Comfort Inn Red Bluff

We checked in and the lady was nice but the hotel had the smell and look of an old hotel that had cheap renovations to look nice. Our room was non smoking but smelled like smoke. Dog food on the floor, mismatched furniture, marked up bathroom door, dirty filter in the coffee maker. The bed looked nice and was marginally comfortable. Overall I was really disappointed in this comfort Inn for the price. At over $ 100 I expected much better than Motel 6 and the other Comfort Inn locations I have stayed in have been very nice. I probably would not stay here again.

Very comfortable King size bed and the room was immaculate! The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was good. Easy off, easy on the I-​5 with multiple choices for food! The only issue we had was the inability to connect to their network for the internet. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Lovely hotel, comfortable, clean and attentive. Welcoming without being suffocating. Nice fitness room, handy laundry room, spacious bedroom with nicely demarcated areas so that one person can sleep and another can use the office area without disturbing them. Bathroom and dressing area felt extreme luxurious. I’d stay here again.

I stayed about a week at the hotel while exploring Lassen Volcanic National Park. The hotel is quite a drive from the park (about 45 min) but I would stay here again. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was okay but no different than if I stayed at a Best Western. Typical fare: waffle machine, eggs, sausage, breakfast breads, yogurt, cereals, fruit. Did not try the wifi. Loved having the microwave and mini fridge in the room.

Awesome beautiful room super comfy beds nice friendly people — regular breakfast the only complaint I had is the wifi sux! Wanted to watch Netflix and couldn’t oh and the elevator smells really bad !!!

This hotel appears to be a recently remodeled older building. The front desk staff was very nice.
The room was large and recently remodeled but oddly furnished and laid out. The TV was to the side of the beds. There was a little square table where the other rooms had a sofa. The mini fridge was tiny and not very cold even on max The bathroom was newly painted and the sink and fixtures new. The shower curtain was new but too short for the tub with the newer style curved shower rod that they recently put in, (the old bracket holes were still visible) so water leaked out on the floor, but there was plenty hot water.
There was a fitness room with a stationary bike, elliptical, treadmill and universal machine, all appeared new, but no water available and no remote to turn on the tv. We even brought the remote down from our room to see if it would work but the TV had never been programmed, despite being dusty and therefore not newly installed. There was nowhere to leave your workout towel (which was a large pool towel, only choice) when you were done.
The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. The carpet looked new. We slept well.
Breakfast was forgettable. Except for the eggs and sausage it was all prepackaged sugary options and non-​environmentally friendly styrofoam. Particularly noticeable to us having just come from Oregon where they are extremely environmentally conscious.
There are restaurants nearby, mostly fast food and Applebee’s and a Starbucks and a pizza place.
In summary, it looks like the owners are trying to make it nicer but could greatly improve by paying attention to details.
There are several other choices in this price range in the area.

Worse stay ever my dog had to be rushed to vet because he ate something that was left in the room. The management was terrible and was going to charge extra because our 2 lb dog was sick. Never ever stay here!

Great Inn with fabulous accomodations. You got everything you need. They provide free wifi, gym, microwave and mini fridge, what more do you need. We are staying here for 2 nights while visiting lassen national park. Highly recommended, newly renovated with everything new from carpet to bathroom. It’s really way above my expectation. There are restaurants in just around the corner. We just went to Mcdonnald for ice cream and saw Wendy’s, Applebees and Carl’s junior all in walking distance. Fantastics!

A great place to stay, everybody is so nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean and beautiful!

We would not stay here again. Room was not very clean and had lots of bugs. We also made reservation on trip advisor for double beds. Upon arrival they had taken our money and did not have our room. There are no refunds onsite, so we had to accept a room with a king bed and pull out couch/​bed. The pull out couch was new and still all wrapped up, so we had to undue straps and plastic ourselves.

Decided to stay at hotel again since previous visit was pleasant… booked into the hotel on 5÷23÷15 around 3pm… Got last king size suite… I asked the clerk if it was a non-​smoking room, she said yes «all our rooms are non smoking»…registered then left for some sight seeing around the area. Got back to hotel around 7pm, entered #324 suite and smelled smoke… I called the front desk and they said «Room use to be smoking, but that was 2 months ago.» I told her that if she had said this when I booked in I would have gone to another hotel… I am allergic to smoke… Front desk person said «I’m booked so no other room available.» Since it was late and all other hotels were filled… stayed the night but put the air conditional on full blast to circulate the air. In the morning the carpet below the AC was soaking wet, the toilet & shower made horrible air sounds when being flushed or in use… and the tap on the hand sink was placed in opposite direction. I have left message at corporate regarding this terrible stay and hope to hear from them. My husband, who travels in this area will not be using this hotel again… Bad room stay, staff is not knowledgeable, and overall a ruined Memorial Day weekend.

Although we had a huge room with very comfortable accommodations and friendly front desk person, I would not return here because I was itchy the next day and had a weird rash on my leg from bug bites at the Comfort Inn.

Quickest check in ever! Downhill after that, the damp urine smell was everywhere except in the kitchen when waffles were cooking. The bathroom tub creaked so loud I checked to see if I was safe from falling through to the room below! The hot water soon turned cold so shower aborted! The pool was full of families at 9PM and closed at 10 so no romantic swim for us ;(
I’ve seen worse but there is room for improvement here.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are dated, as is the entire hotel, that is in need of updating. We had some mold in our bathroom, but other then that the room was clean. The hotel is quiet, but be warned there as been several break-​ins in the cars in parking lots in the area. Don’t leave anything in cars. There is a lot of homeless in the area. Not the best location.

Great staff, very friendly and hospitable even with a late night check-​in. Great waffle maker for breakfast (although we didn’t try the other items). Comfy king size bed and clean room upon arrival (although it smelled a little of disinfectant).

Not as nice as appears on website. Sadly disappointed with room and pool.
Room
I called to advise we would be arriving late. I was assured they would not give my room away. I reserved a room with a King & a Queen bed, non-​smoking, pet-​friendly. I made the reservation via phone and discussed details in great length particularly about our dog. Upon arrival they were surprised I had a pet so had to «change» my room to a room on the first floor but was a chair accessible room. I declined because the bathroom floor gets quite wet from the shower. They wanted to then move us to a room on the third floor with the smokers which I declined. Ultimately, we were given a room on the second floor where dogs are normally not allowed. The room had a King and a Double, not a Queen as paid for. For being recently «remodeled» the room appeared very retro in décor, the heater had the service light on and the bathroom had hair on the floor.
The pictures on the website don’t paint a good picture of the grounds for obvious reasons. Our view from our room was run down homes and backyards.
We didn’t bother to go in the pool and the spa was empty. I had called to verify the spa was working and was assured it was. After driving in a car for seven hours the spa would’ve been nice.
Glad we were passing through and don’t expect to be staying here again.

Nice hotel for the price. The front desk agent, Tabitha was awesome, and i was glad she checked me in, rather than whomever it was that checked me out. Room was clean, and nicely furnished, the moldings at each room entryway were very nice. I didnt use the pool, so cant comment on that. The free breakfast was nothing special, but it WAS free. Two complaints i had, which I didn’t bring up with the staff, cuz I know there wasn’t anything they could’ve done about it; the water pressure in the shower. More than once while my family was showering, the pressure just dropped drastically, as if someone else stole half of the water for their room/​shower. Second thing, the Wi-​Fi signal, in my particular room wasn’t very strong, though in the lobby, the breakfast room, and my aunt’s room down the hall all had decent signal.
All in all, id stay here again if i was in the area.

My family and I stayed at this inn for 2 nights to prepare for a gathering of my cousin’s upcoming wedding that was to happen at a local golf country club located a short distance from there.
Check in was quick and smooth. The electronic keys were easy to use. Our room was comfortable and spacious that included a balcony (which was of the boring parking lot). But convenient in the aspect that we could keep track of family members coming and going when needed.
The beds were very comfortable and we could watch cable TV from the bed or you could rotate it to face the make shift «living area» at the entrance side of the room. The bathroom was pretty standard, and offered a vanity sink with the separate, private toilet and shower area. A few minor inconveniences were that one of the heat lamps in the bathroom popped and made a shattering sound that made me duck and cover my head. To my relief, no glass particles ever made it the floor. I guess it stayed within the bulb, but it did give me scare! Another annoyance, was that the bath tub in our room and others, made loud creaking sounds while showering! My boyfriend said that whoever installed the tubs didn’t do it properly and eventually these tubs will end up cracking!
Trying to use the outlets seemed almost humorous as we tried to plug something in. They were so worn that the plugs kept falling back out!
They also offer a free breakfast that I never tried, but heard it wasn’t that enticing. There is a Perko’s Coffee Shop within walking distance, a fast food restaurant or Applebees nearby.
The staff is very nice and accommodating and the rooms are kept neat and tidy. Basically, the Comfort Inn does live up to its name. Just don’t expect perfection!

The room was spacious, the television worked, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, we even had a balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was rather Spartan but there is a decent breakfast restaurant across the street. Maybe the hotel management read the reviews because the parking lot was very clean.
Three and a half stars.
