Best pizza ever, been going there forever and is always consistent and excellent. Number 1 on my top 10 pizza list!

Been eating it for over 50 years. My aunt used to live around the corner. We still travel from the north shore to get it for everyone else up this way who loves it. We usually buy about 10 and freeze them. My brother moved to FL and we took them down to him there. I may be biased because of sentimental attachments, but honestly there’s just something special about the flavor. Best pizza I ever ate. And I’m including Italy. I love me some Lynwood.

South shore pub pizza is the best in the state. Lots of places copy them. Some even hire former employees in the hopes to replicate it. Try the original pub pizza and if you have the stomach for it try tge baked bean special. Heaven

Walked into here with a party of 7 while I was back in town to visit family over the holiday. Was super excited to try this place as I’ve heard great things from other friends in the area. While we were waiting for a table, my lady and I tried to grab a beer with our California licenses. The bartender told us that they only accept Mass licenses and asked if we wanted to talk to a manager so we said ok. The manager Pamela came out. She is the sole purpose for this review and why myself and six other very hungry and excited-for-Lynnwood-pizza people walked out and drove to Cape Cod Café. Her condescending attitude and incredibly rude demeanor blew me away. I was flabbergasted. I don’t care about the dumb rule, it was her immediate combativeness, sarcasm and terrible attitude that did it for me. The pizza smelled amazing though. Wish I could have stomached spending money and time there after my encounter with Pamela.

Best bar pizza on the south shore! You have to be willing to wait a while on weekends and sometimes 2 hours for take out on Fridays. The wait staff is from the 50’s and have been doing this job for decades. Wish they would enlarge a bit. But pizza is all they make and that is good for us!

I do not get the high ratings. Pizza was average at best. Went in with a friend for lunch. Nice staff but no reason to go back or get it to go. Much tastier options around.

In my opinion, The Lynwood Café has the very best Bar pizza anywhere !! Nobody is even close ! The crust is like a buttered cracker, the cheese is rich Wisconsin cheddar and creamy, the sauce is light With the slightest hint of spice. Just a perfect tasting pizza. Extra cheese, double mushroom, pepperoni, Hamburg/mushroom combo are my favorites. It would be hard to be disappointed with this pizza and once most people try it, they always seem to go back. I have been eating this pizza since the late 60’s and it is exactly the same now as it was then. Check my pic’s of it… It even looks incredible !

That an awful way to run a business! Rude staff answering the phone and just a terrible vibe!

The pizza is very good, but they don’t have a very large selection of toppings. I’ve never seen a pizza place not have bacon as a topping, that was, until I came here. They only have about 10 different toppings you can choose from and the service was slow. The place is crowded and I’m sure they fill the place over maximum capacity. They have a great pizza but I feel like they need to expand their menu. The other downside is that they do not accept cash.

Lynwood is hands down, the BEST bar pizza in the world. Make sure you order your pizza«Crispy and laced» to get the full Lynwood experience! The Bean Special, in my opinion, is the most incredible pizza on the menu. If you like salami, onion and baked beans, order it. I assure you it’s a life changer. Cash only is a drag but it’s worth the extra trip to the ATM on the way to pick up. If you are debating between Lynwood, Emmas or Town Spa… Make the trip to Lynwood, no matter where you’re coming from. Emmas and Town Spa don’t hold a flame to Lynwood, unless of course you enjoy flavorless, greasy pizza. LOL Enjoy!

I agree with many of the reviews that are posted here about this remarkable place. Being a South Shore native for many years, I have heard the rumors and the bold rattles about«bar pizza» and how good the Lynwood Café was compared to my City of Champions pizza, Cape Cod Café in Brockton. It was like Hagler vs. Leonard, Red Sox vs. Yankees. The time had come to see if this pie was as good as everyone I talked to made it out to be. Considering myself a bold pizza connoisseur, I finally got to try the pizza at the Lynwood Café for the first time in 2001, and I must say that it was a first round knockout. This pizza was every bit as good as advertised. With the first bite of the pizza, I suddenly forgot all of the those other places that I had been to across the state, and the stalwarts that I have grown up with for years. It was a dodge-ball to the mouth. Everything about my experience over the years with the Lynwood Café has been a fantastic one. Despite the fact that this is a cash-only business, I don’t care. I believe that most of the best places out there for food usually are. I knew I was in the right place the first time that I went there with a good friend of mine, when I saw the line of people waiting to get in and get a pizza. As others mentioned, sure the place is sort of divey, and will win no awards for interior design, but the food(especially the pizza) makes everything right. Lynwood Café is usually packed the most on Fridays, which is when I last went there, so expect to wait for a bit, but it will be worth it. I really enjoyed my experiences here in the times that I have been there and if you want to know how a pizza is supposed to be done, this is as good a place to start in the South Shore as any. Lynwood Café was an exceptionally well done product that stuck out in my memory, and will stuck out in yours too. Definitely a staple of the South Shore. If you have never had a «bar pizza» before, this is the top of the pile. Go for it!

I am giving this place a 2 star because the Pizza was good. it wasn’t excellent as most people raved it to be. However it’s very expensive for such a small piece of pie. We ordered an extra cheese which didn’t seem like extra cheese at all. the crust was crispy but not like thin crust like i liked and it was kind of like cookie-ish. it was made in a dish, like those at dominoes but not deep-dish. i guess i just prefer the old fashion style of free –hand like NY pizza… the other pie we ordered was sausage. it has good flavor but the«Extra cheese» was definitely better. $ 20 for 2 very small pizza was definitely not worth it. The service was also very slow. the restaurant was about 1⁄3 filled and it took over 30 minutes to cook 2 small pies. When i asked the waitress she said it takes 25 minutes to cook a pie… ummm… i’ve been to many a pizza places, ordering between a small and large and made from scratch and it doesn’t take that long…

I am a South Shore native. I’ve had bar pizza many times from places far and wide. I’ve been to Town Spa in Stoughton. I’ve been to Cape Cod Café in Brockton. I’ve been to Poopsie’s in Pembroke. I’ve been to Café Venus in Whitman. I’ve been to them all. Lynwood is the one that sets the bar for bar pies(no pun intended). Nice and crispy the way I like it. Buttery crust. Generous with the toppings. Cheese and sauce in the right proportions. It’s kind of a in a weird location? I don’t care. Cash only? I don’t care? abrupt service? I don’t care. Takes awhile for the pizza to be served? I don’t care. Place looks like they haven’t put one dollar into the interior in forty years? I don’t care. When the pizza is as good as it here, I can and will put up with quite a lot. If you’ve never been, go and put everything else aside but the pizza itself and you will be glad you did.

When I moved to Randolph a few months ago, I immediately went to evaluating area pizza joints. I was unfamiliar with«Pub-Style» pizza. Basically, it is a personal sized pizza, thin sliced. There is nothing complicated about Lynwood. They don’t accept cards. They don’t deliver. There are no frills. Its sort of a run-down, divey style feel right near the train tracks in Randolph. But it embraces that style, the pizza is damned good, and the folks there are generally very accommodating and friendly. You should definitely give it a shot, and if you can get past the built-in quirks, you could enjoy a gem of a neighborhood spot.

I grew up in the Randolph area, so lynwoods was a staple for me. I then went to college, got married, and moved a few thousand miles away! Every time I am back in Massachusetts I make sure we have time to stop in for a slice! I have since gotten my husband hooked too! Stopped in last night and was not disappointed! This place have changed a bit! Sure the prices may be a little higher than. Oh say, 10 years ago, but still worth the cost! Dine in or take out it doesn’t matter, but be careful with the take out, you probably won’t make it home without eating a few slices!

great pizza been going there for years, and yet even though im now 30 since i had epilepsy for 13 years and dont have a MA license they will not serve me. This is both idiotic and discriminatory since the reason is a medical one. I have known the owner for a while also but some woman told me straight up, too bad we can be as strict as we want. i hope they figure this out that most people arent going to go there with a fake id. its a local place that local people like, not some dance club that 18 year olds will sneak into. Also to have a FAKE passport would be alot harder than a fake license.

Pizza is great but the service is terrible, I can literally feel the racism and the discrimination in the room. As I walked in the door I was stared down. I observed the room and noticed not ONE minority in the CAFE. I went to pick up my pizza and instead of getting a hello, I got a what? then I had to wait 45 minutes for my pizza. although the pizza was great i was a little hesitant on eating it. I shared my experienced with my girlfriends and they said they have experienced the same prejudice. No complaints about the food but deff the service. Im sure most people tried to post reviews but are not allowed to be published.

Looks sketchy outside but it’s unbelievable. The pizza is so incredible nothing else(such as the interior, exterior, service or even matching utensils) matters. Best vegetarian pizza I’ve ever had. Toppings were plentiful and fresh and the pizza is cooked to perfection. Thin crust, but enough dough to hold the toppings.

The pizza was very good and under $ 10. Place was a winner for me, this is a bar that serves food looked decent enough to eat in but I got take out in this case. I called about an hour before they closed and my pizza was ready in 20 minutes or so. The pizza itself is about a «medium size» they have several options to choose from but I got basic pepperoni. The crust was very good on the thinner side, sauce was nice and hearty, the cheese blend was right on, and the overall pie when put together in a delicious slice was excellent. Could have had more since it was so good. I would love to get more pizza again here if I’m in this area.

The pizza was good, the atmosphere was nice and it was good value! The food was however quite oily and took a while(although this may just be a function of how popular it is!).
