Specialties
If you are looking for a genuine foodie experience? Zoni’s is the place for you! Thin crust coal fired pizza, coal fired wings, coal fired meatballs, fresh salads, pasta, paninnis and entrée specials. At Zoni’s, we try to do everything from scratch. Such as, grinding our own meat for our coal fired meatballs and hand formed hamburgers. Meat that is NEVER frozen by the way. Our fried mozzarella is hand cut and breaded, not from a box. Our fried mushrooms are fresh mushrooms that are hand breaded as well. Coal fired wings and buffalo wings that are from fresh, NEVER frozen, chicken that is marinated over night in fresh squeezed lemon juice, rosemary, fresh garlic, salt and pepper. When they are nice and charred, we put a generous portion of carmelized onions on top and toss them back in the oven to meld together. Lets not forget that we also offer homemade desserts, such as fried Oreos, Cheesecake, Italian Ice from Brooklyn and Nutella Pizza to name a few. That’s the way food should be.
History
Established in 2013.
Zoni’s Coal Fired Pizza was created after the purchase of the former «Coal» Coal Fired Pizza. We decided to form a friendly and cozy, family type, neighborhood restraunt. Our idea is to create all of our food from scratch just like Grandma did back in the day. Even growing alot of our own herbs and vegtables in our local garden along with supporting local farmers as well.
Meet the Business Owner
Catherine K.
Business Owner
Catherine’s family moved to the US from the Phillippines when she was 12 years old to chase the American Dream. After college at San Francisco State, majoring in film studies, Catherine moved back to Brooklyn to pursuit a career in the movie industry. Eventually discovering that she wanted to work for herself, she decided to start Zoni’s Coal Fired Pizza. With the support of her husband and family, she was able to follow her passion for great food that started when she was a little girl in the Phillippines. This passion has traveled with her across many states and countries as she refined her taste buds, while sampling different regional and cultural foods. Catherine strongly believes that inorder to be a successful family run business, you have to support your community by giving back to local schools and churches along the way.
