History

Established in 1953.

The Alpine Lodge has been a part of Red River for over 50 years. The lodge was founded by an enterprising couple who originally settled here from Garmish, Germany. The Bavarian tradition of the Alpine Lodge continues today.

They have gone above and beyond to make everything right. Owners called fast to check up on me. I got horribly sick and had to be taken to the hospital. I can’t wait to enjoy my trip next time well! The only thing that could make this place better is wifi in the rooms! =)

Stayed here during first weekend of august. Im not a skier and just went to redriver to get some cooler weather for a few days. Alpine was about the only place with any vacancy. It is in town and within walking distance of everything. Its at the base of the slopes on the little river. Staff was friendly and room was clean. $ 180 a night is fair priced for a decent place i thought. I just used the room for a place to lay my head when night came so it was just fine. Only con to the alpine i have is it gets pretty noisy in the a.m. u can hear every toilet and shower running in ur unit above or next to you and can hear everybodies business they are talking about lol. There are no a/​c units in the double queens that we were in but theres not much of a need for them in red river. One day it was in the mid 80’s and got a bit toasty in the room and would have been nice to have a cool room. I would probably stay here again.

Beautiful décor in the room. Booked a double queen jr suite with a balcony. The staff was really friendly and the toiletries were very nice. Loved the wooden dining table and gas lit fireplace. The only downfall was the entire ski area was under construction. It was at no fault of the hotel… they have no control of what the non property construction people were doing. So if you book anywhere in the ski valley be aware all of it is undergoing construction and pick the hotel with the best interior for your stay. Alpine surely made things better.

Comfortable lodging and one of if not the only place in town that would take a one night reservation, so that is a definite plus in my book. Check in wasn’t until the afternoon, but we were given the courtesy to check in that morning, again another plus. They have it all at the Alpine Lodge, rooms, suites, cabins, etc.
Walk out the back side of the main Lodge, take the bridge over the river and across the street to do some skiing. It’s that close!
2 hot tubs are on the property to ease those aching muscles after a full day of skiing.
Friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms, great location and amenities, what more could you ask for?
This is first and only choice next time I’m in Red River.

Very nice cottages. The place is perfectly clean, neat as a pin, and run with class. They have a no noise policy from 8pm to 8am. We appreciated that so our evenings could be even more relaxing. Price is good, access is good, a gem in Red River.
