With over twenty-​five years of experience in the home improvement industry we have the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to handle many different renovations for our customers. Our goal is to offer you dependable services and craftsmanship from window replacements to vinyl replacement. We provide premium products such as vinyl windows for customers throughout California and Hawaii through our Windows Hawaii division. Established in 1995.

Serving California and Hawaii for 17 years for home improvement needs, Northwest Exteriors provides everything from energy-​efficient window replacement and exterior siding to doors, patio covers, sunrooms, walk-​in bath environments, and premium quality residential solar electric system sales and installation.

Northwest Exteriors’ representatives are familiar with government programs and financing solutions, and they ensure homeowners have everything they need to maximize available incentives and affordably install their projects. The company is also a Master Distributer of Anlin Window Systems; installs Craneboard, CertainTeed and James Hardie siding products; and is an authorized dealer of SunPower solar panels. Business Owner

Born and raised in the Bay Area. Tom graduated from Branham H.S. and went to West Valley College where he decided to get into construction and «Earn while he learned». He started with Sears in 1985 and then in 1989, he met his wife at a wedding in Santa Cruz. At the time Tom was living in Sunnyvale and she was living in Sacramento, but they hit it off so well, she eventually moved to Sunnyvale. That same year, he got a job with a Sacramento based company that was just starting out in San Jose. Eventually Tom and his wife moved to Sacramento to work at the main office. On September 15th, 1990 the two were married and had their 1st born Monique in 1991. Tom and his new bride bought their first house in Sacramento that year and he was now officially a «family man». In 1996 Madison was born at which time the couple decided to head for the hills and moved to Camino. Monique graduated from Cal Poly in 2013 and Madison started at Montana State University Fall 2014.

After many hours, researching window companies and brands, my wife and I decided to use Northwest Exteriors, Inc., to replace the windows and slider in our old home. Scott, our sales representative, proved to be knowledgeable and mindful of our budget and expectations. He also provided information on financing options, including Ygreen and the Hero program. Today, we enjoy our new Anlin windows, and we couldn’t be happier. We love the Bay window in the kitchen and the ease of which our patio slider opens. I want to extend a thank you to salesman Scott and to the Northwest Exteriors Inc. Team. After shopping around and receiving several bids we decided to go with Northwest to replace the windows in our home. My only regret is that we did not do this sooner! The entire process from start to finish was an amazing experience!
Our sales rep took the time to answer any and all our questions we had. The office staff did an amazing job at keeping us informed at all of the key steps of our project. The installation crew was so nice and polite. Arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. Our windows look beautiful! I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much Northwest!

Northwest Exteriors installed a new sliding glass door with doggie door. After the sales rep took our information, the company was very good in updating us on when they would complete final measurements, production and installation.
The installers showed up on time, were fast, efficient, and completed the install in less time than originally estimated. They were good about clean-​up afterwards, too. We (and our dogs!) are very pleased with our new door.

We reached out to Northwest Exteriors after being referred to them by SMUD. The initial phone call was quick and painless. Unfortunately, that’s where the good stopped.
30 minutes after my appointment time it became obvious that the rep wasn’t going to show. I called the office and was told that they were having trouble reaching the rep and needed to cancel, citing email trouble (?).
If you can’t make time for an initial point of contact, don’t bother being in business. Northwest Exteriors just missed an opportunity to win about $ 10k in business. Next…

We were thinking of replacing our windows, and by coincidence a sales guy happened to drive by, saw our shabby old single pane windows and knocked on our door. We ended up replacing 4 sliders, and 6 other large windows (our house has a lot of windows!). They were punctual with appointments for measuring, cut out the stucco around the windows, and one day showed up with a truck full of new Milgard dual pane Style Line windows and doors, and a team of installers. The only hitch was that despite two sets of measurements, the manufacturer managed to get two of the large combination (picture on top small slider below) windows wrong (they made 5 of the same size, when two should have been larger. They left the existing larger windows in, and came back a week alter and put in the new ones. The windows are wonderful. Quiet, warm and very solid. Like bank vault doors. We had the stucco replaced separately. A few months later, I had an issue removing some of the masking tape front he re-​stuccoing job, and used Goof-​Off to remove the tape residue. Bad idea. The Goof-​Off cause the black plastic trim strip to turn grey. I called Northwest, and they arranged for some new strip material to be delivered, and that was that. Their very competitive price included all screens including the sliders.
We love the windows, the installation process was no worse than any other construction project, and the staff was courteous and helpful.

Northwest Exteriors replaced the windows of our office building in downtown Santa Rosa. These windows had not been replaced since the late 70’s. Our estimator (Tyler) was timely, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The windows were delivered on time, exactly as we needed, and right on budget. The installers were were right on time, and did a fantastic job. There was not one piece of scrap left inside or out of our building. We would use Northwest Exteriors again, and we certainly recommend them!

We were upgrading our home and one of our final touches was to put in new windows. Through the HERO program we were able to add windows that not only were much more energy efficient but look great. The picture casement windows are really nice.

So far so good. Very pleased with my guy Mario, on the initial sales call. Worked with me to get a deal, and delivered on the goods. The install crew was excellent, and supervisors came out during the install to verify I was satisfied. They actually noticed a mistake, ordered the correct pieces and came back to replace at no cost. Great communication, and I couldn’t be happier. I will of course update as time goes on for the actual product to perform etc… Thanks Windows Hawaii! Job well done!

I contacted Northwest Exteriors through the Hero Program (energy efficient program) to get a quote on windows for the whole house and two sliding doors.
The salesman came right out the same day. He was totally professional, informative, took a lot of time answering our questions and demonstrating the features of the Anlin window products. He measured everything during the visit and gave us a quote before he left. I am getting different estimates before I purchase but I definitely would buy from these guys.
The window reps that have come before and after Northwest Exteriors have had fair salesman and products but not the quality and professionalism of these guys.
I was in construction sales for 15 years and I know how contractors can be; however, the rep from Northwest was very genuine, no-​pressure, and knowledgeable.
I assume I will be calling them next week to order all my windows and doors.

We had Northwest Exteriors come to our home to give us a quote. We had done the research prior to their arrival and new what windows we wanted, but were looking for a company to install them. We their company’s representative arrived it was dinner time. The kitchen small so I cooked dinner while the sales person was trying to sell us something we already knew we wanted. He was irritated that I wouldn’t stop cooking, (small kids) couldn’t wait. To help I told him we needed a price for the windows with installation. He then realized we weren’t interested in high pressure sells, he broke out the contract. This is where people need to pay attention: On their contract they will use «Codes» which represent types of windows you are to receive. In our case it was windows with grids. We agreed on a price which the sells person was less than happy with but we were satisfied, that is until delivery day. (6) person crew showed up. There were workers on each side of my house beginning to pop the old windows out. When I noticed these were not the windows I agreed to. I frantically called stop stop! They only had unloaded a few windows off the truck. I told them to load up the windows they brought and bring me back the windows I agreed to which have grids. The crew were professional and this was not their oversight although the foreman tried to say: «Let us install these windows, and when your correct windows arrive, we will exchange them out». I said «Absolutely not». As a home owner YOU NEED TO BE THERE when they are preforming the work. So they returned to the shop when I received a call from the owner of the company. Who stated I would be responsible for their days wages. I threatened him with an attorney, I also stated that using codes on a contract which are supposed to represent an agreement in our case grids is a poor practice and less then transparent. However, after not hearing anything for three weeks, I finally received a call when the windows with the grids arrived. The installation was satisfactory the crew people were very respectful, but the sales person and the owner of this company are shady, will skirt the law when it is their best interest, and probably would do just about anything if they think they could get a way with it. Buyer beware and know your rights.

I had them install high quality dual pane windows in my whole house, with argon and LOE. When I returned home on the day of install, I practically broke down in tears! If only I saved the pics from that day. They had installed windows but had cracked the stucco all around, removed the paint, and left seams showing, among other things. It looked like a third grader installed them. When I called to make sure they weren’t finished yet, oh yes, they were. It wasn’t their problem, even though my contract states «retrofit application» on it. It took weeks of angry calls to Ken Aquino and threats of media publicity and license investigation for them to allow me to find matching outside paint that they placed over everything. To this day, it looks terrible, there is absolutely NO reduction in sound (it sounds like the windows are open when they’re closed, the white frame around the windows have cracked inside and out, and if the wind blows, it comes right into the house as if there was no sealing at all. I COULDN’T BE MORE UNHAPPY with Northwest Exteriors. They left cracks leading to my interior walls, and I highly doubt they installed the windows I paid for, especially with argon, as my decades old single pane windows looked better and performed better than these. And $ 6500 is a lot of money to pay for such abominable service. Buyers Beware: they are NOT trustworthy and are only interested in their bottom line, NOT your satisfaction.

First of all, each negative review that Northwest Exteriors replies to is signed «Tom Orr, Owner,» but at the top of the comment is someone named Christopher who is the person who really wrote the reply! Already deceitful!
Second, high pressure sales attempting to force consumers to sign a contract with such statements as «This offer is only good today,» is ILLEGAL in the State of California. Sears still tries it sometimes… until someone turns them in to the State Attorney General’s office… and so does Northwest Exteriors. They ARE pushy just like other reviewers have stated, and their arrogance is undeniable.
There is NO SUCH THING as an offer that is «only good today» in this State so don’t let a-​n-​y-​o-​n-​e tell you differently. When companies try that with me I tell them I’ll think about it and call them back by the end of the day, then when I do I’m always given other options, all-​of-​a-​sudden the discount timeline is extended, and I don’t even have to mention that I was planning on turning them in to the State Attorney General! They KNOW what they’re doing is illegal, they just hope that YOU don’t know.
Steer VERY VERY clear of people like this. They write vague contracts so they can weasel their way out of doing what they know you expect, they’ll switch products on you that are less expensive for them hoping you won’t notice, they make excuses by trying to double talk you, and they STILL don’t have a clue how powerful Unilocal Reviewers are!!! I despise their tactics and I’ve had to ask them to leave our property or I’ll have them removed. Our German Shepherd chased one of them out the door a few years ago!

This company frequently does cold calls to our home phone number and asks personal questions and information about our house in hopes of us giving them our business (hopefully that is their intention, could be up to worse). We are on the National Do Not Call Registry and this company just hangs up on you when you try to get removed from the call list. If they call a third time I will be reporting them.

These guys did a patio cover and new back sliding door with built in dog door. They did a great job. Be careful that the contract wording capture every commitment more verbally by the sales gust, but that’s pretty obvious. I’d recommend them to friends.

Ken (Regional Marketing Director) came out to our house to give us a bid on a covered patio and never gave us an estimate. I have followed up with him twice and nothing.
To add to the drama, the first time I set up an appointment, the clowns cancelled and gave my date and time to someone else without asking me.
They just lost $ 5K worth of work along with my neighbor and relatives who also were looking to get work done. Glad to see they are willing to waste their gas. It’s unfortunate that they fall under Orchard Supply.

Work done was complete replacement of all windows and two sliding doors with dual-​pane thermal glass.
The good:
1. Quality of materials and workmanship is very good.
2. Work was done quickly in one day.
The bad:
1. They called me with their initial sales call despite my being on the FTC’s Do-​Not-​Call list.
2. They cancelled an appointment to make engineering measurements on the day I took off from work to be present for the visit.
3. They misunderstood my request for a pet door in a screen and built one into the glass door itself (which cost extra).
4. One pass-​through window (opens from either left or right) is sticky, and they told me it would loosen up in time. After a month, we’re still waiting for it to loosen up.
All in all, not bad, but not great.
