4 Color Fantasies

4 Color is easily one of the top 5 comic shops around. Super clean, bright, with a great kids area… I LOVE going to 4 Color as often as I can and so do my children. Great shop, great prices, and a great selection.

Awesome comic book store! They have tons of comics and a lot of collectibles! Cheap comics and rares as well! They have a huge life size hulk and silver surfer there. It gives it a comic store feel. They also have yu gi oh tournaments and sell cards. If your looking for a comic book store with tons of things to buy this is the one!

I’ve been getting my comics here the past few years, and I have to say that the store associates are great.
Never had a bad experience here, and they surpass a lot of my expectations and they always seem to have new events to be excited about.

I have been reading comics off and on since I was a very little kid in the 1970s. I recently jumped back in after a 10+ year break. I am so glad I chose 4 Color Fantasies for my weekly pull list. Great selection, 10% discount if you are a Geek Club member (20% off merch), and THE best staff I’ve ever encountered. It’s nice to walk in and they know your name and welcome you! All that, and a special screening of the new Star Wars movie? What more could you ask for!

Funny, always thought I’d be starting a Unilocal account, like so many others, with the intention to one star a bad place. Guess I’m wrong.
Per recommendation from a friend I went last week and holy mother of all that is nerdy, this place is incredible! It’s really spacious, TONS of books, TONS of collectibles, TONS of games and my personal favorite… they have a huge hulk up front! It was also pretty busy which made me happy to see. They also have board games running in the back.
I’ve always been a little intimated of going into comic book shops because I didn’t really know anything. My friend who recommended the place told me «Don’t even worry. Ask for my comic book man Gilbert, he has Star Wars tats». Luckily for me he was at the counter and greeted me right away. He came up to me as soon as he was free. He asked me what I was into and showed me some books as well as some of his personal favorites. Very friendly and genuine employee which is hard to get at any store nowadays.
While I was in line with my soon to be treasures I noticed him calling everyone by name and talking to them about their week. I was very impressed that he remembered so much about everyone and took the time to joke around with customers walking through the door like they were his friends despite being there by himself. He obviously loves the job and who wouldn’t? The line moved real fast despite customers having tall stacks of books. Everyone just seemed so happy.
I told him he was a good salesman and he told me «I don’t like to look at it as selling, but giving you guys something I personally love so we can talk about it next time. That’s my favorite part.» FREAKING AMAZING! I really can’t wait to go back and talk about Black Science, thanks for the recommendation! I also can’t wait to meet the rest of the staff too! If you haven’t stopped by this shop, then you’re missing out!

I’m here for the comics … and they have a great selection. They have something called the the Geek Club that offers free bags and boards for your comics, discounts on comics/​collectibles and other benefits for a nominal annual fee. They also have scheduled board games and card games in-​store. Another cool thing the shop does, is offer private screenings of movies at the local Edwards theater in Ontario. Overall awesome for you inner geek.

Awesome place. If you’re looking for the popular stuff, better get a pull list because they sell out fast. Not the stores fault as they actually order a lot of each comic to try to meet demands.

This is my favorite comic shop for new comics! Where do I start?! The space itself is nice and big, colorfully decorated and CLEAN. They have a huge assortment of titles and toys any comic lover would appreciate. There’s an area sectioned off for gamers interested in playing Magic and the like. There’s also a children’s area that has toys and titles geared to little ones. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they work really hard at developing a relationship with the customers and they make great recommendations.

This is my regular comic shop. Everyone here is super helpful and accommodating. Nice ambiance with the tv and their displays. I haven’t had a regular comic shop in years because every time I went to one, the people acted like total dick bags but no bags of dicks here.

This is the newer location on Archibald & Foothill which is maybe 3Xs the size of the older location just up the street near Baseline. Typically really nice people working there. They mostly carry new stuff so don’t go looking to fill in your old collections BUT when they moved locations a year ago they liquidated huge amounts of back stock. I picked up stacks and stacks for pennies on the dollar. Not sure when but supposedly they might make it a annual or semi annual event. They do game nights and it’s well attended so if you’re into Magic or D&D check it out. It’s basically a smaller local version of Emerald Knights in Burbank.

One of my top 5 favorite comic shops in So Cal. I have nothing bad to say about this place. But if you are looking for older comics such as golden age or silver age then this really isn’t the place. They only have very few older ones on the wall that are the pricey gems for the hardcore collectors. Other than that it’s a great place. They have any new release book you’re looking for but it’s recommended to go the day the comic is released or the day after because they sell out on a lot of books quick. They have an awesome collection of figures and statues for purchase there. Of course they sell t shirts and other cool items. On top of all that the staff is super awesome and always help customers with any questions. Best comic shop in San Berdo County.
Also the best time to go is on Monday nights because they always show WWE Monday Night Raw on the big screen

This is one of the few places I can say are not hard to miss. Just pull in the parking lot and look for the window of nerd. honestly it was awesome, I actually met the artist that designed the window at a local convention which means they support local artists which just raises my opinion. The inside is very large and there is a huge selection. will have to make a comic run soon.

And my number one concern is always customer service. I can say that I was so pleased that I spent extra money just because they were so friendly. I am usually treated so poorly in comic book stores. Either because I’m a girl or because I’m black, LOL. But anyway, they were SOOOO nice. Will return for sure!

My favorite comic book in the Inland Empire. The staff is awesome, I use their pull list service and it works great. They have a massive location, filled with new comics, back issues, trade paperbacks, hardcovers, posters, clothing, action figures, cards, you name it. I can’t recommend 4 Color enough, they are THE comic shop to go to.

This place is amazing! The amount of merchandise in this store blows my mind! You must check it out for yourself. I don’t know of any other store that has soooo many comics, so many figures, etc!

Been going to this store since its beginning. Great people, lots of comics and graphic novel selections, statues, figurines, and other forms of memorabilia. Area available to play board and card games.
Every year on the first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day. A great day to be had there.

This stellar comic book shop is housed in a spacious building with lots of goodies, from the kids section up front, to the various statues, art, and toys throughout the store. Whether you’re into superheroes, zombies, hobbits, sci-​fi, or any of the other genres of geekdom, 4 Color Fantasies will most likely offer it and if not, you can special order it from them. Prices are standard retail, but they do have occasional sales and a discounted section in the back of the store.
So why buy at 4CF when you can get things cheaper online? Well, when you buy items here, you’re supporting a business that cares about its community: 4CF hosts special advanced screenings of the latest movies (with goodie bags for those who attend), game nights where local gamers can have a space to play Magic and other board/​card/​wargames, and one of the largest Free Comic Book Day events (first Saturday of May), with lots of cosplayers and special guests.
My favorite part of 4CF is the customer service. I have not (thankfully) encountered any of the hipper-​than-​thou attitude that was sometimes given at comic book stores back in the day. Here, it’s friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.

I just attended this shop’s Free comic book day and it was the best I have seen so far! They had plenty of great local creators to meet and buy from and they gave generously of the free comic books and the selection was amazing! Best of all, the shop is beautiful and they offer a great variety to include games, collectibles, apparel and, of course, tons of comics! The best part was the staff who were both accommodating and so nice, despite the tons of people that showed up and I came at the very end of the day, so I imagine these guys were whooped since there was still a line out the door even after closing. Thanks to all who helped put this on and your comic shop is amazing! I will definitely be back even though I am from the Palm Springs area, that is just how impressed I am with you. A+++

I have been a comicbook enthusiast since the late 80s, back when comics were still sold on spinning racks in grocery stores and gas stations. I’ve patronized my fair share of comic shops across the Inland Empire and LA county; the vendors at Frank and Sons, Comics Plus, The Comic Bookie (closed), Comic Quest (now called a Shop Called Quest), Things From Another World, Comic Madness, The Comic Room (closed a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away).
Without a doubt, 4 Color Fantasies is the standout shop of the bunch. If we’re talking Rings of Power, 4CF is Sauron with the One Ring, and every other shop and vendor is a human king turned ghoulish ring wraith. I don’t mean to impugn other shops, but only wish to highlight how much 4CF rocks your face.
First of all, this place is HIGHLY organized, as in a person with O.C.D. on uppers organized! New issues are clearly marked, back issues are organized in cubbies (remember those from grade school???) and every book is in alphabetical order. Graphic novels are kept on the other side of the shop, also organized alphabetically. So why does this matter? Because I can find what I am looking for without having to solve some cryptic method of shelf stocking that is meant to confound us ordinary mortals!
Second thing: call this shop the TARDIS, because it is bigger on the inside! Chris (the owner) bought a new location and it’s size is comparable to, shall we say, a «colossus» (no? too lame? Well who asked you? Oh wait, I just did… never mind, I’ll take a seat). So many shops are so cramped, you’d swear you’re in a sweat shop factory that produces knock-​off Versace (Versace, Versace Versace) for swap meets. 4CF is nice and swank, for the modern, urban, upscale nerd (pinky in the air while sipping your tea). In other words, you’ll feel comfortable while browsing the shop.
Thirdly: So many collectibles! There aren’t enough shelves and desks in my home to display all of the cool stuff I could buy from this place. Shirts, hoodies, statues, figures, posters, mugs, games, masks, guitars!!! Yes, they sell guitars with comicbook designs painted on them! They even have superhero ice trays! Who thinks this stuff up??? A genius, that’s who! But not a genius like Reed Richard’s. Reed Richard’s is a wife neglecting, self-​righteous, child-​ignoring, hipster jerk. Nobody likes a hipster or a jerk (is there a difference???) My point? Some smart person that isn’t like Reed Richards, thought up the brilliance of making every day goods based on superhero stuff, and this shop has the run of it.
Fourth: 4CF throws the BEST Free Comicbook Day shindig! All the cool kids show up for this event. They have cosplayers, free comics, celebrity guests (they once had the artists from Phineas and Ferb!!!), contests, live nerd music (they once had a guy who played covers of NES video game music). Coolness!
Fifth: FEMALE FRIENDLY! The shop has female employees, and the store décor doesn’t consist of female characters in suggestive poses. I have no jokes here. So many comic shops are so anti-​female with their décor choices, that they should post trigger warnings in the window. Thankfully, this shop is an inviting space for all.
Sixth: The store is clean, brightly lit, in excellent physical condition and adorned in bright colors. I swear, some comic shops are in such disrepair that you feel as though an ATF raid is impending because the shop secretly doubles as a meth lab. Comicbooks are addicting, but shoppers shouldn’t feel as though they’ve walked into an opium den when they go buy a comicbook. I appreciate that 4CF has an inviting atmosphere.
Conclusion: This place is amazetacular!

My fiancé has been going to this store once a week for months. I go in with him often, and buy some things too. He spends $ 15-​$ 30 a week on comics, and is very respectful of all the inventory.
Today when he was flipping through some of the books, the cashier rudely told him: «Hey, you’re not allowed to read the books.» He looked at her confused because he always flips through them, and never walks out without buying things. She rudely repeated herself and said: «You can’t read them. It’s policy. If you go into Barnes and Noble you aren’t allowed to read their books.»
I just got off the phone with a nice bookseller at Barnes and Noble. I asked him if there is an actual policy about customers not reading the books at Barnes and Noble. His response was, «I’ve worked at 5 Barnes and Noble stores in the past 6 years, and I’ve never heard anything like that. We want the customers to read them so that they will buy them.»
It’s not like he was sitting in a corner reading all the books. He was standing, and shopping. They weren’t in any packaging. This is the most ridiculous thing ever, and we are really upset.
DEAR MANAGER. Teach your employees about customer service, and if that «rule» is important to you, post a big sign in the window so that your rude employees don’t have to accost the customers.
He was seriously going to pay for «Geek Membership» today too.
