Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance is committed to offering the highest quality training to its students. Our goal is to elevate each student to their highest potential, inside and outside the dance studio. We provide a disciplined, yet fun learning environment for your child and the lessons learned can be applied to any area of their life.

We offer an array of classes for all ages, starting with Mommy & Me sessions and progressing into Creative Movement thru Pre Professional Level 7. Each level has an age appropriate syllabus designed to encompass all of their needs, physically and mentally. Once a student moves into Ballet 1, we begin to build their classical ballet foundation that will guide them through the ascending levels. Included in that foundation are other forms of dance including Jazz, Tap and Modern, depending on their level. History

Established in 1966.

Formerly «The Dance Academy of Berks Ballet», Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance has ben providing Reading and all of Berks County with the highest level in truing for 45+ years. Carol Ennis is the founding owner of «The Academy». Nathan Bland is the Owner and Director of Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance and is glad to continue the tradition of excellence that Carol began.

Business Owner

After years of training and performing professionally with dance companies throughout the United States and abroad, Nathan Bland has assumed the position as owner and director of Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance. Nathan is thrilled to bring his knowledge and passion for ballet to the students of BBT Conservatory. He will also assume the role of Ballet Master of Berks Ballet Theatre.

As a young dancer, Nathan trained in the Cecchetti method, completing his exams through Grade 6 with honors. He refined both the technical and artistic aspects of his dancing while training under Melissa Allen-​Bowman at American Ballet Theatre as well as the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet.

Nathan’s experience includes dancing with companies such as Kansas City Ballet, Eugene Ballet/​Ballet Idaho, and most recently as a soloist with The National Ballet Theatre of Croatia. While based in New York City, he performed as a guest artist with Connecticut Ballet, Montgomery Ballet, and the Rebecca Kelly Ballet.
