History

Established in 2009.

The Spa Downstairs came about for two reasons. One, because of my desire to provide a sanitary environment for services, where the quality of the service was not compromised and prices are kept affordable. Two, I am a strong, independent woman. I know what I like in a service and what I want to provide for my clients. I have respect for my profession, and for my clients, and do not want to be held to a lesser standard by an employer.

As a professional, and someone who receives these services, it was very distressing to repeatedly see poor sanitation habits, and the low quality of the service and products used. Having my own Spa allows me to guarantee to the client that they are cared for, safe and pampered, while in my hands.

The Spa Downstairs provides quiet, comfortable surroundings, safe procedures and a professional demeanor.

Business Owner

I received my Esthetician license in 2002. My first job was at a super busy day spa. I received fantastic post-​licensing training and education, from mentors and The International Dermal Institute. I have over 150 hours of classroom education, and continue to attend classes to keep me up to date.

Eventually I opened my own studio, which I operated for four years. I continue to travel to Los Angeles monthly, providing excellent services for about 25 clients who claim that their skin cannot survive without me

Wanting a simpler, less congested life, I moved to NorCal in late ’07. I went back to school to obtain my Manicure license in early 2008. I found that being an «employee» didn’t suit me, so opened up my own Spa, with the encouragement of my clients.

I love my job and I believe that comes through in my services. I apply the Golden Rule to my business; «Do unto others as you would have others do unto you». I want the client, to have the best possible experience.
