Monster Mini Golf

A friend of mine had gone here before so I mentioned it to my husband and we decided to go one day. I’m so glad we did because it was so much fun. The drive up was no sweat but once you reached the building and entered, it was a little odd finding where to go. Once we found where to go, we had a great time.

Went in about half hour before they closed and we had driven here from midtown for a date. The concept was super cool and the music. They tried to turn us away because a half hour before close they stopped taking players. After a little convincing they let us play. It was for a super short time because the minute they closed they sent a girl out to retrieve us. Cool place, we could have enjoyed a better time. Make sure to give plenty of time before they close so your not rushed out :)

I went with 3 other friends for $ 9 per game (18 holes). None of us had mini golfed before but, it was a fun yet challenging experience for all of us. There is one field for everyone to play on, so we held up a few groups trying to make the ball in, although they recommended a max of 5 strokes, we tried our best to finish as quick as we could. Although one group decided to skip ahead. One game for us took around an hour, since we were so slow.
The decorations were cool and halloweeny, especially it being ‘glow in the dark.’ The staff was kind and even gave me a new ball after I hit too hard and it rolled somewhere under the arcades. We didn’t play the arcades but it lined the back wall.
¹⁰⁄₁₀ would come again.

Just Like A Course I Went To In Ft. Lauderdale, Except No Lazer Fun

I found out recently that Monster Mini Golf (Monster) didn’t exist only in the Sacramento area, but also in Ft. Lauderdale (FLL). While I give props to the course here for being a bit more complex in some rounds, the Monster in FLL had a great Lazer room that added more fun to the visit-​experience.
THE SETUP
This course location is fun, with some great rounds of play. Being in a indoor neon environment, it really is much more fun if you dress for the occasion with some neon-​friendly, intensely glowing clothing like we did!
GAMES
There are a lot of games to play here and if you accumulate a sufficient number of tickets, you are able to redeem them for an assorted selection of prizes which can be loads of fun.
THE LOWDOWN
A great place to play a round of Neon Glo-​In-​The-​Dark Putt-​Putt!

This place is awesome for birthday parties, families or if you are just looking to shake things up! I have never had so much fun mini golfing before! Not your cliché course for sure.
My husband and I decided to go on Halloween and we both really enjoyed the course. They have some fun aspects that twist up the game a little. The courses holes do all connect to each other! There is no divider. So watch your balls! Ahaha we didn’t loose any but I can imagine it might be easy for kids.
The atmosphere they create is spooky and fun at the same time. Everything is under a black light, so white is fun to where– along with the Halloween décor they have black light paint that really lights every thing up too. The owners are so incredibly sweet! We would definitely go back again.

On my goal to play every minigolf course in Northern California.
Weird, but at least it’s not the same old outside minigolf cliché you see at SunSplash and other places. Everything is under UV light, so things glow in disconcerting ways.
This is place is heavily oriented towards kids parties — lots of 70s/​80s style party music, happy birthday songs and the like.
The course itself is interesting — there’s no breaks between the holes, so you ball can run into the people on the next hole. There’s air blowing around some of the holes, and in general the number of obstacles make this course more a matter of luck than many others I’ve tried. Perhaps that’s for the best for a course that’s so kids oriented — indeed, my 11 year old, for the first time, very nearly beat me.
The problem for me is that it’s in Rancho Cordova, so it’s quite out of the way of my normal 80 route. However, if you’re going to Tahoe, it could be a great stop. I’d probably skip Spaghetti Factory though.
For novelty courses though, this is good, but I’d probably rate «SubPar» in Alameda higher, since it’s much closer and features local landmarks.

Wow, this place definitely needs to get promoted more. This place is amazing.
Very decent place, decent priced, and very well set up.
I love the artwork and all the décor.
There’s all kinda of cool monsters and props in this place.
It’s dark inside and glow in the dark but you can see really good still so don’t worry.
The overhead music is great, too.
It got me grooving and dancing.
I got hella holes in ones soo the courses are pretty good.
You don’t have to be some pro y’know.
It really cool they have some guy that runs around throwing prize tickets up in the air too.

It was just me and my friend two adults and we had a blast .
There were kids there too and people on dates so y’know that shows you that this place is pretty much great for everyone.
The staff here is super cool and the prizes you win are great.
They’re a lot better then Chuck-​E-​Cheese.
I suggest you give this place a try and definitely go inside.

This place is great! I went with 2 other adults and had a blast! When you walk in, it doesn’t seem like there is much to the course but there really is. It took us 3 a little over an hour to complete and we had a blast the entire time.
The creatures were cheesy but in a good way. It’s not too scary for kids. This is definitely a family place or a place for adults. It would make a fun date night!
I thought it was cool that some of the creatures come to life when you’re playing and they have it set to a way where you don’t expect it.
Pricing is very reasonable. It’s about $ 9 per adult and cheaper for children under 5′.
The location is a bit tricky to enter although you can see the place right off the freeway. You can’t access the parking lot without turning and then you have to try to find it in a suite setting. They have accurate signs and if you follow them you’ll find it just fine. The building is really nice. Attached to a couple boutiques and the Old Spaghetti Factory.
Overall, we had a memorable experience here and I would love to bring my friends and family again for another visit.

When it comes to Mini Golf your only option used to be Scandia… this place is WAY different!
To start, it’s a hidden gem you don’t even realize is in the Nimbus Winery parking lot. Who know’s how many times I’ve been to Spaghetti Factory and Tomy T’s Comedy/​and sometimes Rodeo Country Club and didn’t realize it was here.
Indoor and Mini Golf sound good, there’s a mini arcade with prizes… okay getting better… a room for private parties… thanks! Really convenient… but hold on… EVERYTHINGS BLACKLIGHT!!!
Between the art on the walls, the glowing holes, golf balls and clubs, and awesome prizes (glow Frisbee and shirts) this place looks and IS AWESOME!
I’d strongly recommend it for anyone with kids… since I have none I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon… perhaps if we did an ADULT day of drinking and wagers with friends but definitely good clean fun and FAMILY friendly. :)

This place is worth a shot if you’ve never been glow-​in-​the-​dark mini golfing. Came on a busy day and had to wait 30 minutes before we got to mini golf. However there’s a small arcade area where you can win tickets and redeem for mediocre prizes. The arcade games are the typical ones (i.e. Deal or No Deal, Doodle Jump, spin the wheel).
Mini-​Golf course: it’s fairly easy and not challenging. Compared to Scandia where there’s difficulty obstacles, this one some straight shot and a small curves which took about 2 – 4 puts before making it into the whole. However there’s this one hole where you get to spin the wheel to create your own obstacle. I spun and my opponent had to put with his eyes closed. I, however had to put while my opponent got to stand anywhere to block me. So that was cool and different! :)
I don’t think I would come again just because there’s not much to do here but still, it’s worth a shot for those that haven’t been :)

I’ve been to Monster Golf a few times now over the years since moving to Sacramento. Once with my Husband and his kids and once with a group of friends. I can say since I have had two completely different visits that it’s more fun for kids than adults.
The glow in the dark mini golf idea is pretty cool and they do a good job with it. The space is on the smaller side, so they only have one course but there are the usual amount of holes. The golf course takes up about half the place and the other half consists of a small glow in the dark gift store, two private party rooms and a small area for arcade games where you can win tickets and turn them in for glow in the dark prizes.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the place is clean and well taken care of. It’s semi hard to find inside of a small «mall» filled with the Old Spaghetti Factory and a few other stores. I would come back again if I was with small kids because they would enjoy it, but would skip it if I was coming back with a group of adults because there’s not enough to do to hold older people’s attention.

Let me first just say this place is awesome! I came here recently for an event and the moment I walked into Monster Mini Golf, I instantly became a little kid again. I love the glow in the dark concept. I knew glow bowling was huge years back but glow in the dark miniature golf?
Monster Mini Golf is a really fun place for all ages. They have fun games (mainly games to win tickets) like «Deal or No Deal», «Speed of Light» and the usual basketball and skeeball games. And then they have the glow in the dark mini golf course, which might look small when you first see it but trust me it’s packed with 18 very creative and unique holes.
You can tell the owner put a lot into the details into making this miniature golf experience truly dark and spooky. The scary animatronics throughout the course and all of the props you’ll see along the way makes this one very unique and fun experience. I would definitely come back with a group of friends and play another round of miniature golf.

We had a really good time at Monster Mini Golf. Its good for couples, small groups and large parties. I brought my whole softball team once and we had a blast running the whole place. But more recently I was here for my daughters bday with 4 of her good friends.
PRO #1 They keep the place crazy cold with the AC which makes it an awesome place to escape the sacto HEAT.
The check in was fast and painless and not too expensive.
The place is clean yet dark to make the best use of black lights, scary but fun art and cool scary animatronics. Theres music playing with a DJ. So theres usually modern popular pop music, fun rap and dance music.
Its never been that crowded and that has been a big plus. Probably because of the location which is off an exit that not too many people use.
The putting holes vary from fairly easy to darn near impossible which helps to keep the laughs going. Plan on playing golf for about 45 mins to an hour. Then theres video games and skill games to win tix in order to buy little trinkets.
I highly recommend this place to old and young. Small groups and large parties. Good family fun.

Folks this place is so flipping cool!!!
Rain or shine mini golf is not just here but with a fun twist. Not just glow in the dark but cool monsters, demons, and even a three-​headed dog that will jump out and scare the SH outta you.
Smack (not too hard) or tap the glowing golfball around through some pretty tricky courses. Feel free to hit up the dj for your favorite song or way be a game such as freeze or green/​yellow/​red light.
There are decent selection of fairly new video games and skill games. Beware of the air hockey game, as the puck will get stuck in the goal. After playing prize ticket games, head over to the ticket counter kiosk for your tally. The prizes are much more fair «costs» than them «pizza» places.
Two private party rooms, each looks to accommodate about 20 people and each has a small/​medium refrigerator for your soda/​cake/​ice cream.
Only one restroom about there are more in the main lobby across from the Old Spaghetti Factory’s entrance.
Tons of parking. Try to park on the east side to get the afternoon/​evening shade. We overtaxed the ac system with a very large group but it was a very hot day.
Super friendly staff. Indoor fun, rain or shine. A few great restaurants close. Easy off and back into the freeway.

It’s been many years since I’ve spent any time swing any kind of club. In all that time, I haven’t improved. I tried at first to recall my old school geometry and understanding of angles, energy, an mass and quickly realized that it was a waste of time. Instead, I relied on instinct of fun; quit taking it seriously; I didn’t have to get a hole-​in-​one EVERY time.
It wasn’t long before my attention span diminished and found myself wondering off course distracted by the pretty colors, light, music, and the glowing people around me. And to think for the first 5 minutes, I missed all that. We’re keeping score? That didn’t last long either.
This is a fun and different thing to do with a group of friends. It was a bit warm inside. The staff were fantastic and friendly. Something to do before or after dinner at one of the restaurants in the immediate area.

I came here last night for a Unilocal Elite event. This place is totally 80s and cheesy and altogether wonderful!
This was my first time doing indoor mini golf which makes the game feel a bit more cramped. Of course, this could be due to all the people that were there for the event.
There were fun decorations and tons of glow in the dark. Make sure to wear white and glow under the lights :)
I also had a blast in the arcade section, although the prizes were not quite as amazing as they seemed when I was a kid.
This would be a great place to take kids, go on a date or even a fun ladies night out.

I came to Monster Mini Golf last night for a Unilocal event.
I didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never played mini golf inside before. As we walked in the music was pumping and it was dark but glowing. All the neon colors were amazing, in all the black lights.
The course was fun, a little small and it got kinda warm in there, but all the props were very cool. Hole placement are easy but don’t let it fool you, it has harder hole placements too. Wait I have to hit the ball where LOL. Good times on the course. The DJ was cool playing good music and interacting with all the golfers.
The arcade was fun, games were clean and fun and the floor had zero trash on it.
Staff was very friendly, I had 4 different staff members come up and ask if I needed anything and also asking if our golf group was having fun.
Over all it was a blast, such a great times with friends. I cant wait to come back. and enjoy some Monster Mini Golf.

Monster Mini Golf should be more popular. I had the chance to experience the facility after many years of passing by it in the Nimbus Winery building near Hazel and 50. If you are waiting for a table at the Old Spaghetti Factory, you probably have seen the signs pointing to a back entrance with a lot of haunted house imagery. They make good use of a limited and awkward space to create one of the more unique miniature golf experiences I have had.
The basic theme is black light. Monster illuminates the entire facility with black light, allowing the colors to glow in a cool psychedelic manner. There is a lot of fun imagery ranging from monsters to more rave-​ish material, but nothing that would be unacceptable for children. You can even impress your guests by whipping out your credit cards and drivers license which have special hidden images that appear when exposed to the black light.
The overall course is a somewhat challenging 18 holes with a couple of fun additions, including several hole-​in-​one challenges and some rather crazy holes. The holes are cramped which means you will either stand perched on the barriers or potentially in another groups area. On our packed night, there was little problem with running into others, but the challenging play does create traffic jams.
They have an interesting arcade system with several games designed to generate prize tickets. At some level, this is pure gambling like most ticket games, but they seem to be pretty entertaining. The system of feeding the tickets into a counter is new to me, but is more like a ticket Coinstar. There is no bar or food service, but the Old Spaghetti factory can serve as your 19^th Hole.
Overall, this was a fun place to play mini golf. It is completely indoors to allow play during hot and wet weather. The cool black lights make a very unique experience, especially if your group is dressed the part. Monster Mini Golf is actually a unique and fun family-​friendly place for everyone!

FANTASTIC TIME!
When we got here, it looked so AWESOME! Black lights and neon colors everywhere!
Everyone had a great attitude here! I loved the man behind the counter with the painted on orange eye brows and orange mustache! When he turned around, he had eye balls painted on the back of his head! BRILLIANT!
We were greeted by Alex & Katie in the back rooms, they dressed in white, which glowed wonderfully. There was a line to get your face painted so we can look just as awesome as them!
You guys looked SOOOO GOOOOD!
There are 18 holes to play mini golf. Random Frisbee tosses which were very amusing. Hahaha, I got one to take home!
The layout was fun, very well lit up. Some of the holes were hard to find, but only took an extra few seconds. We got lots of pictures, the clown was scary looking and I loved it. Big, bright and in your face.
Only down side… there was one bathroom stall for everyone. One toilet for so many people. Hopefully, they soon change that.

We had an amazing time here last night for the Unilocal Elite Event! Have you ever played miniature golf in the dark??? Well, maybe not quite that dark because if you are wearing white or anything that glows in the dark it will illuminate glowingly!!! Eighteen holes went by fast with the fun dancing music in the background. I actually had a hole in one at the eighteenth hole compared to the countless times I had the maximum of five!!! LOL! We literally had the best time ever with our Elite friends there to party with us!!!
This is a great way to celebrate a birthday which it so happened to be my hubby’s yesterday! He really got lucky, didn’t he? He says his middle name is «Lucky» and here all this time I thought it was Kenji??? Now who’s fooling who?
Anyway, if you are thinking of celebrating that special day, just come and check this venue out. You are guaranteed to have a blast!!! The employees were so nice and helpful that you won’t be sorry if you booked an event here! I believe the prices are fairly reasonable compared to other things one would want to do for a birthday or special event. So don’t wait! Come and enjoy!!! You just may be sorry because you waited this long to enjoy it!!!
