My parents were looking for help with their wall mounted heater, so they turned to the phone book and had me call 1 – 800. I called around 8:00am Saturday morning to the Ontario number in the phone book since my parents live in Ontario. There was no answer and went to voicemail (Joel). I left my contact info and hoped to get a call back soon. I went the whole day without receiving a call so I decided to call once more the following day. Again, no answer and went to voicemail, again. Decided not to leave a message and opted to call another company who had someone come out that same day. A call back would have been nice but it was never received. Lost a potential client due to lack of customer service. I would not recommend this company because it seemed they were not interested in our business.

Great service! What a great guy. Joel was just super capable and extremely professional. I had to fix my fluorescent ceiling lights in both the laundry room and in the garage urgently. I called many electricians on Unilocal but none of the answered their phone. I hated having to leave messages and have to wait for them to call me back, especially half of the time they don’t even call me back. Anyhow, I searched and searched on Unilocal and was lucky enough to find 1−800-anytime. What a concept! «Anytime»! That is exactly what I needed. I called right away. A very pleasant lady answered the phone. Wow, they actually answer their phone. Her name is Judy. Super helpful, very very nice. Instead of having to wait for another 2 weeks like other electricians would tell me to, Judy was able to fit me into their schedule on that day. Joel came that late afternoon and spent 3 hours trouble-​shooting the lights. He even went to Home Depot and got the parts and both my ceiling lights were up and running that night. What a difference compared to the other electricians. With such great service, Joel’s price was reasonable and not any higher than others. I will definitely use them for all my needs from now on. I found out that they are even an one-​stop shop, repairs all kinds of things like plumbing, AC, heaters, lights, etc. Yeah, I am glad I found them. I already recommended them to one of my best neighbors. Definitely will use them. A business with honesty and best service will definitely flourish.

Great customer service! Had a breaker switch problem late Friday afternoon — Joel came out and troubleshooted the problem and fixed it after getting parts (old breakers). He identified a safety problem resulting from a prior modification and resolved it too. He was thorough, communicated well, and the charge was very reasonable — $ 300 for labor and parts. I highly recommend them and Joel.

Used these guys again today and I have to say I’m so grateful that there is still integrity in the service industry. They were fast, accurate, professional and had my heater up and running not to mention hundreds of dollars less than a quote I got from another company. Thanks again to Joel, Christian and Jon!

I have used 1−800-AnyTyme several times. The service that I get from Joel is absolutely outstanding !! I would refer Joel to anyone out there. He always thinks about the most economical way to repair the items. He is extremely responsive and extremely polite too. He really knows his stuff.

Reply — This is the first and only instance I have received any contact from this company. I have never been contacted, and only saw this reply today (January 29, 2014). If Joel can demonstrate how and when these alleged attempts to contact me took place, I’d be more than happy to hear them and prove him wrong.
2. «We strive to focus on high quality service and knowledge at a fair price…»
Reply — Perhaps your definition of «fair» is different from mine, but I do not believe $ 645 for labor (and apparently «costs of doing business») for this particular issue was «fair.» The job was to replace the capacitor (basically like a battery for the unit). I saw how to replace it from Youtube, and after I purchased the $ 30 part from a reputable company, I unscrewed some screws, unhooked the old one, and hooked up the new one. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. To me, $ 645 for labor for less than 10 minutes of work is hardly «fair.» If Joel would like to explain why he feels this is fair, I am happy to listen. If Joel is trying to imply that the «warranty» on his work, and having a «licensed, bonded and insured» employees or as the cost of «doing business in California» has a going rate of $ 645, to replace a battery, then I’d like to know his markup for bigger jobs.
3. «…many times we do run into customers who want a professional to do the work at the rate of a day laborer or handyman»
Reply — If what Joel wanted to do here was imply that I wanted the rate of a day laborer or handyman, he is mistaken. I wanted what was actually fair (a layperson’s definition, not Joel’s) for the amount of work involved. I paid the $ 75 to bring your man out and to try and charge me $ 675 to complete the job. I believe $ 75 was already more than enough for the work necessary for this job, but I didn’t fight paying it. I was even willing to pay more than the $ 75 fee to complete the job, but I refused to pay anything close to $ 600 for the amount of work required to complete it. You don’t have to take my word for it — check this video out:

Here is a step-​by-​step DIY to replace the capacitor. The video is 4 minutes and 17 seconds long, and he completes the job from start to finish, including taking off the cover and putting it back on, and a lot of talking in between. Furthermore, the repairman uses most of the video to give a detailed explanation of what he is doing and why he is doing it (more time than he spends actually replacing the part). I’ve never done this type of job, so it look me 10 minutes, but any «experienced licensed and bonded» person could probably do it in half the time. After watching the video, I ask you — is $ 675 for this job «fair»? You all can be the judge.
4. «This customer called us out to his home on a Sunday morning requesting emergency service. »
Reply — Yes I did call in the morning, but I didn’t request «emergency service» but I was asking if there were any appointments available for that day. I spent the morning searching for other companies with good reviews on Unilocal,but all of those companies were completely booked up that day. I was stuck with using 800-​Anytime because they were the only ones available. I won’t make that mistake twice. I should have went with the guy everyone raved about on Unilocal.
5. «It was at this time that we contacted our technician who lives in the area but was on his day off and asked him if he could help by going out to assist the customer who was without ac on a hot weekend day. «
Reply — Yes, I agree it was very hot that weekend. However, when the gentleman from 800-​Anytime came with his son, I could see in his eyes he was pretty tired. I proceeded with some small talk. I said to him «this must be your busy time of the year» and he stated «Yes, I have been working since 6am and i have more calls after yours.» From what he told me it didn’t sound like his day off, but I’m telling you what the technician told me.
6. «Our technician had his teenaged son with him and was willing to respond to the customers needs but he would have to bring his son with him. «
Reply — The technician also told me that he often takes his son on jobs with him to «show him the ropes» of the business. The son was not passively sitting in the vehicle while this was occurring, the technician was teaching him how to do the work. The technician was walking him through how to repair the unit. I thought it was admirable that the technician was passing on his knowledge to his son, but Joel’s implication that this was a rare occurrence simply does not appear to be true, nor is it how the technician explained it.

We recently found a leak in our kitchen. We found out it was a nail drilled into a pipe. I went on Unilocal to seek the help of fellow Unilocalers and got 3 quotes. This plumbing company was moderately priced but what I really liked was their expertise and attention to detail. That sold me. The guy who came over was very professional and basically welcomed me to get more quotes but said he stands behind his work and would guarantee satisfaction. This sold me. They showed up the next day and fixed the problem and walked me through what they did. They also provided some advice about prevention since we are first time home owners and gave some DIY suggestions which I appreciated. Would highly recommend.

Joel and his team have been the only ones to work on our heating and air since we moved into our house in 2008. They have been reliable, timely, competent, reasonably priced, attentive, and communicative on every job we’ve had them do for us. We will absolutely continue to use 1−800-Anytyme for all of our heating, air, and plumbing needs and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

After calling a number of AC company’s and them trying to get me booked for an appointment within 2 – 3 days, I finally found a company who treated my needs like their #1 priority. I explained to the office staff how demanding managing was and that I needed someone out to fix one of my renter’s AC’s FAST. They said they would try and do their best at seeing me that same day. Even though the demand was high due to the heat they were here to see my tenant within an hour!
My technician Chris was very hospitable an courteous when it came to a woman understanding what needed to be done. All my questions where answered and he was very patient. He was so trustful. Chris also offered service agreements. I took a chance and signed a service agreement to have 1800-​ANYTYME service all my AC units.
So far they have been out an additional 2 times (same tech) and it is always the same process and he is still very courteous. They make sure our tenants are available and are always looking to work around their schedule even if it is late in the evening. I strongly recommend this company to come out service your AC and Heating needs!

I recently had a few leaks in my new home I purchased. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional service than that of 1 – 800 AnyTyme. Joel came out to my house, identified the cause of the first leak being from the bathroom, replaced my bath faucet and then found that my sewer pipe in my kitchen was leaking as well which he fixed quickly and professionally. He completed both repairs in minimal time and for a reasonable price. All leaks were gone! Recently, I had a major leak that originated from my sink in my kitchen, I contacted AnyTyme and Joel again came out on short notice, found the source of my leak under the faucet and replaced valves as well as hoses under the sink again for a reasonable price. This company definitely has a fix it right the first time attitude as my leak issues have been resolved. I have been thinking about replacing all valves throughout the house and will certainly call on 1 – 800 AnyTime for this service! Kudos to 1 – 800 AnyTyme and a big thanks to Joel!

I used 1800anytyme when our sink was stopped up and garbage disposal regurgitated into the kitchen sink. The gentleman that came out was the owner Joel Mejia, he arrived within 30 minutes and went right to work. He was very professional, got the job done and since it was my first time gave me the «first time customer» deal. He also suggested I replace the faucet bc it was leaking, I had no idea. I will definitely call them back if I’m in need of plumbing service and will recommend to other people!

I have used 1800anytyme several times. The technicians are always very professional and clean. The work being done is always explained thoroughly.
Prices are reasonable and the work is always done on time. I am so happy with 1800anytyme. They have gained a customer for life and I would highly recommend 1800anytyme. They are awesome!

I recently had a problem with the plumbing in our bathroom. The water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold. 1800Anytyme came out and attempted the repair but failed to turn the water off in our building before dping so. Even though they posted signs everywhere stating the water would be shut off. I guess they forgot to do it. Hot water came bursting out of the shower pipes and in the wall and flooded 4 of the neighboring units. My 2 downstairs neighbors and the neighbors to the side of me all had extensive water damage. The anytyme plumber scrambled to turn the water off outside but for some reason it took him 10 minutes to do so. I guess he didn’t know where the shut off valves were. You would think the first rule of plumbing would be to turn the water off before repairing any of the pipes. The next day they came and drilled holes in the downstairs units to attempt to dry out the interior wall structures but instead of drilling holes on one side of the wall, they drilled holes on both sides of the adjoining wall. They even drilled a hole into the medicine cabinet. So now the bathroom and bedroom walls look like swiss cheese, holes every12 inches apart. There was at least 20 holes in my neighbor’s bathroom alone. They tried to blame me for it saying that the shower valve was weak and at any moment it would have bursted. I guess it was just a coincidence. Joel Mejia tried to charge me for all the man hours it took for them to dry out all the units including the rental of the dryers as well as the botched up plumbing job they did. I called my insurance company and they said I was not at fault since they failed to turn the water off in the first place. Now the insurance ompanies (my neighbors as well) are all going after anytyme plumbing. A week later the shower valve was leaking so I called Ram plumbing and they came out to fix it. It turns out 1800anytyme failed to completely solder all around the pipe. They only soldered the front half of the new pipe. Ram plumbing couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw what they did. Also, Ram plumbing knew how to properly turn off the water and then to wait to drain all the residual water from the pipes before repairing the plumbing. I won;t even go into detail the gaping hole they left on my fiberglass shower wall. This had to be the worst experience I ever had with a plumbing company. I wonder if they bother turning off the electricity before doing any electrical repair work. FYI if a plumbing company floods your house, its a conflict of interest if they also provide you with water damage restoration service. They can’t make a profit off of you twice. That’s what the insurance company said.

Since I purchased my home in 2009 my A/​C never worked right. Since then I have had multiple companies come out to try and fix the A/​C (3 to be exact) and none of them were able to fix the problem. Actually, after the last company came out, the A/​C was completely broke not coming on at all and during the hottest heatwave of the year yet. That company refused to return my calls or address the issue.
After a few weeks of searching around, I found 1−800-AnyTyme on the internet. After calling them, Joel (the owner) happened to be in my area that day. He wanted to stop by and check the system so he could identify what was wrong with it. After that, 2 days later Carlos came out and went to work on the A/​C. After he completed the job, he went through a list of items that he fixed.
As of today, the A/​C is working like a dream! I couldn’t be happier with the service. 1−800-AnyTyme is a team of professionals that know exactly what they are doing. Believe me, I had three companies prior that could not figure out the problem.
I would 100% recommend them to anybody!

Our fuse box to the air conditioner combusted and they sent Carlos out to my house. He said that not only was the fuse box in need of replacement but that the inside of the air conditioner was completely dirty and needed to be cleaned and that the compressor was probable on it’s way out and our unit could «die any day now and is really old.» I thought that was odd since we just had the unit maintenance two years before and they said the air conditioner was not that old and still in great condition.
Carlos claimed he and his co-​worker (son) spent time cleaning the inside of our air conditioner, charged it and reminded me SEVERAL times how OLD and in BAD Shape our unit was. How he HIGHLY recommended we replace the unit soon for 3,480.00.
He did replace the fuse box and did a nice job putting the new one on. But I knew something was just not right.
Sure enough the very next afternoon the air stopped blowing in the house again. This time we called a company my husband works with. They came over and discovered our unit had NO Freeon. The unit had been leaky Freeon and was completely empty. Also, when they opened the air conditioner it had indeed not been cleaned.
The new company said they are pretty convinced that Carlos either saw the leak and didn’t fix it or actually created the leak so we would call them back out and he could convince us to spend that 3,480.00 on a new unit.
So I’m adding 1−800− to my list of companies that try to take advantage of women buyers. This behavior should not be tolerated and everyone should be aware of companies who practice poor ethical standards.
