I recently purchased a house in this area and was looking to install hardwood on my carpet stairs. Being an avid supporter of small businesses, I decided to give this company a shot. Although they are very professional and friendly, the workmanship is below average. I asked for hardwood stairs that matched the Bruce flooring on the first level, but what I got were«tread kits» that are sold at Home Depot. I could have did that myself. To make matters worse, they used different stain color on some of the treads. The left nail holes open and some nails were sticking out, which is a safety hazard. Less than a year later, the flooring is squeaking and moving as if it wasn’t nailed correctly. In fact, it was so bad that I asked them not to return to my house to finish the job. I ended up finishing the job myself. I’ve learned a valuable lesson that cheaper isn’t always better.
