Living in San Francisco has been hard on my car.
It’s been bumped, run into, rear-​ended, scratched, scraped, etc. The most egregious of these was when my old roommates moving company side swiped my driver’s side and broke my mirror.
New mirrors for my Volvo are around $ 600.00. I was on eBay and saw Volvo & Saab Auto Dismantlers. They had my mirror for $ 150.00 + $ 15.00 shipping. I got it the next day.
Boom. Now I can get the Swedish man in my house to fix it!

I had a broken part and shopped around online for the replacement for my aging Volvo and saw that the prices for new were over $ 100. I called the auto dismantlers and they had the part in stock for only $ 50. I didn’t want to drive all the way to Rancho to pick it up so they said they could ship it to me for $ 15. Still cheaper than buying new (and paying for shipping on top of that elsewhere) The part came the day promised and other than some leaves stuck in it from being used on another car, it’s just what I needed. In fact, it came with with the bulbs which would not have been included had I bought new.
I hope I will not need any additional parts for my car, but if I do, I’ll call them first.

Maffi, Maffi, Maffi, You are a savior. Very knowledgeable, nice, great inventory, and fantastic prices. I order parts for a repair shop and it is a nice change when you don’t have to walk people through every step of the way. Shipping was fast and properly boxed.

Ken is a top notch parts guy and there is no place in CA with better selection, price, service or knowledge when it comes to Volvo, Saab, or even BMW and Mini parts.

Where do I start
Well I needed a new driver side headlight on my 2009 BMW e90, so I went to the good ol stealership and they where going to charge me an arm and a leg!
So I started my research and a good buddy of mine told me about Volvo/​Saab he told me they also carry bmw’s as well!
I called them up and I talk to a nice gentlemen named Massi. I asked how much for the head light and WOW what a difference in price then what the stealership was going to charge me! And the headlight was like new couldn’t even tell it was used!!!
Went in got greeted by Massi and I was impressed when he remembered me, shows a little about there customer service when they remember a customer, «when I talk to him 3 days prior». Anyways very helpfull very smooth service will be returning!!!

This is a follow-​up review on my old review dated 2÷7÷14 when I experienced expressed a bad review for customer support. For the past 6 months, I have been calling and buying alot of parts (qty 45+) and have been very satisfied with the quality, delivery time, and pricing. I also feel that a big part of this good review for Volvo & Saab Auto Dismantlers is that I always ask for «Randy» who is consistently honest about the condition of parts, fitment, and availability. I also feel good about saving some money on parts and the aspect of recycling reused parts that would otherwise be crushed into scrap metal.
Also, its reassuring that the Manager reads these Unilocal reviews and responds back with comments and takes comments (good and bad) as feedback to make the customer experience better)
Its a win-​win situation for everyone!

This is always my first call when I’m in need of anything Volvo or Saab related. I always talk to Massi and he is more than happy to help me find what I need and always does so in an extremely professional and helpful manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of great quality used Volvo and/​or Saab parts. And of course it goes without saying, ask for Massi.

I called to inquire about a part for my Volvo…
The gentleman that answered the phone was talking quickly and seemed very busy. Because he was rushing our conversation, I had a hard time understanding what he was saying. Being busy doesn’t permit being rude and short with your customers. Needless to say, they didn’t have the cable i needed and their customer service skills need some serious work. I called CVS-​Carmichael Volvo next… WAY more helpful.

The staff has politely commented, but the first page of the website remains the same. Again, today I checked the «NEW ARRIVALS» under 200s (240 would be included), and nothing has changed. Perhaps the «NEW ARRIVALS» are incorrectly linked to the archives, but it is nevertheless misleading.
The list below is still on the web page, but only one is in the yard. Finding one scavenged sedan is not the same.

They always have a good selection of parts, prices aren’t bad and the staff knows their stuff.

I used to be a technician for a Volvo dealer and I’ve used these guys for many years for both my work and personal cars. Just recently bought an engine for my S60. It was complete, with the harness ready to plug in. They’re good about unplugging things and not cutting wires and hoses. I usually deal with Kenny, always over the phone. He’s very knowledgeable about interchanging parts from different years. I think he’s either the owner or the manager. Their prices are a little on the high end, but its not a junkyard. I live in the bay area, and I always get the parts the next day.

Great place to go to pick up your non-​standard repair parts (suspension, HVAC, interior, etc) for any Saab or Volvo. They’ve saved me several hundred dollars compared to buying new parts from a dealer! (and buying Saab parts from Saab dealers won’t really be an option anymore…)
I’ve also called and ordered parts from them by phone, and had them shipped to me when I didn’t have time to drive out to Rancho Cordova. They’ve always been friendly and helpful, very easy to work with; and even better, the shipment arrived the next day!
Their shop is much cleaner and more orderly than just about any other junkyard that I’ve been to. Keep up the good work!
Five stars for helping me to save tons of cash when fixing my car!

On a whim, looking for a part. I went to Google. This place came up.
I checked out their site, they the make/​model of car and I phone them to find out if they have that part. Randy said yes. I ask some questions, etc.
I plan the trip up there for the part and for other things on my ‘list’. I get walked to the back and poke around asking for this and that. The cars I was interested in, were in various pieces and stuff piled inside. Some neatly inventoried, stuff they know will sell. Other stuff like little pieces, trims, etc, doesnt seem like they care.
I was skeptical as to the validity of the condition of the $$ part I purchased, as I was told it was for a different model year than what was marked on the part. Bought the part anyways and had it checked out and it was in good condition, so overall I saved about 50% from a new part.

OK– this place was recommended to me by my indy SAAB repair shop. My 9 – 5 need a small little bushing at the end of the gear selector cable. Its a cheap little .50 cent piece. But, unfortunately SAAB no longer sells just the little plastic piece. You have to buy the entire cable assembly for $ 202 and not in stock. Cheapest online is $ 160.
So, these guys have a nice stock of wrecked 9−5s to pull from. They said $ 65 shipped. I figured oh well — better $ 65 than 160+ to cannabilize a cable for a .50 cent bushing than a new $ 150 unit. Plus its more of a pain to replace the whole thing than pop in the bushing.
Soo…they sent out the cable. I received next day! But, they use a lame shipping company that requires signature. So, if your not home they take back to depot and try next day. So, I go to depot and they can locate box!
Finally after 30 min they find it. I open the box and its the wrong cable! its for a 900 or 9 – 3 or something.
So then I call them up and tell them. They apologize and say they will ship the CORRECT one. I send them a picture of the correct one so they can get it right.
Now, 3 days have passed as it was late Friday afternoon when I called and didnt ship until monday. I get the box on tuesday via same lame company. Excited to get my car repaired i open the box and AGAIN!!! WRONG PART!!! Not only is it the wrong part — its a friggin VOLVO CABLE!!! MY CAR IS A SAAB!!!
So, now I have 2 wrong cables and they promise to send me the correct one. Lets see?
Its nice to have a good SAAB dismantler available, but what a waste of time.

Okay these guys are a hit or miss. Many times I’ve called them and they wanted WAY too much for things that go for ¹⁄₁₀₀^th the price on eBay. However, one time they had a fantastic deal and I was even able to haggle with them.
For instance, our S60 needed a new door window which is laminated (double-​paned). I was able to find one for $ 120 there but it had a tiny little defect (factory defect) and since it was the only one they had, they gave it to me for $ 100. I was also able to get some random misc items for my 850 for cheap since I bought many at the same time.
They sometimes don’t know prices, so quote the lowest you can. The guy on the phone told me $ 40 but the guy at the desk told me $ 30, so I went for that price of course.
