We’re like a mobile Apple Genius Bar and Microsoft Professional rolled into one easy to understand and friendly business. We also specialize in cloud services like Google Apps or Office 365 and make mobile devices play nice. We choose to work with honesty, quality and integrity with businesses and people in our local community. We enjoy seeing people succeed in the technology world!

History

Established in 2006.

We are a locally owned IT business in Redding which has been providing repair and technology services for both Apple computers and Windows PCs since 2006. We are a Microsoft Partner but only offer PC services to local businesses in our area. We happily work on Apple products for businesses and individuals alike.

We also specialize in Google Apps, Microsoft Exchange Online and other cloud services oriented towards business. We know how to make mobile devices play nice at home or at work. We choose to conduct ourselves with honesty, quality and integrity with businesses and people in our local community because we genuinely enjoy seeing success in businesses we help and our customers happy with their technology!

My computer updated to Windows 10 this morning and nothing worked. Nothing was in the place it used to be, my saved favorites for accepting payments were gone, important documents were missing etc. I called Shasta Computer Repair to see if they were able to take me back to Windows 7. Dustin was very professional, and walked me through how to do it myself in about 2 minutes.
No pressure of «you have to bring it in», no hassle, no being treated like a computer idiot. Just great service with a positive attitude and an eagerness to help.
Whatever the computer need I have in the future, I won’t go anywhere else other than Shasta Computer Repair.

I had a malware issue and Dustin allowed me to bring it back because the browser was not operating at optimum performance after it was repaired. Cody pointed out some simple issues that could be the problem and then also helped me resolve a MacMail issue I was having… all without charge and with such a friendly and great attitude. I highly recommend this computer repair shop. They proactively communicate and want to resolve your issues.

My MacBook Pro was heating up BAD whenever I streamed video or used iMovie, Photoshop, etc., Andrew took a quick look inside and I never would have guessed so much dust could accumulate in a fairly sealed machine. He throughly and carefully cleaned out all components and it now stays nice and cool and runs like a top.
I also bought a new tempered glass screen cover for my iPhone which they installed and guaranteed for the life of the phone. Now I don’t have to worry about cracking the display if I drop the phone. I like it so much more than the plastic ones, that I bought a gift certificate to give to a friend who is hard on her phone. Better to replace the tempered glass protector instead of the iPhone screen. These would be great for teenagers who tend to be careless with their phones.
The atmosphere there was so professional and it’s obvious these guys enjoy their jobs, know what they are doing, like each other, and love to make their customers happy with their (superior IMHO) Apple products, as I observed when another customer was there too. Good customer service seems to be fading nowadays but these guys have it down.

After spilling vitamin C water on my mac laptop, frying the main board and loosing a five page paper due in two days, I thought I was out of luck. Hours later my father and I decided to hit up plenty of electronic and computer stores that told us I was in fact out of luck, Shasta Computer Repair was our last stop. The guys working their were very eager to here my situation and try everything they could to get my paper off the mac. Around this time my computer had been fried for over 5 hours and they were able to dry the board and take all my information off the mac and put it onto a hard drive. They were the only computer repair shop to even take the computer apart and show us what we were dealing with, water damage wise. One of the guys working there happened to have the same exact mac laptop as mine and generously offered to try and take my hard drive out and put it in his to see if my information would pop up, not knowing if it would fry his own computer. Turns out my information was able to come up, I sent my essay to myself and got the back up hard drive of all my other pictures and videos. The guys worked patiently an hour over their closing time just to get my situation taken care of. Overall, their service was excellent, they were very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend them!

Andrew, Matt, and team are exceptional at what they do and communicated to me in laymen’s terms. They have resolved wifi issues, printer problems, and even put a partition on my MacBook so I could run windows without a hitch. Their response time is always great. They always seem to make me feel like I’m their only customer. Great job guys and keep up the good work!

Shasta Computer Repair was excellent! Took my iPad in for a severely cracked screen repair on Thursday, got my iPad back within a few days and it looks brand new. Touch sensitivity is great and it still sleeps and wakes inside its iPad case.
Andrew initially helped us and was very professional and knowledgeable of any issues we may have had. All of the staff at SCR was professional and friendly. Definitely give them a go!

The shop is under new ownership now, no longer Curtis from what I hear, so I can’t vouch for the new ownership but I’d expect he’d have sold it to someone else who takes good care.

I recently had to deal with my Mac’s hard drive crashing. After getting an estimate from a different local computer repair store over the phone I was going to try their business. However, when I arrived at that business the estimate significantly changed. I understand that this can happen when the damage is more severe, but that was not the case with my computer. I told the person at the store the same thing I had told the person on the phone and was getting a completely different estimate.
I decided to do a little more research and stopped by Shasta Computer Repair and was very pleased by their professionalism and prices. Not only did they offer me a more reasonable offer on their estimate to evaluate the problems on my computer, but they were able to offer me better warranties as well.
With Apple products and living in Redding, CA it is always difficult to find someone you trust to do a good job. Especially when Apple stores are much further away. If anything happens to any of my other Apple products I would not hesitate to return to Shasta Computer Repair.
As with most computer repairs, my only slight dissatisfaction was the time it took to repair the computer. Shasta Computer Repair did a better job than most companies I have worked with in the past. Just remember everyone, computer repairs take time and ordering parts is not always under the control of the business.

As a small business owner I can not re-​iterate enough how life saving a good IT guy can be. Everything rides on our computers functioning properly. We recently upgraded our system, and Zach set up our networking. Oh and by the way we had spyware on one system which he just took care of. The service is above and beyond.
