nothing extraordinary… tech was knowledgeable but didn’t give proper advice on the LG which requires quite a bit of a balancing act.

My call was for a warranty issue so there was no $$ exchange but I wanted to do a review as I was very happy with my service. The ladies in the office phoned to confirm the appointment I had made online and were very helpful in explaining how/​what would happen. Bob was my Repair Specialist and he called 15 minutes prior to arrival and was very friendly. My issue was not repairable as it was a noise issue but I will definitely call J & M for any appliance repairs I may require in the future as Bob took the time to explain all the issues to me.

Re: my high end Jenn Air Refrigerator. Jenn Air set me up with this company as they are Jenn Air certified technicians. Two gentlemen came on time which is a huge plus for me. Mike Torres and Gilmar Coelho represented J&M. They quickly established the problem as well as any possibly up charges that might result when they get deeper into it. I was able to contact Jenn Air to clarify if it was under warranty… thank the Lord it was. They were courteous, efficient and considerate to my needs. (Mike knows his stuff and got to work right away while Gilmar was ready and available at his side to assist). They replaced the compressor and the defrost pan for the freezer which was an additional unexpected problem but necessary to fix as this caused leaking down the back of my freezer. John the owner personally delivered the additional part to my house to get the job completed. The whole job ended up being around $ 500. in labor (parts were covered under warranty) which I had shopped prices and was comparable to most. I am very satisfied with this job well done. Thanks guys.

My dryer needed repair and Art the repairman didn’t find all that was needed to be fixed the first time. He came out a second time and realized what he missed. Then he didn’t order all the parts needed so when another repairman (at my request) came out the third time, he realized that all the parts weren’t ordered even though I called the day before to make sure because it seems that Art didn’t know what he was doing to me. I have NO complaint with the second repairman. He was just the messenger to let me know he didn’t have what he needed to fix it. The incompetence of this company is amazing. Not only that, but over a week later I still have a broken dryer and am out $ 99 that they charge to just come out.

I had a pleasure of meeting Eddie. He was awesome, professional and knowledgeable with the problems I had with my fridge. His findings clear and fixed the issues. he also explained to me the reasons why the fridge collects the water on the bottom tray. Eddie also noticed my fridge slide when ever the door open. I know its not part of the claim I put in. Eddie went ahead and fixed that as well. I had another issues with my washing machine door handle. He was kind to look at the door with out having to make a work order. He gave me a few options to proceed if I need to fix it in the future. Thank You Eddie for your knowledge and professionalism.

I just had my first appliance repair done by J&M and I am very happy with the service. Brion arrived at the expected time and got my washing machine running again within the hour. He was knowledgeable and professional. He quickly identified the part that needed to be replaced and put in a new one. I couldn’t ask for more. I will definitely call for him again whenever my other major appliances need repair.

Have never experienced such terrible customer service. My first experience with J & M was very professional and surprisingly positive. The second experience was the exact opposite and bad enough to force me to write this review. They would not stand behind their workmanship at all. 4 weeks after having their technician out to fix our Kitchenaid refrigerator we were experiencing the same issue and they were extremely rude and basically told us that if we had any issues to have another company come out to do the repairs — — absolutely no customer service!!! Steer Clear!!!

GE appliance repair setup appointment with j& m and the day before they were to come they cancelled. Said it was out of there area. They expected me to call GE and let them know I wasn’t in their service area and reschedule! They weren’t going to call GE knows heir service area

The staff is a problem. Attitude is a problem. When Kitchenmaid offered to send J & M out to repair the broken trash compactor instead of the previous company I was happy. J & M had been good several years ago. No so now. After nearly 8 weeks of working on my trash compactor it has been returned. Whether the problems have been completely fixed is unknown. Eight weeks is too long. No one could give a reason as to why. The snarky office manager told me things conflicting with what the tech said and made it sound like I should have known her rules and ignored the tech. The guy who brought the unit back was surprised to find out that I expected the unit to be installed. He didn’t get it right and I realized it was going to get worse if I didn’t make him stop.

Great company to work with. Called and set an appointment to repair my wall oven, the service tech called 30 minutes prior to appointment to tell me he was on his way. Service Tech was very professional, found the problem and called in for pricing for the part to complete repair and timing for the order to be received. J & M called when part was in, 2 weeks earlier than anticipated and again followed the same procedure.
The service technician is very knowledgeable and friendly.
I would definitely use J & M again and highly recommend them.

Would not recommend.
They came to my house 5 weeks ago to repair a dishwasher. Since then, 3 failed attempted repairs have been made. The dishwasher leaked and caused damage after the repair. They keep replacing more and more parts. And they damaged my quartz counter top edge from multiple times pulling the appliance out. Now I am waiting to hear how that will be repaired?
They are very slow at diagnosing the issue and calling back. This dishwasher is under warranty and simply needs to be replaced, but J&M keeps making attempts to repair while more damage takes place. My home warranty has been waiting for a diagnosis so they may act on replacing my appliance. Cannot get J&M to respond.
Now I’ve been assigned to a new repair company that will diagnose it once and for all.
Will never use or recommend J&M again.

This is a great company. They work well with their customers. I had a refrigerator that lost it’s compressor/​condenser. It was going to be very costly to repair. Linda and her team worked with the manufacturer and it was about half the estimate. This may have taken a little bit longer to get the unit repaired, but it is appreciated they took the time to help.
The technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly.
I highly recommend.

Heather is fantastic and very patient. She saved me a little money by asking a tech about a part I was not sure I needed. She e-​mailed me a pic of the right screw; who knew there are several #8 screws at Lowes. Their parts prices are lower than competitors. I have always had positive experience with J & M, in reading other reviews I would be warned off. Since my experience has been positive, give them a chance.

Forwarded to these guys from Frigidaire for my dishwasher under warranty.
Bob showed up in his time window, fixed the dishwasher with no mess and no issues. Took a look at our dryer and gave us an estimate, but didn’t push us on it and recommended we just replace it. He also gave recommendations on good brands and types, so bonus there.
Bob was super nice, the lady I put my service request in with was nice as well. I would definitely recommend them.

I have used this service about 4 times now and have had good service every time. I have an Electrolux dishwasher and they are the only authorized servicer in this area. My most recent experience with them was with my dishwasher. The dishwasher broker down and happened to be the same issue they came to fix a couple of years before, and had happened to be a service bulletin item for a known issue from the manufacturer. Because the bulletin had expired in June of 2013 they could not get the manufacturer to pay for the parts and labor as was done before. Now if they were so dishonest as the other reviewers state then they would not have suggested that I call the manufacturer to get them to pay for some of the cost, which they ended up doing. The other comments made be a reviewer is they had to pay their $ 99 service before all work was completed on the first visit. This in my opinion is total BS. At no time was I charged anything until all work was completed during any of my repairs over the years. I was only charged when the work was completed, and that $ 99 was applied to the total bill. There are a lot of haters and complaining babies who are never satisfied with anything and Redlands seems to be full of a lot of people who think their sh*t don’t stink when in reality they have the stinkiest. now back to the review.
The technician that came out all three times were nice, professional and performed the repairs in a timely and quality manner. It did take longer than anticipated but that was not their fault as the manufacturer sent parts but not all parts needed to fix. Once it came though it was fixed right away and everything done correctly at what seemed to be a fair price. The only reason I am dinging them a star was for the fact that I called and left a message regarding whether I could use their $ 25 off coupon to reduce my labor charges and did not get a call back, however, the office did tell the technician about it and he was aware of it when he came and I questioned him and did give me the discount. Just remember to call your customer back, other than that I would recommend this service to anyone who needs an appliance repaired.

Most dishonest business practice.
The technician charged $ 99 for service call on a microwave with no power. J@M came back with estimate of $ 400 ($ 160 for service and $ 240 for parts). I was told they needed to replace a fuse and 4 other parts. I ended up replacing the fuse myself for $ 5 and problem solved.

This is the worst company I’ve dealt with in a while. I initially called about water building up in the bottom of my freezer back in April.

The first tech came out and looked at my fridge and charged me 140.00 to open the back of the freezer and pour hot water around the drain and chip away some of the ice build up. The tech was told me that I should have receive a call 24 hours prior to his arrival to turn my fridge off. But J&M fail to notify me of this.
Visit# 2
Two weeks later I noticed the problem was occurring again. The owner (a tech) came out and stayed for 3 min and said well we needed a heater in the freezer drain area to be installed. J&M notified me that the part was back ordered from Samsung and would come in for another 2 – 3 weeks. Parts and Labor for the drain heater was 65.00.

Two weeks later another tech arrived and could not install the heater due to J&M failing to call me again to turn my fridge off 24 hours prior to the install.

Then another week later I was set up with an appointment and I figured I should just turn the fridge off 24 hrs prior to their arrival. The day before my install J&M called and told me the wrong part was sent (so they say). Another week later they came out and installed the heater for the drain area.

After about 3 weeks I noticed the issue was not fixed. I called J&M and they came out again and said it might be the sensor in the freezer.

The tech came out and installed the new sensor.

Same problem, the owner finally got fedup and came out with another tech and took everything out and said were just going to refund you your money. During their visit, they started to take apart the top portion (fridge) and I had to tell them the problem is in the freezer. When they took everything apart, they forgot to connect the tube that freezes the water to make the ice in my dispenser.
I called J&M to find out what my refund was. I was told that I would only be getting 106.00 out of my 205.00 back, they were keeping the 100.00 for a «service call». hello BBB and small claims.
This company has issues with returning phone calls and following up.
With a total of 7 visits and 5 techs this company was NOT able to fix a simple problem of a blocked freezer drain.
FYI — I got a tech who drove out from Burbank to come fix the issue for 135.00.
