Nicole’s Ten Restaurant

Hands down one of the best places in Morris County for quality brew and comfort foods. You just can’t cover all the things that make this place so great. The owner gets down all the time and prepares the dishes. If we could, we would be here 3 days a week, but my heart would’t take that lightly.
We went with a couple small plates this time (Pigs Just Flew and Angry Tots) and the Way Way Too Big Shrimp Salad. Everything was, as always, spot on!
We also went with a flight of beers. The draft beers are always fresh and the lines are always clean. Thank you for that N10.
Be sure to make a reservation, even during the week, they fill up fast. There is a bar area where they serve the full menu and has a few high top tables just in case you can’t score a table.

Just had another great experience here! The chef created prince inspired specials! So creative and so delicious. What an awesome way to honor prince!
The special cocktail was ‘purple rain’. Of course I loved it.
The food:
«When ducks fry” — Rice Krispies encrusted sliced duck! It was soooo good. The chef even wrote the description to the tune of the song! «Dig if you will a picture, of a duck that is fried to a crisp.»
«Raspberry filet» — sliced pork tenderloin over a raspberry. Again this was delicious! And the description was just priceless «it’s a raspberry filet with a muddled berry sauce you couldn’t want much more.»
I just love this place and the way they honored prince was perfectly delicious. Kudos to the chef!

Scallop app was very good but only received 2 scallops. Would not recommend tuna tartar, had a fragrance taste to it. Butchers block was pretty good. No raw bar options. Wine samplers were the best value.

Awesome curated craft beer selection featuring a lot of local NJ and NY breweries.
Supportive of local homebrewers, host to MASH a Morris County homebrew.
Food is creative, inventive, and they go out of their way to pair with craft beers.
Spousal input: Some of the dishes can lean toward greasy and fatty, wish they had a more varied selection of lean, low fat options. (but I push for dinner and drinks here because the beer selection is awesome, and Nell is outstanding)

Went to celebrate a birthday dinner and was very pleased to find this delightful restaurant right on Route 10. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. The menu had lots of wonderful choices, it was hard to make a decision. I had a very generous portion of grilled salmon while my fellow diner had a linguine with shrimp and lobster which he said was delicious. It would have been nice for the dishes to be served with some kind of side dish without everything being a la carte, but I did order the asparagus. We indulged in the chocolate lava cake which was fabulous and served with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream served in another dish. Great idea. I would definitely go again to this place and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonable finer dining restaurant.

Excellent wine, beer and drinks selection to go along with exceptional food, ambiance and service! Our first time there and will be returning soon to try the rest of the tapas menu and main menu! Exceptional!

The food is amazing, the bartenders are great and the drinks were strong. I have never eaten in the actual restaurant but had a great time eating at the bar. The food was a bit pricey but totally worth it!

This place is amazing. The food is exquisite. The service is outstanding. I would recommend this place if you are in the mood for some amazing food!

After reading all the great reviews, this place was a huge disappointment.
We started off with the special small plate of the day, poutine. Waiter said the chef had perfected it. What came out was a really small portion of frozen french fries. I must admit, the gravy and the cheese curds were good, but the frozen fries I would expect from a diner.
We ordered our entrees, the French Quarter and my husband chose the daily special, Kansas strip steak with grilled shrimp. An hour later the manager comes out and apologizes saying they ran out, but he could have filet mignon or hanger steak with grilled shrimp. We had 6:15 reservations, how in the world would you run out of a special so early and on New Year’s eve. She said our orders were next and it would be right out. Close to a half an hour later, our order arrives. They cut my husband’s steak in pieces and it’s thrown on the plate with some hideous tasting brown gravy on the side with over cooked grilled shrimp. The biggest disappointment was that we waited so long and our food came out warm and not hot. My dish tasted good, but would have been better hot.
To add insult to injury, when we got the bill, we were charged the strip steak price of $ 28. The manager apologized again and bill and took $ 9 off. They also took $ 9 off for that small plate of poutine for us because I made a comment to the waiter that it wad surprising to me they used frozen fries and it brings the restaurant down a notch.

I have only eaten here once in my life, But the one time I did eat here the steak was absolutely out of this world, the service was fantastic and the portion size was more than enough. It is a small and quaint restaurant seemingly hidden as you arrive in Randoff coming from Dover up the hill. It is one of my favorite restaurants of all time and it’s a shame that I don’t make it there more. The only problem I have with this place is that it is a bit pricey and I wish I could eat there more often, But it is definitely worth the money.

This was out-​of-​this-​world amazing! From the «small plates» (which were not so small, at all!!!)…were unreal! Angry Tots, Flying Pigs, and lobster mac and cheese! Wowza!
Then the pork chop special with the cranberry and apple risotto was amazing.
The prime rib was the best we ever had… paired with a wild mushroom risotto was incredible.
The miso honey salmon was so delicious!
This place is amazingly wonderful and I cannot say enough!
One of the best meals, here, in NYC, around the globe.
The executive chef was cooking on the line and it showed.

I travel a lot, so I use Unilocal to find good places to eat. So glad I found this place! The lobster Mac and cheese is amazing. Very attentive service. I liked the tapas style menu – it gave me the chance to try the scallops and a really nice salad, too.

We had tapas. The lobster Mac was fantastic, my wife thought it was too liquidy. I loved the drink/​beer selection. Service was great. The atmosphere inside was nice. Outside doesn’t look like much. We had driven by it for years and never thought of stopping, glad I tried it and we will return.

Great food and service in a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. The small plates are great for sharing. Unique bar options. We had a flight of meads tonight.

Terrible service. The entrée I got made me sick on the spot and I sent it right back (the raw tuna was grey…) and it was on our tab until we asked for it not to be. Our drinks went empty with no notice. And the kicker– my friend is a clean eater– raw veggies/​steamed veggies only… We were told that they could not accommodate that and that if we were there on the weekend, they wouldn’t do what she asked… What did she ask? For two house side salads to be placed on ONE DINNER PLATE.
Worst dining experience I have seriously ever had.

High quality restaurant with superb service and food. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was excellent. Nothing to complain about.
However, it was difficult to communicate with our server, Matt, at times because his beautifully groomed beard was quite distracting.
Would recommend.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here last night and were totally impressed. The food was fantastic, and the service was on point as well. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a great time.
We ordered the Shock-​n-​Claw sampler, Don’t Hate the Wild Game, Sweet Jesus Oysters, and the Angry Tots. Everything was really tasty! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

After driving past Nicole’s 10 for years, my wife and I finally made it there last night. The experience was outstanding! The restaurant exudes a NYC chic, while not being pretentious. Our server, Sean, knew the menu well and was more than willing to offer suggestions.
To start, I went with the craft beer selection and my wife chose a Pinot Grigio. Since I wasn’t sure which to choose from, our server brought over a tasting of a few beers. Definitely a nice thing to do and very helpful in making a decision.
We started with Lobster Mac n Cheese since it is a staple of the restaurant along with the 12 clam appetizer. For entrees, I went with the French Quarter and my wife went with the filet with a side of cheesy potatoes. Both entrees were excellent! The French Quarter definitely brought back memories of dinners in New Orleans. If you order, remember to take the penny, and leave 3 black eyed peas on the plate! We finished with the peanut butter pie from a fantastic dessert menu.
Try Nicole’s 10, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve passed this place so many times but never really thought about stopping by. One night I decided to try it out and I was pleasantly surprised. Top-​notch service and great food.
Try the Kobe burger and try out some beer on their massive list of it. MUCH better than Morris Tap & Grill.

I’ve been living near this area for years and I never really noticed this place until I saw a Groupon for it. I came here on a Sunday night with the bf and was really impressed. I had a Groupon voucher for the flight of beers for two, Lobster Mac and Cheese and 2 small plates — we chose the Hakka Style Crab Cakes and the Bird is the Word (duck wings) which were pretty good. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was to die for! It was so good I even licked the bowl afterwards =X
We decided to order more food because we were still hungry after the Groupon deal so we got the French Quarter. O.M.G it was phenomenal! The amount of seafood they give you is well worth the money. The entrée was well seasoned and delicious. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water. You can’t go wrong with this dish if you like seafood.
I’ve been back a few times since and I’ve also tried their burgers. I really like the Drunken 10n burger and I don’t think I ever had anything like it before — there were cranberries inside the patty (along with other flavorful ingredients) topped with a peach glaze and candied bacon. Very unique — it’s a sweet burger patty served with a pretzel roll bun. I enjoyed it very much and liked it more than the Kobe burger.
Service is pretty good here most of the time. I’ve only experienced slow service once and the restaurant wasn’t full at all. However, the staff has been nice every time I’ve dined here. Ambiance is great for a date night. Bathrooms are clean which is always a plus. I’ll be back!
