I am so happy I finally found a good electrician that is honest and reliable in his work. I reached out to several electricians for new lighting I was needing in my rooms and Jacob was prompt and answered all my questions. He showed up on time and was efficient in his work. He covered the floors and the furniture/​areas where the work would get messy. I needed new wiring put in for my ceiling fans and he was able to make the least amount of holes in my walls. After he finished, he cleaned everything up and didn’t leave a mess. My final cost came in lower than the quote. Overall I am extremely happy with the work he did and will be calling him again for my electrical needs.

I just couldn’t ask for anything more. I’ve had a bunch of different tradesmen of all kinds (plumbers, gardeners, pool tech, etc) at a couple of different houses recently and my main complaint is that their communication is terrible. I end up wasting hours of my life for them to spend 10 minutes fixing my problem. My time is valuable!
Jacob understands that. His price was not cheap but the work was quality and the communication and customer service were worth every cent. I will definitely be using him for all future projects.

you couldn’t go wrong with Jacob. About 3 months ago I hired another electrician to install a 240v outlet in my garage to hook up EV charger. After the appointment was scheduled, I got an emergency call and needed to travel. I desperately needed the job done before the trip but the electrician couldn’t come until a week later, so I called Jacob, he came later the day, and get this done in less than 2 hrs, starting from a new breaker in the panel. after 3 months and several storms, I haven’t seen any issue, everything just worked. The cost is very fair and reasonable if you look at the quality and professionalism.

Another very happy and satisfied customer here. Jacob came out and hooked up our spa electrical system today. He was fast, friendly and courteous. His prices are fair and reasonable (I got several quotes). And he is just a genuinely nice guy. I’m happy to say I found my new electrician. I highly recommend him. I also appreciate that they do not solicit your Unilocal reviews with gift cards or other incentives like some other companies do.

Basically, I would never hire any other electrician again for any reason after working with Goch and Sons. These are my go-​to contractors for electrical moving forward.
These guys are great! Jacob and his brother were the subs on a remodel we did and I could not be happier with the results. I had them come back to do some additional electrical work on a separate project and they came through again on that job.
These gentlemen shoot straight and don’t pull any punches. Their pricing is fair and they do a quality job. What more could you ask for?!

Jacob just installed some pendant lights in our kitchen. Did a great job. Very clean, quality work. I can tell he pays attention to detail. Very reasonable prices based on other quotes I received, and he was able to get to the job quicker than most. I’m very happy. I will likely be using them again on future projects.

I’ve had Jason do two electrical jobs at my new home and he’s done a great job each time. He cleans up after he is done too. He even came by at 7am when I was having some sort of lighting issue, but the problem resolved itself and he didn’t charge me a service fee. He’s local and I recommend him.

I apologize to Jacob for such a late posting. My work was completed on Jan 4. I totally agree with all the « Unilocalers» who posted before me. Goch and Sons Electric is every 5 star comment as stated before mine. Jacob is 100% awesome. Super professional, reasonable, honorable and stays true to his quote. His work is nothing but top notch. It was such a pleasure to have him and his brother Bob in my home working on several electrical projects.
Before the work began, Jacob came by to provide a reasonable estimate. He explained how the work was going to be performed and provided several time periods when he was available. During the day of the job, Jacob and his brother arrived promptly and worked diligently the entire day on all the projects we agreed on. In fact, I had additional work that kept him over by several hours. Instead of rescheduling, he touched base with other clients and was able to work me in the rest of the day. Both he and his brother worked into the dark evening hours to complete the work.
The different projects consisted of both exterior and interior wiring for security lights, surveillance cameras, outlets, drop pendant lights and a holiday lighting receptacle with a breaker and timer. The working conditions that day was by far perfect. It was raining steadily and I offered to have his truck parked inside the garage, but he declined. There was also a lot of time spent in our home’s tight attic space to fish wiring throughout the house. I also had several trade people come by throughout the day to address other homeowner issues which didn’t phase Jacob the least bit. Both he and Bob simply worked around everything. An important note: If there were questions, it was asked consistently by Jacob and Bob before any work was performed by assumption.
I was so confident that I just went about doing other things and just checked in from time to time. Always getting a «we’re good» from Jacob and his brother Bob… also a certified licensed electrician coming from Antioch in his own work van!
Needless to say, you can’t go wrong with Goch and Sons Electric. You know how sometimes one gets a pit in their stomach when work is being done by a trades person you don’t know for the first time? We’ll rest assure, Jacob is a pro’s pro. I give the company my highest recommendation. Great job guys… everything is working awesome!

Jacob is awesome! We have an older, charming home (built in ’41) that needed recessed lighting installed. We were prepared to install the lights, but the knob and tube electrical was more than we could tackle. Jacob was able to set up all of the electrical, prep our box for a larger dimmer switch and gave us some super helpful tips for install. He was quick, efficient and meticulous about cleaning up after he was finished. Thank you, Jacob!

Such a professional and thorough job! Jacob was extremely solution-​oriented and found the best option for everything we needed in our home. He’s done two jobs for me. He really impressed me the first time, being quick, friendly, helpful, effective. But it was the second time (when all the outlets and switches on one wall went out) that made me think, «I’ve got to Unilocal this guy!»
I have a home warranty, so I don’t have control over who they send. First, they sent Woo Brothers, who didn’t fix the problem, but did leave two of my working outlets messed up. The second company (Turner) couldn’t fix the problem (or more to the point, wouldn’t fix the problem under my warranty and wanted me to pay them a few hundred dollars for rewiring). In fact, to get out of doing it under the warranty, they apparently made the warranty company doubt that there was ever electricity in the first place. (Sure, when I had cable TV installed, I said, «Hmm. Where should I put the TV? I know, let’s put it where there’s no electricity.» And then, with a warranty, I waited 2 ½ years before requesting a repair for the outlets and lights in the family room. So, how many hundreds of affidavits would you like from house guests who have watched a working TV and not groped around in the dark over the years?!?)
Anyway, they finally called Goch & Sons. He fixed it quickly. Under the warranty. Friendly. Nice. Call him.

I needed to install a fan in one of our bathrooms and am very happy to have reached out to Goch & Sons. Jacob was professional, easy to schedule the installation with and very helpful with my fan purchase suggestions.

I live in an older home and the previous owner did a lot of electrical work himself; which was scary considering he was not an electrician. When lights started flickering by themselves in the middle of the night, we knew it was time to bring in a professional.
I called Jacob at Goch & Sons Electric because of the favorable Unilocal reviews and am so happy I did! He returned my call quickly and was able to answer my questions and concerns over the phone. I called on a Monday and he came out that Friday. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable about our electrical situations/​issues. He did a great job explaining the problems and what our options were to address them. He was very patient with me and all of my questions.
He took on a number of items (installing can lights, replacing light fixtures, installing a motion sensor light above the garage, & more) and everything looks fantastic and professionally done.
On top of being highly knowledgeable, he is also honest and VERY reasonably priced! I will never call another electrician for our electrical needs and have already started referring him to friends!

I got a quote from another electrician to install a 3 prong drier and they hadn’t gotten back to give me availability after 2 days. I contacted Jacob and he came to the property the same day and did the job on the spot for $ 100 cheaper than the other guys quoted. He also had critique of how the other electricians had wired my house and seemed very talented and knowledgeable about his profession.
I would definitely recommend him and will be calling him for my future electrical needs. Very good price quotes if you compare with other electricians.

Jacob rewired, what to me was a complicated electrical circuit with ease, explaining the problem and the solution to me He completed the work in a timely manner and at a reasonable price.

I just had a great experience with this electrician.
I had some nagging, minor electrical work that needed to be addressed. I found Jacob on Unilocal and he had some great reviews. He’s really busy (because he’s good), but he set the appointment for 5 days after my call.
He’s really good-​natured, and great with my dogs (who aren’t barkers, anyway). He went about diagnosing and changing light fixtures, replacing doorbells and a few other things I need done. He worked on his own, ran for parts needed, all while informing me as to what he was doing and why. He’s a real contractor, so no money was needed up front.
He just got it done in about 2 hrs, 15 minutes, did it at a GREAT price, and made everything better than before. He even takes credit cards (including my AMEX).
I highly recommend Jacob!
