Cambria hotel & suites

This hotel was awesome! It was clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. The room was nicely decorated and had a separate sitting area with a tv. The staff was very kind and helpful. You can pay double the price elsewhere and it wouldn’t be as awesome as this hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in early November, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone from the check in staff to the housekeeping staff was extremely nice and helpful. The pool/​sauna is very well maintained as is the fitness center. We ate at the restaurant every night, had something different each night and every meal was excellent. The room was clean, the size was perfect with a separate sitting area. Roomy shower with good water pressure. The wifi worked great. It was very quiet even though it’s right off the highway. Will definitely stay there again when we pass thru town.

There were 4 of us staying in a double queen room. There was even a couch that folded out into a bed. 2 televisions. Spacious room and bathroom. Shower was very roomy. Everything was very clean. Staff was great. We needed a ride to our vehicle the next day and they had a shuttle that could take all 4 of us to pick it up. There are yummy, fresh cookies in the lobby, for free. Happy hour in the bar has half off beers and appetizers. Never got up early enough to try the $ 10 breakfast buffet. It’s over by 10 am. We had a great experience and I will be back again and definitely recommend.

For the price, you can’t find a better deal. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is extremely friendly. It has a great bar, breakfast, restaurant downstairs (See this review:
). It has a pool (we didn’t have time to try it out). The room and public areas are immaculately cleaned and maintained. Everything is modern and up-​to-​date (The place is brand-​new. In fact, the street it is located on wasn’t listed on our Garmin) Each room is a suite. We both commented that it had an odd set-​up and the king bed barely fits in the side room, but it turned out to be very comfortable and we really liked the two TV arrangement (One for the bed and one for the couch).

Great hotel! Safe area. You can tell they really go the extra mile to keep the customer service at peak and to make the stay comfortable. The only bad thing I’d have to say is the breakfast buffet is $ 9.99. Kinda steep

I have never seen a room so well maintained. That can be said for the rest of the property, as well. The service was exceptional – everyone was extremely friendly. The bed was so inviting that I had to take a nap upon arrival. The linens were thick and soft and the comforter and blankets were all very cozy, with the feathertop mattress being the icing on the cake.
The bathroom was immaculate and the towels were fresh and fluffy. The Bath and Body Works coconut lime verbena and rain scent toiletries were nice touches.
We enjoyed using the large whirlpool and decent sized swimming pool. The entire area was very clean and well stocked. We also took advantage of the fitness room which overlooks the pool. There were 2 bikes, 3 treadmills, an elliptical, cables, and dumbbells with two benches, as well as mats, medicine balls, a bosu ball, and exercise balls.
We ate at the attached Wolfgang puck bar restaurant. My caesar salad was very good (but not exceptional) and my boyfriend loved his chicken alfredo. The side of mac and cheese was just ok.
The hot delicious cookies at the front desk made our stay that much sweeter. ;)
We absolutely loved our stay at Cambria and would recommend it to anyone. It is worth the price without a doubt.

Excellent hotel, we had a room on the first floor with a living room. It was perfectly designed. Every item in the room had dual purpose. Plus it had outlet galore. 3 adult females, you can understand. Enough for 3 phones, 3 pads, iron, hair dryers, coffee maker. The restaurant was very nice, food was very good, nice wine selection, staff members were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back to this place.

Five stars for the hotel. Five stars for the restaurant and bar. Five stars for the room. Five stars for the parking. Five stars for my first and last impression. Five stars for the atmosphere! Don’t have one complaint here. I’m very comfortable and very happy. Great price! Going to have to make this my #1 stop whenever I pass through. The staff treats the guests with 100% respect. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Rapid City and this one is my top pick by far. Highly Recommended!

Very nice hotel. It was clean and had great customer service. It was centrally located to good restaurants and shops. It took me only 30 minutes to get to Mt. Rushmore.

Excellent hotel. Tasty food at the bar, reasonable beer selection, great service, and fantastic rooms. 24 hour fitness room and pool. They built the hotel in 2012 and everything is very fresh looking and stylish. Will definitely be looking for this place next time we’re in town!

An unexpected gem on our long journey west. Rooms were amazing. Very upscale and modern. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was so unexpected. Best spinach omelette I’ve ever had.

Read reviews and was very disappointed. Am hoping the reviews for other Rapid City restaurants are more accurate. Salmon was small and dry. Caesar salad was huge bit with wilted lettuce. Server was left by herself and completely overwhelmed. Not a very good experience and won’t bother trying again.

I used to stay at the Fairfield Inn when I came to Rapid City but Cambria will be my new home going forward. This hotel is very new. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are great. I had a king size bed that was easy and comfortable to sleep on. There were 2 flat screen TVs, a microwave, and a fridge. I didn’t find any safe in the room though but I’m sure they can lock up stuff for you at the front desk.
They had a welcome gift bag with my name on it when I got to my room that had a bottle of water, Fritos chips, and a Twix bar and that was nice. They also called a few minutes after I got to my room to make sure everything was ok.
Downstairs is a bar/​restaurant. They have beer and wine (no cocktails). The food is good but not a large menu. In the morning there’s a breakfast available for $ 9.99 but I don’t eat breakfast so can’t tell you much about it. I never used them, but heard the fitness center and pool were nice.
It can be hard to find. The GPS I rented from Hertz acted as though the hotel and even their address didn’t exist. I called and they gave me the address of the Cabela’s next door and that helped me get there from the airport.
I highly recommend this hotel!

All i can say is perfect. I have stayed in hotels with higher stars that dont even compare to this. Rooms are very spacious and beautiful, employees are some of the nicest people who seem to enjoy there jobs, and the food is delicious (mac and cheese is a must try). I stayed an extra night because the price compared with the service is unbeatable. Highly recommend staying here if you are on your way through.

Highly recommend this great hotel. I work for a hotel management company and was pleasantly surprised by the amenities here. Room product is great and rooms are spacious. The bed had a nice comforter, bathroom was large and great amenities. Breakfast Buffett could have used some pastries but otherwise well worth the price. Service was good too with lots of friendly people.

One of my favorite hotels in the Rapid area since it was built a couple of years ago. I am a big fan of the suite concept in hotels and usually aim to stay at venues like this one. Why a suite? Because these are set up with a sleeping area, a sitting area with a separate TV, and a little prep area with a coffee maker, microwave, and a fridge. Plus housekeeping does a nice job of keeping it all very tidy.
Don’t want to hang out in the room? No problem… the fitness area has some nice machines and is not cramped, the pool is well maintained and not too deep (no slides — sorry kids) and the hot tub is good sized. Hungry? It has a nice little restaurant and bar area in the main lobby. I cannot speak to breakfast, but the dinner menu while not elaborate, has very tasty choices; bonus: the staff is excellent.
Not interested in spending any time in the hotel? It’s near I-​90, but not noisy from the road. It’s close to Rushmore Crossing and the mall, as well as many eateries. Bonus, it’s a quick and easy drive from the airport.

For me a top notch hotel is not a place with a posh name, chic interior design or having a 5 star restaurant attached to it. A top notch hotel for ME is a place that will give me top notch service and provide me with an excellent and comfortable room to sleep in. Cambria hotel here in rapid city has provided all that for me therefore I can truly say that this place is top notch.
1. Our flight was delayed so we arrived pretty late, almost midnight. The desk clerk was alert, cheerful and efficient. Checking in was a breeze with this guy. He provided us with the room key and a little laminated piece of paper that had the hotel wifi code, hours of room service operation and hours for the breakfast buffet and cost. Very efficient… I didn’t have to ask the questions they anticipated it for me. That’s what great service is all about! Anticipating what the guests need before they even open their mouth. It makes me as guest automatically think that this is an efficient and organized place that will give me good service.
2. The room was CLEAN! For a germaphobe like me who loves to travel this is heaven sent. The most important for me was the bathroom. Oh you don’t think I check every corner? I darn well do… and this place was spick and span.
3. They provided a mini fridge, coffee maker and a microwave. They have a living room area with a tv and a desk. The adjoining bedroom area had a big comfy bed with another tv. Folks don’t need to fight over the channel or remote over here!
4. They have a business center with computers and a printer. Yay! What’s the big deal you ask? Well not all hotels have this particular area where you can print boarding passes, last minute instructions, maps etc or whatever you need. They also have a pool, gym and a fire pit area. I didn’t have time to check those out… but I peaked in and they were pretty darn nice.
5. Breakfast buffet was decent enough for $ 9.99. Hey it’s not as fancy as the buffets in Vegas but those fancy buffets aren’t that delicious either… you’re really paying for food presentation and the ambiance.
6. The maid service actually cleans the rooms! OMG major shocker and what really convinced me that this place deserves 5 stars. They actually replaced the towels with new ones and provided new soaps, lotions etc. I know really fancy places that don’t do any of that. I stayed at the Wynn last year and I know they just hung my wet towels on the floor back up and sprayed it with febreze. I knew they did this because the maid service came into my room just when I was coming out of it. Then after an hour I went back in to get something and the towels hung up were still wet and smelled like they’ve been sprayed on. (I made a complaint of course).
Anyway next time you’re in rapid city stay here! It’s fairly new and its built in an area that is still being developed. The front desk is awesome and they do their job well. The place is clean and the maid service is not lazy and actually does their job!

Rapid City’s Cambria Suites, located near I-​90 near the eastern edge of town, touches all of the bases without being particularly memorable. Well, there is a Quaker Steak & Lube to the front, the only one within over 350 miles, in case you want a sit down burger-​and-​whiskey joint within walking distance. And there is a Cabela’s, also within walking distance, that is if you are willing to either jump over a drainage ditch or walk out to East Mall Drive.
As for the hotel itself, the gym and pool areas are well-​kept, although it was a bit odd to have only two pool toys available. The hotel restaurant’s dinner was certainly adequate, though it may have featured the weakest local brew I’ve ever had, some sort of cream ale that couldn’t have exceeded 3.5%. Of course, given that a fly died in my drink, I didn’t finish it so I guess it could’ve gotten better. Nah, didn’t think so. The breakfast buffet was well-​organized and had plenty of offerings.
Our room was comfortable, large enough, and quiet enough. Cambria does what a hotel should — let you sleep safe and sound, offer a few amenities, and then send you on your way while being polite about it.

Winner! Staff that cares. Very comfortable accommodations. Clean, nicely structured room – mine was like a mini apartment. Great group gathering space. Bike wash area complete with HD cleaning products – nice touch! This place is a great value.

Well today is check out day. We spent 2 nights here. I it’s say the hotel is real nice. The rooms are very spacious and the clean. I like the pool and gym stays open ²⁴⁄₇. My kids and I loved the pool and hit tub :). The restaurant was good as well and there happy hour specials was great. I must say I will stay here again. We did enjoy are self. Now we are checking out and headed to another hotel Which is across the parking lot… :)
