This Jimboy’s location was a disappointment. I did come by a little late(they close at 10pm, I came at 8pm). Upon entering, there was a terrible musky smell that almost smells rotten. After ordering and sitting there for a few minutes thinking about what that smell may be, I looked on the floor and it was still a little wet. That was when it dawned on me that it was the floor. The floor was radiating a terrible smell that I can only describe as old, dirty water. Perhaps the mop wasn’t rinsed for a very long while? Or the water was used and reused again? Either way… Unacceptable for a restaurant. My appetite was completely lost once I entered the restaurant. The food was subpar as well. I ordered my usual 3 ground beef tacos. The grilled tortilla was a bit soggy compared to the usual near-crispy(and chewy) tortillas at other locations. The ground beef was not seasoned correctly and just tasted… Off. Service was subpar as the restaurant and the food. The cashier wore a straight face the whole time, even when I thanked her or told her to have a good night because I’m so used to doing so to cashiers and servers because I appreciate the work they do. Overall, this location needs work.

Food: Their food is okay here. No consistency in their beef tacos. Some days the shell will be crispy just right, the next, it can be too crispy. Their side of rice is not great at all, it’s not moist. The one thing I really wish they had is the spicy hot sauce, there’s NO hot sauce at all. Compared to other Jimboy’s Tacos locations, this one needs improvement. Service: The cashier and cooks always try their best to cook the food in time and serve it as quickly as possible. It gets quite busy during lunch. The owner is there sometimes and will actually serve the food of tray to the customers if he knows who it goes to. Overall, I only come here because it’s the only location around in the area.

I come here on my lunch break sometimes and the food is always good! I am a die hard Jimboys fan. Out of all in town, this is the best one. Some thing different about the tacos. Must be the love when made lol.

Low quality Mexican food at its finest. They are not generous with their portions either. I went to their drive thru and even though I was yelling my order they couldn’t hear me. When I arrived at the window they only gave me 2 tacos instead of 3. Then the lady was arguing with me and literally threw the third taco at me. Despite the abuse the food was mediocre. Their Carne Asada was whack and the way they put my taco together was like letting a 2 year old make tacos.

Not the cleanest looking inside, definitely needs to be remodeled. I have been going to Jim boys for a long time I don’t understand why they are so pricy tho. I got a bean burrito from here and it was okay… Not piping hot like I’m use to. Overall I enjoyed it and the staff was pretty friendly. I just wish they used gloves.

This has been one of my favorite spots for years this location was not good service average not as hot and fresh as I would have like but still cool; the interior is old so I’m sure the stoves are just as old this location could use a makeover their are much better jimboys locations this one needs help

Wow I’m surprised by the reviews. My family and I really like this location. But let me just start off by saying that I LOVE Jimboy’s tacos. I think they’re my favorite tacos in the Sacramento area and if they had locations near where I live, it would definitely be dangerous. I’m not sure what it is but I first had them at a young age and have loved them ever since.(Side note: I wouldn’t say this is genuine, authentic Mexican food. It’s more like fast food but a level up from your average Taco Bell so don’t expect anything more than that!) What makes their tacos different is the beef and cheese. The cheese is all melted and I don’t know what’s in that beef but I really like it. I specifically like this location lately because I feel like they put more beef in their tacos(compared with the other location I’ve been to in the past years, the East Bidwell /Folsom location). This location is older looking but there’s barely a wait whenever I go. Also, I’ve never gotten anything but the regular beef tacos. They’re worth a try! Sorry I don’t have pictures. I can’t help but dig in right when they arrive cuz they’re so freaking good. Dang it, I’m craving it so much now. Will definitely be back! Hint: On Sundays, tacos are around $ 1.50/each!

Ah Jimboys Tacos. What can you say about them? Authentic? I think not, I dont know of any Mexican chef who rubs their soft taco shells with parmigiana cheese. It could be that they use authentic burro meat? This is one of those restaurants you love to hate until you have a craving for greasy food. I dont know if its the plastic décor, the plethora of homeless people(how they can afford this place when I almost cant I have no idea) or the Hispanic help who cant speak English. Somehow cheesy Amerimex works for this place even though I cannot fathom how it keeps its doors open, For the same price you can get a much better meal at any La Fiesta or Aldabertos. See you at Jimboys next time I’m hung over :)

BEWARE: Do NOTEATHERE! The food here is disgusting and they have terrible customer service! I ordered the Family Fest meal. The meat was old and burnt and I can almost bet that the nacho cheese was nothing more than water and food coloring! How in the world is this place still in business?!

My first time visit and it was not good. Order was wrong and they forgot to put cheese on tacos. Tacos were very soggy. the cashier and the manager were veryfriendly. I thought it was way over priced for fast food.

This is an older Jimboy’s, the counter area and menu could use a facelift. It’s Jimboy’s. Great chicken and beef taco’s. The bean burrito is pretty good too, I prefer the Jr size as the regular is just to much beans. I usually have to grab about 2 or 3 handfuls of their hot sauce while I’m there. I hope they don’t start to recognize me as the packet bandit. It’s good taco sauce!

I’d never seen a Jimboy’s Tacos before this night and this was the second location. I wanted something to eat before going into the grocery store at Koreana Plaza. You know what happens when you shop on an empty stomach. As a first time, I didn’t know what to expect, and there was only one car in the parking lot, though it seems rather an empty stretch of road, and most people were stuck in traffic on U.S. 50. It took a little while for someone to arrive at the counter but we were busy looking at the menu. They had quite a bit of everything. The prices didn’t seem great or bad. My buddy ordered a Super Burrito and I ordered a Burrito Bowl – both with ground beef – and two drinks. It wasn’t too long and the food was ready. They didn’t even wait for one of us to arrive. They just left it at the counter. I haven’t had a burrito bowl since I left the eastern half of the country, and I used to have one about once a week. Del Taco has something similar to what I used to get. This didn’t look like any of those but there was a large amount of lettuce, and some cheese, with a lot of sour cream(baked potatoes, please – burrito bowls, no), which didn’t look like the photo on the display. As I dug through the layers, I found rice, beans, and more, but the bowl was so tiny that I couldn’t mix it or my food would have been all over the tray. The super burrito was huge but much of filled it was lettuce. Lettuce isn’t particularly cheap, but it could have used a better balance of ingredients, just like the burrito bowl. The meat didn’t seem to be a mix of ground beef and oatmeal, such as Taco Bell uses, but only ground beef with a bit of sauce, and it had a good taste. Thinking about the price again, it wasn’t a good deal, and while the food was good, it wasn’t exactly memorable.

We have been to this location several times and always go for the tacos. Something addictive about parmesan coated tortilla shells and gooey goodness on the inside. This location is sometimes hit and miss on service, but food quality is always good. Will probably never be my go to spot for Jimboys’ take on tacos, but if in the neighborhood might give them another try.

It took five minutes just to have our order taken. Not even a greeting say well be right there. Once we ordered and went to sit down. We started to notice that everything was sticky the table and chairs are shabby. The catch is they don’t see a problem with the rise of their prices.

No way! Stay away! This place is crazy, I ordered 4 tacos and my bill was over $ 15??? Just for the sake of value I will never eat at a jimboys taco again! Now what I ordered… very disappointed I ordered 2 original tacos beef. Those were good like a home made taco I expected that. Then I got daring and asked what the employees thought was good. So I tried the steak and fish taco. Terrible!!! Steak was over cooked and smothered in nasty cheap cheese(the kind that tastes like glue when melted) The fish was a oil drenched fish stick in a tortilla. This place needs to figure them selves out because they are redicluous

Good food bit this place takes foreeeeever! This is not fast food in any way. Doesn’t taste like it, being delicious, but also it takes forever to get food. Wish they were faster instead of a 20 minute drive through process.

It’s very similar to most Jimboy’s to which I’ve been. It was tasty and a little less clean than I’d like. It was I-5 clean. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the Del Taco in Folsom. That place is freaky clean. Update: last time I ordered tacos. This time I got a burrito. The burrito was one and a half times the size of a Jimboys burrito I get in my neighborhood.

Prompt, friendly service both times I came here. Food isn’t bad; not authentic or super-great tasting, but definitely a cut above Taco Bell and Del Taco. Think of it as a Subway of Mexican food. Their chicken tacos are better than the beef tacos. I was also very happy to see the front end employee washing her hands after she took my order and walked to the kitchen in the back. I was gonna give them three stars but decided to bump it up after the hand-washing.

I wish this place was called Janeboy’s so it would sound better on our wedding invitations cus I love this lady! I can picture it now… Here comes the bride, all dressed in tender meat juices :) Okay, I don’t need to get crafty with the review on this one. You want a delicious taste explosion in your mouth? You get your booty on down to a Jimboy’s and grub on a few of their original ground beef tacos. TRUSTME! HEAVENLY!!!
