Excellent hotel! Extremely clean rooms and really convenient location. Stayed three nights and absolutely loved it. Breakfast selection was amazing with lots of choices. Would love to stay here again!

We stayed here two different times in late August, 2015, and had the same experience each time. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they went out of their way to answer questions and help us. Our rooms (suites) were nicely appointed and clean. I highly recommend this location.

We stayed here for one night only and we loved it. We got a good rate on Hotwire and we were pleasantly surprised. Front desk reception was very warm and friendly. We checked in around 10:00 PM on a Friday night and there was plenty of parking. We got a double room on the 3^rd floor. The room was very clean and the bedding and towels were nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast that included: biscuits, gravy, sausage, do it yourself waffles, yogurts, a nice selection of breads for toasting and coffee/​juice. There was plenty of seating and the breakfast food area was clean and guests were well behaved. The location is excellent and easy to get to, though currently there was quite a bit of road construction in front of the hotel. It was pretty quiet but I did hear early rising families getting up at 6 AM. The heavy room doors slam shut hard and loud. Otherwise, no complaints and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Rapid City. The property is nice and updated. The staff is welcoming and professional. We would stay there again.

Excellent service!!! Room are large, clean and the reception desk, breakfast area people and housekeeping ladies were very polite and friendly. Thanks Jennie, Steve, Courtney, Misty, Sharon and Margie for helping and accommodating our needs for the one month stay in this hotel as a transition to living in Rapid City. We apologize if we missed some of the hotel staff names, all of you were nice.
The nearby Ruby Tuesday restaurant with great food and affordable prices it’s a plus.

Nice clean rooms, large hotel. Breakfast was fine. Manager on duty in the late afternoon was really nice.

Price gouging! I am a frequent guest at comfort sites across the US. This location charged $ 160 after AAA discount for a queen double, no refrigerator and no microwave. One small bathroom. The front desk was mostly absent and when you finally got someone they were rude. They told me they charge so much because they are always 100% booked. Really? That is the definition of price gouging… I don’t recommend this property

Staying here from Saturday until Tuesday. I haven’t even completed my stay here but I feel so strongly about it that I must comment on it. My family and I started out enjoying the place but now, after two nights, I am itching to leave. The first problem we encountered were the internet issues. We are barely in our hotel rooms but anytime we are, the wifi most likely was not working. We asked the front desk about it and they told us that no one else had complained and that we must be doing it wrong… It wasn’t until an hour later when another person from our group complained again that they said they would reset the router. That fixed the problem for about thirty minutes. If you’re like us and not from around the rapid city area, it’s nice to be able to get online and look up places to go, eat, and get directions. Good luck doing that here.
The next issue was breakfast. Not so much of an issue as an annoyance. Everything was soggy and not very appetizing. They do have a waffle maker which broke while we were standing in line to use it, oozing waffle batter all over the floor and counters.
The MOST annoying thing that has occurred during the trip thus far is the constant banging that is going on above my head on the second floor. It started the second night we were here. It has been going on ALL EVENING, ALL NIGHT, AND ALL MORNING LONG. Last night I asked the front desk what in the world the pounding was going on above our room and they said «Oh, it happens all the time. Everyone we book on the first floor over on that side complains about it.» Well. Thanks for booking us in this room. I was also told that since it wasn’t quiet time at the time, there was nothing they were going to do about it. I went to the second floor myself to check things out and it was definitely coming from the rooms above us. Pretty disappointing that the front desk thinks that stomping or jumping or whatever for all hours of the night is ok.
Also, beware of the pool. I went in it last night and my eyes are so bloodshot that my family asked me if I had been crying all night long.

Stayed here four nights on a family trip. We had two rooms. This is the place to stay when doing the Mount Rushmore/​Badlands area. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable. The Breakfast is complete, changes each day and the staff makes you feel like you are at a nice restaurant. Do not goto the Denny’s across the street (that place and staff is a dive). The pool and slide are great breaks after a long day of sightseeing.

$ 80 on Sunday night — very good price for the rooms. Beds were comfortable. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here using my husbands «points». The staff were friendly. Although it was remodeled in 2009, it is starting to show some wear and tear.

I stayed at this hotel during a recent cross country road trip during my stop to visit Mount Rushmore (which is roughly a 30 minute drive away). It was conveniently located off the freeway and worked perfectly for my trip. Many restaurants are within walking distance including some chain restaurants. (There is a Starbucks about a mile away)
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and there was free breakfast and wi-​fi. I would definitely stay here again.

Super clean hotel, very helpful staff, and on the road to Mount Rushmore! The room included breakfast, which was a nice bonus that we only found out about when we checked in. We would stay here again.

VERY friendly front desk staff. Comfortable, clean, quiet rooms. Complimentary breakfast adequate. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the Black Hills or Badlands area. One thing though: flushing the toilet is like shooting a rocket. Stand back and enjoy the power of plumbing.

Great deal. I stayed for under $ 50 dollars a night. The rooms were clean and wifi/​breakfast was included. Probably one of the best deals in town. Although I feel it is a little over rated considering the reviews found here and on trip advisor.

We actually saw a certificate here saying it was the #1 voted Comfort Inn in the country — I believe it! Lovely room at a very affordable rate, nice indoor pool/​Whirlpool area, good selection at free continental breakfast — they actually had yogurts! Clean up to date business area with two flat screen computers! Staff was very friendly, they gave us cookies when we checked into our room for the evening. also helped with directions over the phone since Mapquest had given us faulty directions! Thanks for a nice stay!
