Taos Country Club

The Dining is what gets 5+ Stars! The view and ambience at Sunset is unparalleled. The staff is amazingly friendly and fun and the food is all Gourmet (unusual for a Country Club restaurant), and freshly prepared with unique flavors, sides and sauces. And the prices are very Reasonable!
I’ll be back with friends!

This golf course is AMAZING. However the cashier/​pro shop guys are terrible. I agree with a previous reviewer Kevin D. Wolf is rude and not friendly. We asked him a few questions and he answered back with questions. Odd. The cashier before him was even more rude, so I am not sure if it is competition. The practice facility is amazing, perfect shape. Whoever the superintendent is of the course is doing a great job. The course is in great shape as well with stunning views. This is our favorite place to play golf when we come here on vacation every year. We were really put off by today’s behavior in the pro shop though.

The golf course is amazing besides the concrete like sand traps. But hope your cashier isn’t wolf he’s literally the worst person.

This golf course is a gem of New Mexico. The course is challenging and well maintained with spectacular panoramic views of the Sange de Cristo Mountains and the Rio Grande Gorge. The clubhouse is modern and welcoming. The restaurant serves good food and drinks and the refreshment cart makes the rounds of the course. There is a great driving range and practice putting green. If you are looking to improve your game, the club professionals offer wonderful instruction. I recommend this facility to anyone who loves the game of golf.

This is a beautiful well-​maintained course. They purchased new golf carts this year, so one of the previous reviews about the carts should be ignored. The course came through our severe winter in fine shape and is in prime playing condition as of this review (mid-​May). A bonus is the very good food served at the restaurant «The Terrace». Breakfast served until 3PM if you want it. Nice lunches, full bar, and they have added an early evening menu for those finishing golf later in the day.

I’ve gotten a lot more for 90 bucks a round.
The carts were probably from the 1980’s. Rusted, gas-​powered, sluggish… I literally felt like I was going to fall out of the seat for the whole ride.
The only hole markers at the tee boxes are plastic numbers on the ball washing stations. It took me 5 minutes to figure that out so we knew where to tee off from.
Yardage markers? Most of the numbers on the cards were off. There was no 150 markers in any of the fairways. The water line covers had yardage on them written in sharpie marker. Some were legible, some were not.
No rangers. No starter. No refreshment cart girl/​guy. The hot dog I got at the turn made me feel sick for almost the whole back nine.
Beautiful views and my hats off to the groundskeepers. They kept the grounds in really good shape.
There are much better golf courses in the area for less money.
Country Club? Really?
