Probst Susan J, MD

I have to actually like my physicians. I’m weird that way. Which is why several years ago I switched from another gynecology practice to Dr. Probst’s in West Reading. Staff is friendly, professional, and they don’t overbook so my appointment times are, believe it or not, on time. I have seen both Dr. Probst and Beth (Nurse Practitioner), and I am very happy with both of them. Last year, I had to have surgery and was extremely nervous, but their honesty about what I could expect and reassurance, made for a successful experience. Because of the type of surgery I had, I need to have exams more often than most. I just had my annual today with Beth and she is always so informative, patient, never dismissive, and just so easy to talk to. The office and exam rooms are clean, though a little dated, but I find it charming. As the office is located on a corner, there is plenty of parking along the front and side streets.

Dr. Probst is a wonderful, kind, professional MD. I went to see her for multiple problems including bladder infections and a uterine cyst. She ultimately did a hysterectomy for me at Reading Hospital (after sending me to UPenn for a referral to see if a different treatment would work for me– they said it wouldn’t). I feel like a new person now. Dr. Probst is up to date on all of the medical advances, and she actually cares about you as a person. I would recommend her to anyone. (Her nurse practitioner, Beth, is also awesome!)

I have gone to Dr. Probst for over 20 years. She helped me find a problem I struggled with during my first visit. I have had two children with her help. she does talk fast but she is down to earth very knowledgeable. I have seen the weight loss brochure there but it has never been pushed on me or even mentioned. Her NP Beth is also great. she spends time with you and takes as much time as needed to answer any concerns I may have.
