AMAZING experience! From Alec in sales, to Will the install manager, and the actual installers. top notch. The two installers were highly efficient and totally respectful of our home. They did an excellent job carefully cleaning up after themselves with all the dust and debris. Nose to the grind working. and arrived punctually. We had 900 sf on the first floor, removing Linoleum, carpet and tile. We purchased CoreTech Plus in Alabaster Oak. Stunning!
The job was quoted at 2+ days and was done in less than 2.
I love Alec!!! She was a good listener fun to work with, brought administrative experience and product knowledge to the table and was the one that came to measure. We stayed in touch over a few weeks to check in and throughout the install to process.

We decided to replace our floors from porcelian tile and laminate to engineered hardwood and asked one of our neighbors who did her house, she recommended Gold River Flooring. We’re so glad we took her advice, this was a major project for us, since our entire bottom flooring was to be replaced, about 2000sq ft. Alma was a wealth of information, she helped us make the right choice of wood, based on our house style, life style and budget. Once, the project got underway, Joe, was there everyday to over see the job. When the orginal flooring was demolished, Joe checked for moisture, and even though the house was built on slab, one of the rooms showed moisture. We had to let it dry out for a few days, and upgrade the type of glue. Jack and his crew took 2 days to grind the floor, he explained to us that the floor must be perfectly even and smooth, another fact that we had no idea was so important to proper flooring. We ran into another snag, when Jack starting laying the planks, he discovered that the grooves that should lock into place perfectly, were off a fraction and informed us that, he couldn’t in good faith use it. Jeff, the owner was contacted by Joe, about the defects in the planks, and by the time we drove to Gold River Flooring, Jeff had contacted the manufacturer, and had them upgrade the wood from the original gold standand to the platinum standard at no cost to us. Needless to say, we were so grateful to gold river flooring and their staff. The flooring turned out absolutely positvely beautiful, Jack and his crew are truly craftsmen of their trade. I would recommend Gold River Flooring to all my neighbors, friends, and family. They go beyond the norm to make their customers happy with their work and products.

Well we have been going through our «old house» and trying to update it into the new century and it has been exciting and exhausting at the same time. The hardest was the floors and my wife and I have really struggled to make up our mind. In February we attended the local «Home Show «in Sacramento. There we met Gold River Carpet One, represented by Alma. It took a couple of months but we finally made an appointment to visit with Alma at her Showroom. Alma was a pleasure to work with. Great energy and sense of humor, but most importantly, she knew her products very well. She did not try to steer us in any particular direction but showed us what we wanted to look at, and filled us in on the strengths and weaknesses of each. She was diligent with her follow up, and worked with us on the budget we had and the price they had. When we were done it seemed this was the best place we could choose for our floors. Alma is Número uno in our book. We also dealt with Will who came out to the house and measured everything for the estimate. He did an incredible job of measuring every nook and cranny of our house for the estimate. Quite frankly our decision to work with this company was based solely on these two people doing a professional job. We committed, and just this last Monday the install crew leader Jack, rang our doorbell. Now we were prepared for hell as we felt that we needed to move out entire house to get this done. We cleared the Living Room our selves and most of the family room so Jack and team would have some area to work on. Boy did they work. Within 5 minutes the Carpet was gone from the living room. They repaired the slab and had our beautiful Bamboo floor down in nothing flat. They worked hard, they were pleasant, they were respectful of us and our home and furnishings. And get this, they moved all of our furniture from one room to the next as they needed to continue working. Jack and his crew were awesome, Alma was a Pro, and Will was precise in his measurements. We have found our home for flooring, and I would recommend that anyone seek them out when you need new floors. A++

Working with Gold River Carpet One for our laminate floors exceeded my expectations, and I’m one very tough customer. The ordering process with Alma was a treat, contrary to the bidding process with other companies. Home Depot lost our business when we discovered unwelcome surprises in its estimate. Lumber Liquidators was a joke. The installation team Carpet One sent us was excellent. Polite, hygienic, fast, hard-​working and super-​skilled. One of our next home improvements will be new carpeting where we don’t have the hardwood. When we tackle that phase, it’s GR Carpet One’s job to lose because we won’t want to deal with anyone else. Also loved working with a locally owned business!

I can’t say enough good things about this company, Jeff the president, and Joaquin/​Jose who did my installation. First, Jeff «found some paper work to do» since I couldn’t make it by closing time to make my order. Second, when I was hard pressed to be ready for the install on Saturday, I was offered a Sunday install and they actually came on Sunday and did that (with only a couple days lead time). Third, the install was done very professionally – the complex seaming was precise, carpet was tight fit to the wall (including bay window area) yet NO evidence of the all-​to-​common problem of walls getting dinged. They removed the sliding closet door to get a secure and tight fit of the carpet under the track along with addressing a couple transition challenges. Overall, service was excellent and prices competitive. I highly recommend Gold River Carpet One. This company is a great example of the advantage of dealing with a independently owned, well-​managed company rather than a big chain. Good luck getting service this good at a big-​box store.

After going to Home Depot, Lowes, S&G and a few others, I stumbled into this slightly off the beat and path carpet and flooring store. I’m so glad I did. I had an idea of what I was looking for. After all, I saw a 5 inch square of it from one of the other proprietorships I went to. I thought I could picture it in in a 420 sf space. I was really fixed on this idea. Then I met Allen. He came out and introduced himself. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me around. They had the specific laminate I was looking for, then he showed me some other laminates. He told me about the quality of the current laminates. he showed me possibilities in a larger than 5×5 inch square and I could see how it would look.
We picked out a few samples and he offered to come by my house the same day so I could see how they’d look on my floor. WOW!
He came by my house on time, measured my floors, and we looked at the samples I chose at the store on my floor. I fell in love with the hand scraped acacia wood laminate. (This was soooo NOT what I originally thought I would get because the previous rep who came to my house led me to believe it wouldn’t be possible to do anything but the white-​ish laminate I chose) Alan came over with creative possibilities, suggestions and a helpful, can-​do attitude. He worked within my budget constraints and we scheduled for the floor installation for the following week.
The floor people showed up on time. One man came early to remove the baseboards and the old carpet followed by the lead floor man, James. They found my concrete floor was not level they fixed it. No problem. I also had 2 inch gaps in the space between the drywall and the concrete floor. James advised me the ½ round I ordered wouldn’t work because of the gap. –Problem.
We’ll the floor God’s must have been with me because the floor they brought was not the hand scraped floor I ordered, but smooth. (not their fault-​a shipping error.) This gave me time to fix the walls and paint the trim area.
***Now here’s a tip for you. You can have the company remove the baseboards and reinstall them for you, BUT, if you remove the baseboards yourself, ahead of your appointment time, you’ll have time to paint the trim area and fix whatever you may need to fix before the floor gets laid.
One week later, my floors were installed. James and his crew laid out my floors in one day. They worked tirelessly. My floors are beautiful. James is an expert in his field. Professional and kind. They cleaned up everything when they were done and I was left with floors that make me feel wonderful when I look at them

We spent 4 months searching for the right carpet. My husband was all about the feel of the carpet and I was focused on the color. We went to S&G and they were true to 50% of their advertising; they had quality carpet but it wasn’t affordable. We went to Wood Brothers and found very affordable carpet in a color I liked but it wasn’t the quality my husband was wanting. When we found Gold River Carpet we got the best of both worlds. Alma, our carpet specialist, was wonderful. Even though we had already had our home measured and knew how many sq ft we needed she went ahead and sent out her team to measure at no charge to us. We were able to find a beautiful brand name quality carpet and she sharpened her pencil to meet our budget. The installers were great and the only hiccup we had was when I accidentally drove over a section of carpet which was laying in the driveway. Very happy and highly recommend Gold River Carpet One.
