History
Established in 1903.
Come and experience the tranquility and charm of one of the first homesteads in Rangeley. «The Big House» was raised in 1903. Though it was built a barn, it was quickly changed to a central dinning room to accommodate the booming summer tourist season.
The Farmhouse, under new ownership since 2014, is newly renovated and overlooks scenic Rangeley Lake. It’s a place to rest your body and mind, or, come and recreate until you drop! The Farmhouse offers suites, rooms or bunks for Appalachian Trail hikers, skiers, or any visitors who want to enjoy the beauty of Maine. We welcome you to experience our take on rustic elegance. Unique, creative and downright cozy.
