History

Established in 2009.

Kiddysland Daycare is a home daycare that opened its doors in June of 2009. Our mission at Kiddysland is for child to be able to learn and develop in a loving, happy, family orientated, creative, small, yet secure environment ideal for working parents. At kiddysland, your child will learn all the basics, from ABC’s to colors, to shapes, to writing, to reading, while also having the experience to bond and gain social skills with other children.

Business Owner

My name is Funmi Akinbohun, the sole owner of kiddysland Daycare and Learning Center. I am married with two kids, and in their younger years, i was active in making sure our children received the best education possible. I frequently volunteered in their classrooms and got hands on experience of what it takes to teach children and bring them to the next level. In those years, i was inspired and realized my passion for children education and wanting to give back. To make my passion a reality, i began Child Development classes and went on to start my career as a teachers aide with the Fontana School District. Once classes were complete, i moved on to become a teacher at Abundant Living Family Church daycare called Dove Childcare, where i worked with 2 year old. Lastly, i worked with Kindercare Learning Center for five years where i worked with infants and ²⁄₃ year old until March 2009.
