Bowen T Adam DO

My son has been seeing this awesome doctor since he was just under a year old. He is now almost 8. Being my first child, it was a somewhat difficult experience for me to learn that he had some eye problems and would require surgery at 16 months old. Dr. Bowen is, firstly, very good with children of all ages. He is the only Dr. of this sort in the area that takes MEDI-​CAL state insurance, but don’t worry! He is so nice and knowledgeable. He really takes extra time with each visit to address anything and everything you wish. His staff are all very nice and helpful, and efficient. My son has strabismus, and to put it simply, his eyes were crossed pretty badly. With my son’s surgery I was very nervous and anxious but he did all he could to ease my fears with his skills and medical knowledge. I was still scared, as any parent would be; I felt that he was in good, caring hands. The surgery went well and he has been receiving treatment in the years following. He did a lovely job and I wouldn’t want to trust anyone else with my baby’s eyes. He still might someday require more surgery, and I am okay with that. This doctor is great with him, has been consistent and helpful throughout his life regarding this issue and is very good at what he does. I hope he can continue to treat my child as long as necessary, I feel very comfortable and safe with my son being under his medical care.
