La Quinta Inn & Suites Redding

The service was great but the rooms were kinda dirty. The bathroom had hairs all over the ground and there was dried blood on toilet seat and even more gross the last people to stay in that room left there under garments in the bathroom hanging on the shower curtain. So I will not be back to this place. This is my first and last stay at a laqinta.

Casey at the front desk needs to be a manager! Her customer service is above and beyond!!! Appreciate her for making my experience as easy as it was!!!

Arrived after 10pm w/​o a reservation. Cheerful front desk. Computer & printer for guests in lobby. Free wifi. Good beds, clean & quiet room on 2^nd floor. Tub was easy to step in & out of for shower. Although the tub was a good nonslip kind, I would have liked a grab bar when getting in & out.

Only giving them one star because I have to:(this hotel does not deserve ANY stars! We arrived a little late after driving all day. The moment I walked in our room it just felt dirty! The bed cover has stains ALL over it! NASTY! The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in days. The bathroom had hairs all over sink and counter– were not ours! The mirror in bathroom had water spots all over it! Basically, this room was not cleaned prior to us arriving. We found three spiders in the corners of the ceiling. I woke up at 4 AM itching like crazy– had 4 big bug bites on my arms.
In the morning I decided to let the front desk know how unsatisfactory this place was, and all he said was that he would have a talk with his «cleaning crew»
Needless to say I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS HOTEL! It’s DIRTY!

My husband and I stay in La Quinta’s often and have always been extremely satisfied with the cleanliness, service and breakfast they offer. Unfortunately that was not the case at the Redding La Quinta. The bath tub had several long black hairs in it. No shampoo or soap.
I found this out after stepping into the shower. Too late to get a new room. It was obvious the bathroom had not been cleaned prior to us checking in. We both have blond hair, so it wasn’t our black hairs. Gross!
The breakfast did not have the variety of food that other La Quinta’s offer.
When checking out, the young man at the counter never bothered to ask how our stay was.
I wasn’t going to complain to him about the dirty bathroom since he obviously would not have cared.
I think I will write a letter to corporate. The Redding La Quinta is by far, not the caliber of other La Quinta’s we’ve stayed in.

This place is disgusting. Our first room stunk like piss and our second room smelt like rotten air. Looks like nothing has had a good wet wipe down in ages and the baseboards have dirt and god knows what else on them. That combined with the nasty white splattered stain on and next to the nightstand and the hooker talking to herself in the hallway is a good enough reason to pass on this place! All I can say is, sleep and checkout can’t come along fast enough!
Glad I brought my Lysol and Clorox wipes… Gross.

Again, it’s not a five star hotel but for what you expect the value is excellent. I am adding a star to La Quinta’s based on my recent stay. Redding also isn’t the best place in the world to stay, but at least this La Quinta makes it a comfortable one.
In general the business trip ended up being quite a bit of fun and I got to hang out with a few of my cool co-​workers.
PROS
+ Had a quick 15m swimming sesh in the morning (October 11). Pool guy was so nice, friendly, and chill to let me in – please give this guy a raise. Jacuzzi was great though not completely filled with water by the time I was there 8AM. In general service was excellent.
+ I went with my company so we didn’t have to check in. We just got our keys and went to our room. It was really clean and well-​kept.
+ WiFi is pretty fast and available through the property.
+ Room was huge, beds were nice and comfortable.
+ TV was great — cable, a TV guide, etc.
+ Great breakfast: hard boiled eggs, plenty of waffle makers, coffee, OJ, apple juice. Somebody here called the breakfast «anemic». I think they’re just entitled.

We will never return to this hotel ever again! We called 1 week in advance and made reservations for 1 night for our visiting relative and we requested a smoking room.
When we arrived the girl at the counter informed me as of a few months ago that the whole hotel was non smoking and did not tell us this over the phone. Our relative also complained of a stale hard bagel and stale waffles that were complimentary breakfast that was served. A total waste of time, money and embarassment to us!!!
