Dande Hardwood Floor Co

I had Dande Hardwood give me a quote for installing hardwood floors on the main floor of my house.
When the guy came out to measure the house to give me a quote, he was condescending and rude. I told him that we had done some looking, and we liked the look of Acacia flooring. He didn’t seem to know what that was, but pushed on and told me that I’d like the look of 2 ¼ inch oak flooring better anyway. I explained that we didn’t like the look of oak, or the narrow boards. He asked what else I liked, and I told him we also liked the look of some of the 3 ½ inch hickory floors we saw, and he told me he’d give me a quote for the hickory.
He was explaining how their process worked, and told me that tearing out the tile in our kitchen would cost quite a bit of money. I explained that we were considering doing that part ourselves to save some money and he told me to «stick to my day job».
When he called me a week later to give me the quote he had put together, it was for 2 ¼ inch red oak flooring. Not only did he write up the quote for the wrong kind of flooring, but he wrote it up for exactly what I told him I didn’t want.
I’ve never had a worse experience with someone who was trying to get my business, and I would certainly never hire them to do any work at my house given the way the quoting process went.
