Marjorie Lewis made our dreams come true! We first met at one of her many open houses and we instantly knew she was the realtor we wanted to represent us. In the last 18 months Marjorie Lewis has represented us as sellers and as buyers. She is hands down the most professional, dedicated, and hard working realtor you will find to represent you. Marjorie helped me buy my first home this past January and it was a very positive experience working with her. We just recently purchased a home with help from Marjorie. My husband and I had been through the escrow process before with a different agent and we were scared to go through it again since it was a horrible experience. We told Marjorie all our concerns and she worked with us step by step. She always answered our questions and pretty much held our hand until we closed. I would have still considered myself as a first time buyer and Marjorie never made us feel bad for being so nervous. We both loved her work. We would use her again and would highly recommend her.

My husband and I bought a home from Marjorie about 5 years ago. When looking for a home, our specific home requirements (in Redlands, a Craftsman style home, something with character, on a main historical street on the South end of town, walking distance to downtown, our list was obnoxious!!) we were lucky enough to find Marjorie.
During the initial showing of our home one sunny Saturday, we fell in love, head over heals in love with our home. Minutes after seeing the house, we knew we had to make an offer. We began working with Marjorie on an offer immediately. She warned us that our sale wasn’t going to be a cake walk, but we loved the home so much that we took on the «short-​sale challenge».
Marjorie stayed at her office late hours and came in on the weekend to help us navigate each step with professionalism, patience, and care. Our little home may be the sale she will always remember because of the fuss the seller’s bank put up, but at the end of the day we got our home and were proud to work with such a caring agent.
If you want a vintage home and a real estate agent who knows EVERYTHING there is to know about Redlands and the vintage home market, you need to talk to Marjorie. She is a very hard worker and will do her best to work around your availability for showings. We always recommend her to friends and family when searching our area for the perfect home.

Marjorie has helped us buy our last two homes. Needles to say, we wanted to work with her a second time because she had been extremely helpful the first time.
When she helped us buy the first time around, we were first time home buyers and really didn’t know much about the market, process, paperwork, etc. She was patient, courteous but more importantly, she was extremely knowledgeable, so we got the house we wanted. It’s important to mention that we had an awful mortgage company, and the seller’s agent wasn’t very motivated [the house was a flip and the seller’s agent wasn’t going to make full commission] but Marjorie kept calling them until the deal was done.
The second time around she was just as knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.
When you go out to see a house with Marjorie, you know you have an «ally». She really looks into the house with you: as she’s been on this business for so long, she can see things you don’t see and she will let you know. We appreciated her pointing out things in houses that would affect value now and in the long run [positively and negatively].
We hope not to move in a long time [we just did 5 months ago], BUT if we were, we’d call Marjorie again!

We recently bought a home in the Redlands region in Southern California. We can honestly say that it would not have been possible without Ms. Marjorie. From home searches to closing, she was always generous with her time, patience (important for first time buyers like us) and expertise. We were often stumped by her thoroughness and diligence. She always gave us the complete picture (and all the information) so that we could make a well informed decision, never forcing us into a decision. If we were being irrational, she would keep us in check, give us insight into the market conditions and help us put in the right offers. It is very clear that real estate is not just a work/​business for her — she works round the clock, never missing a beat.

Marjorie is reviewed below as a hard worker and workaholic, both are true, in a good way. Marjorie is personally involved and persistent in communication, this is critical in the real estate business. She approaches your sale or purchase as Her Business. This is her more than full time job. Redlands has many excellent realtors, but we would recommend Marjorie because of the work ethic, thoughtful comments and persistence.
She helped us write offers on investment properties that due to Bank owners unrealistic expectations did not work, but she recommended stepping away from the deal even though it cost her the commission. Buying difficult properties, probate, shortsale, REO takes persistence and tenacity. We are not likely the easiest clients to help but she always does with a smile.
We met Marjorie at an open house many years ago, when we had another excellent realtor, now retired. Being old house fans we loved several of her listings. When we held a 100^th year re-​dedication of our current house for Assistance League; Marjorie made sure to be there, even though we had never purchased a house through her.
She knows old Redlands real estate very well and can give you the name of a great ______(fill in the blank) to help you know what it will really cost you to move into the house of fix the _​_​_​_​_​. I have met more than a few realtors that are just sales folks that do not know much about what they sell. Some hardly return calls or emails. Not so with Marjorie, most any time you will get an email or call back, even late at night.

My husband and I had met with a few other agents, but we didn’t feel like anyone was a good fit for various reasons: not experienced enough, too busy to give us enough attention/​help, too pushy, or untrustworthy. Also, we didn’t have very much time left to shop because we have a baby on the way and wanted to get settled into a new home before the baby arrives.

Marjorie is a really good person and provides excellent service. She is a busy lady, but she is also a workaholic — she can always fit you into her schedule and promptly respond to any sort of questions you may have. I really liked that Marjorie was not pushy — she never rushed us, or pressured us to make an offer. She always gave us the pros & cons of a house when we asked for her opinion. Marjorie has a lot of experience is also very smart. I am sure we saved a lot of money because of her help.

Even now, after the close of escrow on our home, Marjorie is still very responsive when we have random questions for her. I am a very picky person and I truly don’t have enough good things to say about her!!!

After a couple very unfortunate experiences with other realtors (the lazy and/​or treacherous ones) I had pretty much given up on having a realtor to help me buy a home. Mainly, I was doing the search myself, and not getting anywhere. (Trying to do all that while holding down a full time job was not so easy.)
At some point, I decided to give Marjorie a call. I had met her briefly at an open house. I liked that she did not pull the car salesman routine (following me around and pestering me with chatter while I tried to look at the house) and seemed the sort of quiet, competent type who knows what she’s doing and doesn’t need to stand on a soapbox with a bullhorn and fireworks attached to her head.
I was very much impressed. First and foremost, she was willing to meet for the first time on a Saturday. (She even suggested up front that she was willing to do so when I said I didn’t know if I could get time off on a weekday. Hooray for adjusting to the worker bee’s schedule!) I went in to meet with her for the first time at the office on a Saturday morning, when there was practically no one else there. She listened closely to what I was looking for (price, location, etc.) and we started looking up listings right then and there, and we were out looking at houses later that morning.
Although the first morning’s five houses didn’t produce any that I was interested in, we kept looking at more. She signed me up for an email service that sends me listings every day. (It’s a simple thing to do when you think about it, but my previous realtors hadn’t done it. They each sent me one email with a few listings, and that was it.) When something came up that she thought I might be interested in, based on our conversations, she gave me a call.
When we looked at a house together, Marjorie tried to strike a balance between her own opinion and neutrality. Although her specialty is vintage homes, she’ll help you find whatever you’re looking for: old, new, in-​between. She wasn’t pushy at all, which I very much appreciated. (Some realtors just talk up a house’s strong points, and seem immune to any discussion of its flaws.) Sometimes her opinion came out, mainly if a house had serious problems — I found this helpful. She would try to note a house’s potential too. For the most part, she lets her clients say yes or no to a house; she’s very patient, and does not force her opinion on her clients.
All in all, I found Marjorie to be a very nice lady, who totally knows what she’s doing, is honest, and is willing to work hard for her clients. Those are all very important attributes in a realtor. I bought my first house with her, and when the time comes to sell it, I’ll be giving her a call.

I spent the last few months working with Marjorie Lewis in the purchase of a vintage home in Redlands. She is extremely thorough and pleasant to deal with. Not only is she completely dedicated to each of her clients, she is also tireless and trustworthy. I would personally not consider using any other realtor than Marjorie.

Marjorie Lewis is the most competent real estate agent in Redlands. The Hat Lady is experienced and knows how to close a deal. Her knowledge of vintage homes is unquestionable. She works equally well with both buyers and sellers. She found us a qualified buyer for our home for an excellent price. Then she saw the deal all the way through to closing. I can’t say enough about her expertise.

I can honestly say that Marjorie Lewis is not only the most popular real estate agent in town, but she is a delight to work with! After renting a property from her, I have been overwhelmed with the outstanding care and customer service I’ve received. I would recommend her service to anyone and everyone!

This was my experience with Marjorie Lewis so take it with a grain of salt.
I tried to rent a house from her. She was too busy to show it to me the first day so we set up a time later in the week. Then she canceled. Fine, people are busy. The next day I take off work early to make the only time she can meet me. She calls me 2 minutes (!!!) before our appointment and says she’s renting it out to a friend. Classy.
Maybe she’s an awesome realtor but if she is this inconsiderate to a potential client then she must be too rich to really care.
