This company was NOT a pleasure to deal with when the deal had to be done. They contracted to install whole house carpeting and flooring in one bathroom. Even after I confirmed that everything was a ‘GO’ for saturday installation, THE INSTALLER DECIDED TO NOT SHOW UP! i was only given an «im sorry» over the phone, no let’s get this done today with another installer, until after I requested a discount for my inconvenience. Then the installer could only install ½ the project as he was finishing up another job to which I declined as the installer would most likely be upset and do a poor job since he may have had plans after his first job on a Saturday morning. Then they said the substitute installer would just finish the job THAT DAY and work until it’s done, however, once again, I did not want an upset installer in my home as I was equally upset with Mars Carpets so again, I declined. I requested and received my entire refund and now, instead of walking on new flooring in my home, I have all my dresser drawers and items that were to be removed IN MY GARAGE waiting on more quotes! THIS WAS SO DISAPPOINTING I CANNOT TELL YOU! I have a friend who had equally as poor results from the same company regarding carpeting needing stretching — and another carpet location in yucaipa said after 1 year HER OWN carpet needed restretching… so I would not recommend this company for INSTALLATION… They do have a good selection but I’m OUTIE!

This company was a pleasure to do business with. Fast, efficient, and did not try to oversell me. The installer Miguel was friendly, clean, and even installed a transition for me in another room where I had done a tile job. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

This was the second time I called Mars Carpets to have flooring put in my home. The first time, they installed carpet and tiled my front hall. The experience was smooth and problem free. The second time, we chose to have laminate installed throughout the house. Katherine was informative, professional, and incredibly helpful. She helped us choose product, allowed us to take it home, came and measured (because, math), and had our product ordered and ready for install in one week. We were informed of prices, breakdown, everything. If I had a question, Katherine was available via email, or phone. During install, we were told that the crack in our floor was too bad to just lay the laminate over. We had a feeling this was going to be the case and prepared ourselves for the worst. We were quoted FAR LESS than we had thought the price was going to be! The men who installed our laminate knew what they were doing. They had over half the home installed on the first day! The men were able to effectively communicate in English, and answered any question we had. In less than 2 working days, we had new laminate and new baseboards installed. Not only would I use Mars again, I would recommend them (and have) to my friends and family.

This was the 3^rd time I used Mars but the 1^st time I used them as tile installers. Love, Love, Love my new tile. Installation had problems. I went with them as a company to install nearly 900 sq. ft. because I thought they could complete it faster with a crew and also would back up the installation. I was disappointed in Mars installation and customer service. I spent over $ 8,000 and expected much better. Noe and his crew could not communicate very well in English — that’s a problem when your whole living area is being tiled and you are trying to live there also. Whey would leave the work site, literally just get up and leave tools laying everywhere, every day. They left my piano on an uneven surface outside for 4 days and it damaged the frame. They damaged my new cabinets while demoing the old tile. I had to insist he tile under my dish washer… he didn’t want to be responsible for leaks. After all was done I sent several pictures to Jim and said I didn’t expect anything but did want to let him know my problems. He replied and wanted to come out and look at my piano and cabinets and never showed up. While I would buy tile from Mars again, I would not have Noe and his crew install again.

As soon as we walked in their store, Marilyn greeted us, and showed us exactly what we were looking for. Jim came to the house for measurements, and again it was a great experience. Edgar did our installation and knew exactly what he was doing. I had a lot of laminate installed. And boy does it look fabulous. They moved our furniture and put it back and cleaned up every day before leaving. Christmas is at our house this year, so I had a deadline. They had it done before Thanksgiving. Their price was very reasonable, and they couldn’t be more helpful. Before you buy elsewhere, stop by and visit Mars Carpets.

I just had flooring laid in two bathrooms, an office and kitchen. Elgardo, the installer, was prompt, friendly amd paid great attention to detail. As my mother will soon be living with me and uses a walker, he worked closely with me to assure that the transitions between flooring surfaces will accommodate her easily. Thanks for the special consideration!

We were recommended here by my parents because Mars had carpeted their entire house. The prices ARE cheap, however the customer service is AWFUL. We just needed carpet for one room, for our baby nursery. We went in with a 10×11 estimate for our bedroom (not exact measurement). We were quoted, we paid, we had an installation date.
On the day of the installation their installer advised us the carpet was cut short and he couldn’t install… However no one came to measure in the first place so why they had him cut carpet beats me… we came in with estimates.
I told him to just leave and I called Mars, extremely upset. I was then reprimanded by their owner because he couldn’t get over the fact WHY I wouldn’t pay the extra $ 20 to his installer, and advised me it was OUR fault for not measuring properly… huh…but isn’t the carpet company suppose to come do their own measurements… obviously that wasn’t the issue here. The issue was I paid for the carpet… I paid what I was quoted… I wanted my damn carpet installed!!! The other issue is that I am 9 months pregnant, and unfortunately my husband was working during the time this all happened and I feel like a different tone would’ve been used towards him if he called and resolved our issue… that’s my honest opinion. I would seriously love for them to repeatedly ask my husband «Do you understand why he asked for $ 20…DO YOU UNDERSTAND??»…yea…
How the issue was «resolved»:
No one called after I got off the phone with the owner. I literally had to call and see what was going to happen… are they gonna install or what… at this point I’m PISSED… yea a PISSED off pregnant women who just wants frickin carpet in one bedroom. So after some back and forth, wanting to charge me extra, then me wanting my money back, then them saying they just didn’t want to ruin their relationship with their installer… they said they would come out two days later… uggh. I just agreed. F*CK it. I want my carpet. We eventually got our carpet installed and had no issues with the installation. Miguel was actually extremely pleasant to work with! This review is strictly based on customer service and how MARS handled the situation.

Unfortunately, probably one of the most frustrating experiences we have had. Nice folks but once we order carpet and begin to prepare they informed us they did not have what we had ordered. Had to find other carpet and I asked for their installer which they asked me to pay cash to install they said they were busy and were not willing to give ANY customer service. What started positively ended terribly with us as potential customers kicked to the curb. Just cannot recommend.

I’ve been going to Mars Carpets for last ten years for carpet, wood floors, laminate and vinyl flooring. Fantastic service, friendly, helpful and competitive prices. Couldn’t be happier with the sales and installation personnel, as well as the quality of their flooring.

We bought shudders for our entire house. The price was reasonable and the service was great. We later used them to do the living room windows in a
Couple of rentals we have. It greatly enhanced our properties, gave more privacy and blocked out the sun. Very satisfied with the product and service.

They helped me pick out a great carpet for my living room and tile for my kitchen and bathroom. Top notch service!

Great service, great product, great price. After going to 6 different carpet places to compare prices and products, Mars Carpets beat out the competition. Will recommend to friends and family & will buy from again.
