I am only giving this 1 star because I have to, I absolutely do not recommend this place. The doctor(I believe Dr Lee), was very rude and not welcoming when I arrived, he seemed to be anoyed that wehen I arrived early I disrupted his t.v. watching. He took me in the back and looked at my legs and said that the 2 types of veins that I have are not good candidates or the lase but he would try it anyway. He said I might get some scarring or pigmentation. Well I certianly got a scar, He put an ugly hole at the bottom of my leg(first it turned itno a bad blister and wouldnt heal, then turned into an ugly scar). He said dont touch it, so I didnt, not I feel self concious and disfugured. Please If you want to get something dont, do not go to this group save your money, do research and go somewhere decent.

I am now 9 months post spider vein treatment and not only was I dissatisfied with the level of professionalism but I also knew that the doctor was burning my skin. I had mentioned to him several times during the procedure that it actually felt like my skin was actually burning(I know this is not normal because I have received these treatments in the past by a skilled professional). He said that was normal and continued. I know there was pain associated with it so I trusted his knowledge or lack there of. I was informed by the doctor that he got into the aesthetics field because his last occupation as a delivery room doctor was too taxing on his life. Seems to me he was looking for some quick money from eager patients without having much knowledge about laser treatments at all. I now still have little white scars all over my legs where the laser supposedly treated them. I am very unsatisfied with this practice. They certainly need more training!

So I bought a $ 35 Groupon for Microdermabrasion, which is a steal considering that most places charge $ 50 – 150 for this procedure. This should already mean that this place is hungry for business and dying for new customers, whom they would want to keep so that they can make some kind of money from such offers. It took me a while to make an appointment because every time I called, the lines were either busy or no one picked up during ‘business hours’. Once I made the appointment, I tried to cancel it due to a family emergency and tried calling several times, each time getting the busy signal or no one responding. When I actually got through to reschedule, the person who picked up was not friendly and aggressively said — sorry, you didn’t show up, so your Groupon expired. She wasn’t interested in listening to my reason and said she’s always there to pick up the phone and it is impossible that the lines were busy or no one picked up. When I asked if there is anyone I could speak to, she said ‘No, I’m the office manager. You can buy our regular priced $ 95 treatment and get $ 35 off from the Groupon or call Groupon and deal with them. The entire time, her tone(her name is Gina) was very rude and unwelcoming to me as a possible new customer. Being that I have several gfs that would’ve enjoyed a similar treatment and my recommendation as a Red Bank resident would’ve been valuable, they now lost a customer and a possibility of more.

I just went there for my very first pixel laser treatment with Dr. Humphries. The laser itself is actually quite painful. Having been visiting various spas lately thanks to Groupon, I’m now a little nervous about the level of care I’m receiving! For example, I wasn’t asked if I was using acutane, breast feeding, pregnant, etc. Then the doctor did not do any kind of pretreatment to my face before using the laser. No wipe down or soothing gel. But I’ve never had pixel lasering down, so I’m not sure if she should have. I do know that before my laser hair removal and Botox there was pre-treatment procedures done. After the painful procedure, I was not given any follow up care instructions. The doctor asked if I had any questions, but honestly I didn’t know what to ask. Luckily, online I found a pre and post treatment guide from another spa on how to treat my skin. Apparently it should be treated like an open wound! Also, what is the deal lately with these doctors who didn’t specialize in cosmetics doing cosmetic procedures?! Dr. Humphries is a pediatrician and my laser hair removal doctor is a gastroentonologist . I usually follow my gut about a spa by looking at a place’s website. I went against my instincts to go to this med-spa considering the website is poor at best. The reason I over ruled my instincts is that pixel is extremely expensive, and I couldn’t beat the price here. I just hope my face doesn’t suffer as a result. Follow up(2 weeks later): Yes I paid for two up front. My face did recover properly after the first treatment. The second treatment I brought ointment and used ice to numb my face… this helped a lot! But the second time was much shorter and she seemed to miss spots… I just really hope I’m not throwing my money away and that this is the real deal…

The Dr. was beyond rude and what I can only explain as combative. He verbally blamed me for being«late»(in reality, right on time) and told me it’s the reason there were 2 other people waiting behind me(1 of who was a walk-in who came in right after me, and 1 who came very early for her appointment actually) as he tried to pressure me into something I still had questions on. I walked out and would never give this man my business, even if it’s a more economical option. Virtually no concern for clients. It’s very clear to me that this Dr. went through school solely for money. He’s very condescending and it’s obvious he thinks his patients are dumb asses. He also stated that they weren’t there to «rape» people(in a monetary sense.) I have a real problem with someone professional talking to their patients this way and I find it improper.

I’m getting a laser procedure done here and everyone is really nice. The doctor performing the procedure is funny and makes the time go by faster. They were very reasonable with pricing and they let me set up a no interest payment plan. I’m thinking of getting something else done there now.
