Dr. McCulloch… I will try to write this post as objectively as possible, but it should be stated that this is hard to do, given that Dr. McCulloch is dealing with the well-being of children. My younger brother has been diagnosed Asperger’s Syndrome. After undergoing verbal and mental abuse by numerous school officials, my brother has been out of school for quite some time. My parents are so eager to get him back into school because they fear for his education, but they are also wary to send him anywhere as they want to protect him. My brother is hesitant to begin school again because each time he does, he is bullied and picked on for his differences. No child should ever feel ostracized, especially not in a place of education where the professionals are trained to teach children, and make sure that they do not feel this way. However, my brother did. So the hunt was on for a school that was not only accepting of my brother’s differences, but one that catered to them as well. In order to find a match, we needed an updated assessment. Dr. McCulloch came recommended by a school authority figure. When we first met McCulloch, we were excited. We thought surely this woman, who is in the field of helping children, would want to do just that — help my little brother. We were wrong. As I stated, my brother has been out of school for a considerable amount of time. We want him back in school so that he can have the opportunities every child should be allowed. McCulloch, took her time to do this assessment, meeting with my brother once a month. We found the perfect school and just needed McCulloch to assess my brother and provide results so that he could get back to learning. For somebody who wants to help a child, why would you take months to get my brother back into school? Additionally, McCulloch repeatedly tried to get my parents to sue the school district even though the school district was on our side(for once). They wanted to see my brother go back to school and flourish, because that’s what compassionate people want for children. Ah, but then it became clear why. McCulloch is money hungry. To start, each of her sessions are a ridiculous amount which explains why she requires so many. Additionally, we now know that for her to be subpoenaed to court, would have resulted in tremendous profit for McCulloch. Finally, my parents decided to apply for the school without the help of McCulloch. Upon being«fired», McCulloch appeared to show grace. She sent over the part of the«assessment» she had completed and we thought we had rid of her. We were wrong, again. McCulloch personally saw to it that my brother did not get accepted into this school. This information is known as she had been in direct contact with the school prior to being let go of her services to us. Now my brother is without a school, or plan. We were really hoping for this school and my brother was finally interested in going back. How can you put money before the well-being of a child? How can you take this away from a child? I am honestly disgusted by the lack of compassion and empathy shown by this«professional». If you are seeking help from McCulloch, DON’T. She will gladly accept your cash, but does not care about your child or their well-being. Find another professional who is in it to actually help.
