I am very happy with all the work they have done in my yard. They were considerate and polite. They were respectful of my plants and cleaned up afterwards. I am also amazed by how much they do so quickly for an affordable price. I recommend Mowbray’s to my neighbors, family and friends.

I’m absolutely mystified by the negative review. I’m afraid I’m far too lazy to write reviews in the normal way of things: I am only motivated to do so on this occasion because the work done in our yard over the last two days by Mowbray’s was not only beyond reproach but almost beyond praise. For the amount of work we needed done the estimate was extremely reasonable. As this work was itemized, I received thoughtful advice from Hector Estrada and he gave me a clear sense of any difficulties (e.g. problems with stump grinding close to a fence) ahead of time. The team was prompt, courteous, friendly and very careful. The considerable amount of work requiring delicacy, presented by a range of obstacles from rose arches to electrical and phone lines, was done with consummate skill and care; not a single plant or piece of garden furniture was damaged. The team even made sure to clean up the relatively few materials that fell into our neighbors’ yard. It’s inherently stressful having activity and noise in one’s domestic space, but Mowbray’s made it as easy as it could possibly be. I cannot sufficiently commend their work.
