Extra Space Storage

I don’t even want to give this place any stars. My boyfriend and I just arrived at our storage unit to find someone has been in our unit going through our things. It’s someone who has a master key to our «extra space» bought locks. The locks were not broken, cut or tampered with. We don’t know yet if anything was stolen but boxes were thrown upside down, ripped open, tote containers opened, file cabinet rummaged through, suitcases open and clothes ripped out of the suitcases. This is just a few things noticed. My boyfriend’s file cabinet was wrapped with ceranwrap when we put it in storage. That was ripped off and drawers open and papers pulled out. As I said we still don’t know if anything was stolen but it looks as though whoever this was was looking for small things of value. And someone who had a key. I’ve never been a fan of storage units and this is the exact reason why!

I have had several storage units during my loooong lifetime. This was the best facility I have had. They were very friendly and the place was always very clean. Very helpful people. I just moved so no longer need there services but would not hesitate to go back if I ever need one again.

The guy was very nice and patient. His computer was down but he still was able to provide me with excellent service. Nice, clean place, good prices.

I browsed numerous storage facility websites comparing sizes/​prices/​etc. Extra Space had the best of all and even offered a web & first month discount. I reserved a unit online and was contacted within minutes by phone to confirm.
Jill was extremely helpful, answered any questions I had, and took me around the facility and showed me the unit I had reserved. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean all areas of the facility are! She assisted with all the paperwork and payment quickly.
Keep in mind that there is an insurance fee on top of the storage rental fee, but it’s very reasonable.
Jill and her husband are on-​site and the office is open 6 days a week. Gate access is from 6am — 10pm, making it very convenient.
Hoping I don’t have to store my things for very long, but glad I found a safe place with such nice people!

Let’s face it. Having a storage unit full of extra stuff that you don’t know what to do with, don’t use, have room for or don’t need is annoying, costly and just plain sucks. I wake up in the morning sometimes hoping I paid my bill on time or if I am going to soon see my belongings being sold on an episode of Storage Wars. I hate it, need to get rid of it, I am always late with my payment cause it hurts every time I pay it.
But these are the things you deal with when you are married to someone who hasn’t thrown a thing away in 25 years. The man can’t even put clothes inside of a hamper! He drapes them across the top!
That being said, I have to say that since I do have a unit, I sure am glad it’s here. I absolutely love Jill and Ron. They remind me when I am late without annoying me, are very accommodating if you have a request, they keep the place impeccably clean and it looks and feels very safe. Once I got a call on an evening I went to my unit and it was Jill letting me know she went around making sure locks were securely locked up and mine was not… so she did it. Jill is nice enough to remind me that I should soon condense down to a smaller unit because she knows how our massive 20′ x 40′ is half empty and we are wasting money.
They are open for access until 10 pm. Most others in the area are as early as 6 or 7! Aside from the fact that Ron finds it amusing to watch me try to park when I go there, he’s okay also ;-)

I had three storage units at this location for 3.5 years. Jill and Ren run a very professional property. I will recommend this location to everyone and anyone who has storage needs. Thank you for watching over all my units. Great job!!!

For many reasons due to this economy, I had to move my office and household belongings to Extra Space in Redlands. The price on the internet got me, as well as the location. When I called, I was told that the quoted price on the internet was not current, that it was actually $ 10.00 more, I then moved in and the price magically increased yet another $ 10.00. Since I originally thought I would only need the space for a few months, I agreed. After a few months, my rental space magically increased AGAIN, since I have been moving, the letter informing me that it had increased did not reach me, I sent in checks with the original rental agreement amount, but since I was $ 9.00 short, they would not accept the checks, sent them back, cut the lock on my unit, charged me late fees for not including $ 9.00 in the check, put a lien on the unit and were going to sell my stuff if I did not pay the entire amount. Oh I forgot, I am being charged for the new lock. This is extortion of the worst kind. Do not rent from this or any other Extra Space, they nickle and dime you, threaten you with loss of all of your property for less than $ 100.00. Tell me, what would they do to people fighting for our nation over seas?
