Holiday Inn Express & Suites Red Bluff-South Redding Area

I noticed this place from the freeway because it looked nice, new, and spacious. I was driving from Los Angeles to Seattle and needed a pit stop half way. I really enjoyed this place and noticed the huge lounging area when I walked in. Everything looked so NEW. I was told the building is only four years old. Dominique greeted us and she was professional, helpful, and courteous.
I requested a room with a window facing the front parking lot so I can keep an eye on my car. I felt uneasy because since I was moving, I had my whole life packed in the car. Luckily, Dominique was able to accommodate me and explained details and pros&cons about the room. I really appreciated that she took her time to be so through.
The suite was nice and spacious. There was a couch, fridge, microwave, and big tv! The tv swiveled to face the bed and the couch so i was able to watch tv from anywhere in the room. The perks are the awesome free channels: HBO, A BUNCH OF ESPN channels, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, HGTV. I was very pleased.
Yes yes yes I would recommend this place.

this is the Holiday Inn that other Holiday Inns should emulate. only suggestion would be to get a room that faces away from the railroad tracks to minimize noise from one late night train blowing its horn.

This hotel was #1 in Red Bluff on TripAdvisor and «the newest and most modern hotel in the Mount Shasta region» according to its website, plus reasonably priced, so we booked it. It was perfect for a 2-​night stay visiting family who live nearby. Clean, comfortable, spacious room (not really a «suite,» although it did have a sofa bed). They have a nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi, small fitness room open 24 hours/​day and complimentary buffet breakfast w/​pancake maker; small business center, and even guest coin-​operated laundry. Free parking and wifi. No free evening drinks and appetizers (they informed me that’s only Holiday Inn, not Holiday Inn Express; never knew that). Still, free parking and wi-​fi. Very pleasant, comfortable stay for our first trip to Red Bluff.

The front desk staff was soooo helpful! My husband was staying there for work on his birthday. Michelle at the front desk was so helpful in coordinating a surprise for his birthday! Just on customer service alone i highly suggest!

The room was super clean and spacious. Everything in perfect condition. It included pancakes for the kids at night and free breakfast.

To the professional, customer-​focused hotel manager with the embedded white ear ring — you made me and my family’s day. Last week, we were on our way to Lassen Volcanic National Park — a wonderful park without the Yosemite crowds, but all of the beauty and much to take in. Tired and grouchy from several hours of driving with two kids in the back who were hungry and at each other’s throat, we decided to take a chance and take a early stop at the holiday inn express we had reserved for that night in hopes of an extremely early check-​in (i.e., 10am).
WITHOUT HESITATION, the new trainee at the front desk looked for our room and checked to see «what was possible». She asked for help from the manager and, WITHOUT HESITATION, found that while our room was not ready yet, they would prioritize the cleaning and set up for that room so we could check in shortly (about 30−40mins). He told us to go have a warm, buffet style (coffee, freshly made pancakes, warm cinnamon buns, fresh fruit) breakfast while we waited.
We were expecting to be turned away, but instead were welcomed. The wide eyed look of my wife (who is typically a difficult person to surprise) when I told her we not only could check in, but we could enjoy the breakfast was when I knew I had to post a positive review. She was able to take a fresh, relaxing shower. And as any fella knows — happy wife, happy life.
While the hotel probably can’t handle everyone checking in early — this focus on our family’s customer experience surprised me and absolutely made our day and trip to the volcano. This manager also modeled this behavior for the trainee as well which tells me that I can almost expect this consistent level of service from others as well. It was enough to compel me to write about the man with the white ear ring. :)
Oh, and the beds and pillows were comfortable too.

Very clean… very modern. Air conditioning works well. Breakfast was good. Dining room large. Pool was small but they do keep it cleaned. Hot tub in room… brilliant idea!

The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. It was 97degrees and she immediately offered us bottles of water. Check in was painless, rooms were clean and comfortable, pool/​hot tub were great and breakfast remained fully stocked despite being a full house!

Only motel, inn, hotel that has ever told us their goals and asked us to help them reach them. They gave us a «Quick Reference Guide» which included services and internet (which was the most efficient log on ever!)
Warm and efficient staff were concerned about our stay. Lovely, clean and well maintained room.

This was an amazing hotel, very clean and modern. We came up to visit family and ended up staying her.
Pros
The pool was indoors which was perfect for my little ones so we didn’t have to worry and sunburns it’s also heated which was great!
The rooms were super big there was more than enough room for the four of us.
I love that they provided bath and body works toiletries in the bath room.
We also had a mini fridge and microwave in our room!
Cons
The breakfast while it had a large selection the only stuff that tasted good was the cereal and the pancake.
The bathtub took forever to fill up but the shower was great.
And lastly they need Disney channel!
Over all we loved it and will be staying here everything we come to town!

POOL HORRIBLE VENTILATION! The hotel is an excellent condition. The rooms have tall ceilings, everything about the rooms and hotel are great Great Customer Service and the breakfast is awesome! EXCEPT the swimming pool. So if you are Not going to use the swimming pool by all means stay at that very nice hotel. If you are thinking about using the swimming pool make sure you bring a breathing mask and eye protection gear. The fumes of the chlorine make it difficult to breath and your eyes actually start burning. I have no idea who design this pool are but i can tell you someone took NO time at all to ensure proper ventilation for that indoor pool. Owners should demolish the pool and use that room for a pool table games for the kids etc. It’s a useless Pool!

We had an okay stay. We were in a room on the 3^rd floor, which had nice high ceilings. The hotel is newer and mostly clean.
Check in: We had waited for the front desk to take two new phone calls before anyone acknowledged us.
Room: We found loose hairs and the room smelled like mildew.
We were shocked to find they offered 1000 points if you rank them 5 stars and show them… No wonder reviews are so high.

Excellent two night weekend stay! Super clean rooms, really great breakfast included, and friendly staff. Used my government ID for a substantial discount, too. After reading other reviews, we asked for a room near the back to be farther away from the train tracks, and had no issues with being awakened by them. Great stay! We’ll be back on our SoCal to Portland treks!

This is pretty much a standard Holiday Inn Express. I’ve stayed at so many, they all get to look alike. I’m just on my way up the I-​5 like many of the other people that stay here. I don’t think too many come to Red Bluff to vacation for 2 weeks. Stayed one night and the staff was great. I got a room near the front. That saves a lot of walking when you load and unload, plus the free breakfast buffet is close so you can eat in your room easy if you like. The prices here are around $ 100, depends who you book with. This is one of the newer properties and there is a Starbucks nearby! The wifi is free and seems to work fine.

Love this place, as you enter the property the light fresh fragrance greets you, and just that one simple sensation was an indication of a pleasant stay.
Staff was great all around, chocolate chip cookies, great big rooms, fluffy and fresh beds, linens & towels.
I book jr suites for my overflow clients here, they love it.

Great hotel. We are always driving through from LA to PDX to LA and we were so happy to find this HIE. It’s always cleans, comfortable, the staff is always friendly & most importantly they have no problem w/​our 3 small dogs. It’s less than 2 yrs old so everything is modern and well kept. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

So far, so good. The room we stayed in was nice and spacious with plenty of room to move about and have suitcases sprawled on the floor. I guess that is because we stayed in a room with one king bed as opposed to the two queen or full sized beds.
Our room is near train tracks, and I could hear a train loudy passing by our room at 9pm. If you are sensitive to sounds this may not be the right place for you. It was brief and not too much of a concern for us, but happened nonetheless.
The room itself had some echo to it and I could hear all the doors opening and closing in the hall around me. This tends to be a problem with most hotels I have stayed at, but I would think they could do a little more sound proofing.
The toilet paper roll was annoying! It’s set with an extra roll behind it which makes pulling some off difficult. We ended up removing the roll from the bar and setting it on the counter.
They have small bottles of Bath & Body Works shampoo and conditioner which was cute. I usually bring my own because the stuff the hotel provides is usually some odd brand/​texture/​smell. I don’t normally go for Bath & Body Words stuff, but it’s nice to see a bath product I recognize.
The staff is friendly and the hotel offers free wifi. I have yet to try their complimentary breakfast, but overall, we are happy we stayed here!

So glad we skipped staying in Corning and decided to drive 20 more minutes to Red Bluff. Corning just had a bunch of truckers and would-​be prostitutes. Plus, other motel reviews in the area mentioned bed bugs. Sad face. I was traveling with my parents and 3 yr old child.
We were able to book a night for $ 109 + tax, so it came out to be about $ 119. We got a double queen and a pull out couch suite. Room was nice and clean. As was the bathroom. My husband said he thought the bed was comfortable. I thought it was on the softer side. I felt like I kept moving to the edge of the bed and would slowly roll to meet my husband in the middle. He claims he was unaware of this happening. Either way, we were well rested to continue our trip the next morning.
Their free continental breakfast was one of the better ones I’ve seen. My parents loved it, especially. Old people love free breakfasteesesiss. I would definitely stay here again if passing through.

Conveniently located right off I5, this newish (maybe just a year old) HIE was a great choice for an overnight stay on our travel between Bend (OR) and Napa. Spacious and comfortable guest rooms, sparkling clean everywhere and friendly and efficient staff at check in and check out. Refrigerator in room. Free wifi at decent speed. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub.
The only drawbacks were a pretty awkward shower head in the guest room shower, unavoidable residual noise from I5 (although did not interfere with sleep), not much sound proofing between bathroom walls (you know what I mean), and absence of anything we wanted to eat (like fresh fruit) at the breakfast buffet (although, the warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby at night made the perfect dinner snack for us).
The other good option in town is a nearby Hampton Inn, but you’ll find lower rates here and a better value.

1) PARKING: Ample space in their lot.
2) ACCESSIBILITY: From parking into public spaces, all seemed nicely accessible. Didn’t check accessible room set ups or for lift at indoor pool.
3) SHOWER ONLY ROOMS: Didn’t know this until after check in but they apparently have some shower only options (as opposed go standard shower over tub). If you also prefer shower only, ask them.
4) NEIGHBORS: Home Depot next door. Gas station across front lot.
5) EATS: Best bet is Starbucks, about half mile away in Red Bluff Plaza.

It is brand new as they tell you when you call them. It shows with amenities like the fitness center and the washer and dryer for guest use.
The room remained immaculate for the duration of my two week visit. I was pleased with the help of the staff as I remained for work in the area.
I never set foot in the Hampton for a direct comparison (you can see it from the third floor), but I never needed to. This place is a fine choice.
