Michael is an AV Peer Rated attorney admitted to practice in all courts in the State of New York and the Federal Courts in the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of Connecticut, the First and Second Circuit Courts of Appeal and in the United States Supreme Court.
Michael began his legal career interning at the Manhattan and Broolyn District Attorneys’ Offices and has been litigating continuously in local, state and federal courts since 1993. Prior to moving to the Hudson Valley in 2005, he worked in small and mid-sized law firms in Manhattan where he specialzied in all aspects of criminal law with an emphasize on criminal trials, criminal appeals and post-conviction relief.

Michael currently focuses his practice on all state and federal criminal defense, DWI/DUI, entertainment and sports law and criminal immigration defense usually when Immigration and Customs Enforcement («ICE») are involved. Over the years he has successfully overturned criminal convictions for non-nationals allowing them to remain in the United States rather than be deported. Michael has also helped numerous clients correct errors on their criminal records and obtain certificates of relief from civil disability.
In addition to litigating in the trial courts, Michael assists people who have not been charged with a crime but are subjects or targets of grand jury or regulatory investigations and responding to subpoenas.
