My son wanted to better speakers for his SUV as his Christmas gift so we went to Auto Image. The salesman suggested a new radio would provide better sound, and that he had a «lesser» speaker that would be an upgrade to the stock ones. I invested almost $ 700, which we had to take on faith because they had none set up to listen to.
It took over a week for the mounting kit to arrive. We made an appointment for the installation, and were told they would need a half day to install the job, We arrived early, and were first in line.
After 9 hours they called to say car was ready. But when we arrived the dashboard was still disassembled and they claimed there was an issue with the harness; they’d have to order another one. My son was already a half day late driving back to school, so I asked for the original radio to be put back and a credit be issued, which they did, but this took another 25 minutes.
Worse was the call from my son half way to Ohio, informing me that the Alpine speakers they said would be a level better than the OEM ones are terrible, with less range and bass then the stock ones had. And the dashboard bonnet wasn’t even properly attached and has a gap.
Some Christmas gift.
Auto Image had three weeks to schedule the job, we arrived first in line on the appointed day, the work performed was shoddy, and their excuse was they were slammed with business that day. How would that make you feel?
It is very hard to find techies in the auto sound space who have a clue about how to run a business. These guys are no different. I cannot suggest Auto Image to anyone looking for quality installation and good product knowledge.

I recently got a remote start installed here. Everyone seemed nice and honest. I do a lot of the work on my car myself but installing a remote start was a bit too much for me. But the work done to my car looked neat and professional. So far everything has been working find but as we know true customer service is when something goes wrong but I hope that never happens. The only problem I had which prevented me from giving 4 stars was how they schedule the install. I think it would be more beneficial to them and their customers if they have a set appointment time for your install rather than taking a bunch of cars on a day and working on them on a first come first serve basis. It will make it easier if I knew that my car was going to be worked on let’s say at 1pm. Then I could drop it off at that time and it won’t be a huge inconvenience for me by dropping it off first thing and be without my car all day. But the guys did a good job getting my car done at a decent time. Just food for thought. Your customers would appreciate that a lot.

I purchased a 2012 car with 3500 miles and a full Alpine aftermarket stereo. Much of the unit did not work well, if at all, and had alternator whine. The selling dealer ‘tried’ to fix things but never attempted a full on analysis, satisfied that their stereo expert could look at it and know what was wrong. I fixed the alternator whine myself. I was ready to pull everything out, but gave Alpine a second time and they advised to try one of their ‘Flagship’ stores. I gave Vinny a call, stopped by that day so he could take a quick look at it, and made an appt. for today. After thorough checking it all over, including connections, wiring and amp settings, the formerly silent sub woofers were booming away and all features were working great. He charged me for about an hour’s labor and it may be the best money I’ve ever spent for piece of mind. I highly recommend this facility and the people that work there. I would gladly go back there.

I brought a stereo in there to be installed. It turned out the stereo was the wrong fit, this was my fault… They still charged me which is within their rights although other shops wouldn’t. The reason for the 1 star is that when I got the car home, the gear shift was completely bent.

I have had the windows tinted on the last couple of cars I’ve bought and the guys here do a fantastic job.
I hadn’t even thought of window tinting before I bought a car that already had tinted windows and the technology in the new films — block out heat and UV rays, as well as look good — is really something else.
Their attention to detail and interest in getting the finish perfect is really what you want from people working on your vehicle. Great job.
If there was one thing they could have done better it was cleaning the car after they were done. My car was new from the dealer, with under 100 miles when I took it in, and the exterior was a mess — they tried to clean it by wiping it down with something, but it just left a streaky mess on the body. There were at least 2 other cars that day that had temporary dealer plates on their cars, so with that much volume of brad new they should invest in some kid to wash the cars properly. I would have loved getting the car back as I left it.
The nice job on the work I hired them to do outweighs my having to get the car detailed.
