All the reviews here are accurate. They expect brand name clothing preferably purchased same month and unworn but will only pay u like $ 2. Went in today and the rude girl at the counter asked for my license I asked why and she said it’s company policy without looking at me. It doesn’t explain why u need it. She then felt the need to recite the whole policy on selling clothes… Again I don’t care just take the clothes. She said no to my new York and company top because they don’t take formal and no to my Jean shorts with were in perfect condition because one was an old style beats me how she knows how old the style is and the other were Bermuda and they only take booty shorts. Had another white tank that was never worn but the girl said it was too worn out… And the floral dress was again not a style they take… Basically they don’t take anything no wonder the brand is going out of business. Never returning.

Do not bring your clothes to consign here! For one, they really low ball the value of your gently used clothing. The girl who went through my large bin of very neatly folded clothing (per their request when I called to inquire) tore through it leaving the unsold clothes in a heap left in the bin. After mentioning it would only take twenty minutes, nearly thirty minutes later I asked how much longer I could expect to wait and she said just a little while longer and that she was pricing out the items they were excepting. I asked nicely if she would mind folding the clothing they weren’t accepting back the way they were when I came in and she said she was sorry and she was in a rush. I told her no rush I would go to my car and wait. Twenty minutes later I returned and she had still refused to fold my clothes rather them smashing them back in the bin. The customer service is atrocious here, and to be perfectly honest the clothing they do sell is tacky, pre-​teen junk. Save yourself the time and aggregation!

Came here today to sell some of my clothes. I was here at noon and three people came in about 5 mins after me and the associates in the store helped them first and those people were in and out in 10 mins. I was there for 40 mins and the store associates were completely ignoring me and would not go through my stuff — so rude. Unfortunately will not be selling my clothes/​shoes here and I would not recommend this process to friends ! Barely looked at most of the items I was trying to sell — very frustrating and unfortunate process.

I brought 3 big shopping bags of clothes here to sell. Some were brand new from a season or two ago, many with new tags. Some were lightly worn and a bit older so I could understand them getting rejected — it was worth a shot. Of all the clothes that they looked at, they kept 3 pieces. THREE! I think they gave me like 50 bucks. I did take a minute to browse and I felt pretty confident based on the selection and condition of the clothes on the racks that they would want much of what I brought. But nope 3 pieces. I was kinda in shock so I lugged my bags back out to my car without really looking. I had folded everything nice and neat and I wish I hadn’t wasted my time. I got home and noticed that they literally balled it all up and smooshed it all back into the bags. I found it quite disrespectful. I mean we are talking nice blazers that never had a single wrinkle now in a crinkled in a ball. I called to speak to the store manager and she basically said ‘what do you want me to do about it?’. I was appalled. I would rather donate my clothes in good/​new condition than ever deal with that place again. They were teenagers behind the desk but I know plenty of kids that take pride in their jobs and would do as they are trained. I think this is a management/​training issue and I would advise people not to bother with this place.

As a shopper, the selection here is awesome and super cheap. Some clothing items aren’t even brand name, but they’re really cute and trendy, which is the only reason why I’m even giving this place 2 stars.
As a seller, don’t bother. I brought 4 small shopping bags filled with neatly folded and pressed clothes. Some were brand name, some weren’t. Some were even brand new with tags on them. And 80% of the clothes I brought were in style; I probably bought them mid-​last year. The woman took 20ish minutes to review my items, and they only took one shirt and gave me $ 2.27 for it. I should’ve listened to the Unilocal reviews — you’re better off selling on Ebay, Amazon, Poshmark, etc.
I didn’t have a poor experience with the employees though. The woman who answered the phone when I called to ask a question was really pleasant, and the girl behind the counter when I got there (different person) was nice.
By the way, it smells like cigarette smoke inside so be careful if your nose is sensitive to that smell.

This place sucks! Aweful service from the owner on down. No social skills or customer service ever! Since day one. Sloppy, smelly n crowded!

Awful! They give you very low offers but want high end clothing brands. I will not be returning. On top of it, while I was waiting for an offer on my clothes, I looked around and the clothes were extremely expensive. Definitely not worth it for used clothing. You might as well go to Marshalls or Burlington Coat Factory and purchase new name brand clothing, discounted a lot more! The employees also had such an attitude. I will never return and will make my family and friends aware to never go here. I’ll stick to selling things on eBay!

Shopping here is great. Low prices and large selection. Selling to them is a whole different story. They’re rude to you. All the girls there have always given me attitude. They take maybe TWO items you bring and carelessly throw the rest of your stuff back in your bag, then proceed to pay you $ 2. it’s completely not worth it. Aside from that, they told me the one item of mine they really wanted had a hole so they wouldn’t take it. …meanwhile I’d seen a few items shelved with holes. Gtfoh. Nonsense. Never returning.

If you’re looking to shop here, it is pretty decent and offers a nice selection of clothing. HOWEVER, if you are looking to sell, don’t bother. The young lady who looked through my bags of clothes said it would take twenty minutes to sort through them. After twenty minutes, she returned to me my bags with my clothes thrown back in and completely unorganized. She said that she could not take ANY of my clothes due to signs of wear even though some of them had never been worn before and they were all in good condition. I had donated the clothes that did not meet the requirements of selling to Plato’s (such as non-​name brands) so i was shocked when they didn’t take any of my two bags worth of clothes.

so my wife and I had A LOT of name brand (Abercrombie, Hco, Etc) clothes to donate as we are in our 30s and probably shouldn’t be wearing it anymore. Anyway, as a former manager of said brands i had tons of the stuff and many with tags still on. I’m talking jeans, shorts, shirts, polos, buttons up, everything and brand new never worn. i was about to drop it all off at good will but saw this option to make a little cash. well after waiting an hour for them to «go through» the 4 moving boxes worth of new brand name clothes, they took 4 items. 4 out of probably 200 or so. i dont really care that about the money since i was planing on donating them anyway but the fact that i lugged it all there and they said the rest i could have back pissed me off. i «donated’ them to the store at that point since i didnt want to move it again.
I’m sure the clothes i left behind will end up on the racks or associates home.

Plato has a cool concept but it is not executed well. These guys are such a scam. They don’t negotiate and will literally only give you $ 2 per a clothing item and blame the computer for the set pricing. You’re better off selling your own stuff elsewhere or donating to a good cause

This was the 2^nd time I tried to trade clothes in that were either never worn or worn once or brand new with no tags and the girl claimed she could only take one blouse which was the oldest out of all of it and brand new tote. She said there was signs of wear, smelled like smoke or dog hair when there is nothing of the kind! no one smokes, no signs of wear, and they washed and pressed with my dog no where in sight! I made sure of it! I’m so angry with this place, I’m never going back. I wanted to say so much more but I knew there was no manager in sight. I don’t think they look at half the stuff that comes in most of the time bc it all has signs of wear or dirt or crap!!! I’m never recommending this store to anyone, in fact I promise to turn people away. Biggest waste of time and loaf of horse crap ever!

Personally, I have never had a bad experience here. I have purchased numerous pair of Guess jeans for 20 dollars or less, Jcrew, Ralph Lauren, J Brand jeans, Burberry, all for very cheap prices.
I do have to look around quite a bit before I find these items, but I usually set aside at least an hour when I am shopping here. It’s a consignment store, not a retail store! Therefore, everything you look through is DIFFERENT. That’s why it seems unorganized, it really is not. Everything is in color order and the jeans are very easy to find in your size.
I am a frequent customer here and I am very glad to come back almost any chance I get.

They bought one item from my selection. They weren’t even going to show me which one until I asked. Then the remaining items were messily shoved into the bag I brought them in. They should have the decency to refold the items they don’t want. I brought them in nicely, return them in the same manner. Just rude.

I have gone to this place a few times now, mostly to trade in and then shop with store credit I rack up from the clothing trade in.
The selection is hit or miss. They have a ton to look through and market towards a very young crowd (mainly Forever 21). The prices are pretty reasonable for the most part. I noticed that certain labels, such as Juicy Couture and Vera Bradley are significantly overpriced (yeah, I get it’s a better label than Forever 21, but at that rate I rather buy new).
The customer service every time I go is pretty appalling. One time I checked out and the woman (I think the owner?) scolds the young associate beside her and tells her the item I am paying for was majorly underpriced and said, «Wow, this girl [me] really got a deal on this one!» I’m sorry, that’s so unprofessional and there’s no need to create negative energy. She didn’t have to say that as I’m paying and could have waited until after the transaction and I walked out of the store.
They also have a frequent buyer card program (funny it has taken close to 10 visits before someone offered this to me… hmm, something is off again with the customer service) where for every $ 10 purchased OR traded in, you get a stamp. After 20 stamps, you get 20% off your next purchase. I noticed after the fact that they gave me 3 stamps and short changed me 2. I saved my receipts to prove this and came back a few days later. They made such a big deal as if I was trying to pull a scam (for 2 stamps? hmm, I think I have better time on my hands than to scam for 2 extra stamps)…and was told, «As a one time courtesy, we will honor this request but cannot in the future.»

I had been meaning to make a visit here for a few months already and I finally got around to go today.
As soon as you walk in theres a wall full of purses, which was a pleasant surpise (I ended up buying one for $ 8).
I noticed that the majority of the stuff are marked at $ 8 which was fine for big brand names but I was bummed that almost nothing could be found below that even if it was a simple plain tank.
There isn’t a wide selection of shoes in my size (7, 7 ½).
It was also kind of unclear where to nativagte through the store to find my sizes.
I also noticed a LARGE majority of the clothes are Abercrombie & Fitch/​Hollister/​Forever 21 which is fine but I wished there was a wider brand span.
Not much jewelry or boots.
Ehh idk. This place is average. I expected more from it.
For the prices I see there, I’d rather go to the mall and get new clothing. Theyre practically the same prices for the most part.
Nothing impressive though, sorry.

I was unclear as to what this place what based on the name and the HUGE HANGER that is used as their store logo.
I actually thought it might be a hip dry cleaning place… but I did look it up and found out it was a place to sell your old clothes… which got me curious.
I walked it and was overwhelmed with stuff that was all current and trendy. Shoes, jackets, sweaters, dresses, oodles of belts etc etc.
Prices were excellent and many of the items have not been worn with tags still attached.
Just wish I had more time to peruse.
Gonna go back in a week or 2.
