Great little place I go where I can get the best supplies for my cocker spaniel. The staff was really helpful for us every single time we’ve visited. I just love how the staff care about our puppy as much as we do!
Highly recommended for any pet lover in the area. It has a great high end and general selection.

Very nice and helpful people that work here and their Corgi is adorbs! Will come here again. I was able to buy what I needed and at good prices. I totally recommend this pet store :)

Kim is the absolute best! When our senior pug was sick, she was pointing us in all the right directions to get him feeling good again. She’s the Queen of everything Guinea Pig related! Gave us all the knowledge we needed to take care of our mini zoo in our home. Their prices are very reasonable as well! They are priced below major chains as well as other local mom and pop businesses. Great prices, perfect customer service, knowledgeable staff. What more do you want?

They have a great variety of collars, toys, food etc. A cool, family owned pet smart. We brought our German Shepard there and the owner was a very nice guy :) he advised us on getting our dog a good quality brand of food and gave us a free, single serving package to try it out. Which I thought was cool.
They also have a cute little corgi who runs the place

First of all Kim is the best. Has great knowledge on all the products in the store and is just the nicest person to deal with. She’s the main reason we keep going back plus Gadget’s pretty cool too.

This is the ONLY place that I get my pet food. My dogs have very sensitive stomachs my vet suggested using the Acana duck and pear dog food. I have purchased the food from other stores in the area but they charge a lot more and never seem to have it in stock. I found Pet Joy from a recommendation from one of my customers at my work. I have been absolutely impressed with the service that I have received from Kim she is very helpful. They also offer a rewards program after buying so many bags of dog food you get one free. They also ALWAYS have my food in stock. I really appreciate the service that I receive since I was concerned about the availability of my food I had asked Kim told me to give her a call a couple days before I came in and she would make sure that she had a bog available if not she would order it for me (at no extra charge) and it has only taken a day or two to come in. A+++++++ service

They were very helpful with assisting me with specialized food for my pup. I was pleased with how professional the staff was and accommodating. They even priced matched food that I needed for my pup, great experience.

Wow! Great selection of foods for dogs and cats. The young lady was very knowledgeable about the foods and products. My dog has several allergies and she helped me pick the right food. My dog is doing much better! The price or their foods is very reasonable. They offered to price match for me, but their food was cheaper than where I have been buying in for the last year. Thank you Pet Joy! I will be back!

Friendly knowledgable staff. I like to support local business when I can. The prices are very reasonable. I was able to get advice on the food we feed our girl, she’s a picky dog. Didn’t feel like they were trying to up sale me to the highest priced items, just what they felt she would like most. I appreciate that. We always bring Pudge w/​us to shop, they always offer her a treat. She loves to visit Gadget the stores mascot. :)

Kim is the best! It’s my first time having a puppy and she has been such a help with all my questions and has taken care of my puppies shots for such a good price!

My fiancé & I have been going to Pet Joy for about 3 years now. We have 3 dogs and a bird… we were looking for the best food we could find at a reasonable price. From the 1^st day we went in we got great customer service and all my kids love going in to see Kim, she always greets us n talks with us about our concerns with our dogs n helps us with what we’re looking for.
The owner may not be too talkative but he is great as well. He knows me by now and always throws in 3 extra treats for my dogs. Good people and great service at the same time I refuse to go any where else.

Pet Joy was recommended to me by my son. All the wonderful things he said about the store, I found to be true. However, he is an intelligent young man.
I have 3 doggies whom i love very much and that’s why I only buy at Pet Joy. One was a finicky eater until I introduced him to «Taste of the Wild» dog food. Now, he eats without any problems.
I have purchase many different items, food, collars, leashes, etc.
I consulted with the store attendant about my doggie, Bella, who bites and knaws at anything. She recommended «antlers» which my son did also. Bella is happy with the antlers!
Lastly, I Love the store greeter, Gadget. She is so cute! Where else can I go and receive such a warm welcomed?

Meeting a dog who is on his back asking for her belly rub at the door entrance is a good way to win new business.
This place has a great choice of natural food my my pet.

@ DellaS the 5 star reviews is people being supportive of a family owned business and the fact that these people care about the welfare of your dog/​cat. AND not to mention in a time like this these people are trying to make it easier for people around the area to be able to purchase quality dog food without having to travel a great distance for a place that carries the type of dog food.
There is no need to sneer at others for not having what «YOU» expected. You seem like the type that goes to chain stores anyways if you expect the shelves to be what you consider organized. Then please take your snooty attitude and go somewhere else. And no I’m not anyone that is related to anyone at this store I just don’t like sneering attitude like yours that expects every place to be perfect. So take your crappy ass review and shove it. ON A LIGHTER NOTE!
I am all for small business and so for these people to be doing this for the people that have a certain type of food in mind. They do price match too. Or if you don’t see a certain type of food at their store they can special order it for you too. And not only that I met Gadget today, she’s the corgi. I brought my corgi there today and they became fast friends! Gadget was outside monitoring the customers coming and going and she was just so sweet and adorable I’m glad I stopped by today. I bought freeze dried food here last time but I will come back for food when my girl is running low. But I do appreciate and support these small businesses helping us pet lovers to make trips easier on finding quality food thank you!

After seeing the rave reviews I thought this place would have the correct harness size for my small dog. Unfortunately they did not, and the shelves were a mess. Not sure where all the 5 star ratings came from.

I’ve been going to this store since they opened. I’ve gone a few other places for comparison’s sake, but come back for a few different reasons.
1. I appreciate what it takes for a local, family owned business to compete and I want to support that.
2. Customer service. They often make suggestions, ask about the welfare of my dog and two cats, send me home with samples, and are always appreciative of my business.
3. Good hours. If I get home from work and am reminded that the cupboard is bare, I can run over before the mutiny at home begins.
4. Gidget!!! The store ambassador is so sweet I want to take her home.

I like supporting local stores more than large chain stores. I came here with my husband to pick up some dog treats for my 3 girls. The store itself is a decent size and after walking around, I realized they didn’t have a lot of selection. (I guess it’s because I also go to the Anaheim Feed and Pet Supply and that place is massive)
Although selection is small, they do carry good name brands! (You can find Pedigree, Beneful, Purina at any supermarket, Wal-​Mart or Target.) Pet Joy carries brands like Blue Buffalo and Taste of the Wild.

Rule of thumb, is to always look at the ingredients and read the first 4 or 5 things listed.
Why would you feed your dog ground yellow corn, corn gluten meal, whole wheat flour, animal fat preserved with mixed-​tocopherols, rice flour, soy flour, propylene glycol, sugar??? You want to see things like turkey/​chicken/​beef, lamb, whole ground brown rice, oatmeal, peas, flax-​seed.
Anyway, looking at their prices, they are very comparable to PetSmart. The lady who works here is very personable and friendly. So yes, I will be back. ;)

Newly opened, this place is at the northeast corner of Archibald and Foothill. It’s not quite as big as Petco or Petsmart, but they do carry a large number of items, and most importantly to me, a nice selection of dog and cat foods. Best of all, they price match.
The staff is very welcoming and willing to order items if they are out of stock. And when they say that they will call you when the item arrives, they actually do call you. Great service.

This pet food & supply store is quite big. I brought my Clipper Magazine coupon booklet in and the owner (I assume) saw that I had it & went to the page where the store’s ad & coupons were and made me a free dog ID tag since I bought a certain amount.
There’s some things that definitely need improvement and that’s the owners’ interactions with the customers. A litle bit of advice: A smile, a greeting or some acknowledgement of my presence, an offering of assistance, & a thank you for shopping & have a nice day would go a LONG way! Friendliness is extremely important when you have to depend on the public regarding whether you make good money or not. The place could be a little tidier too.
I’m sure I’ll return from time to time. They have the refrigerated food my dog likes.
