Express Brake & STAR Smog

I brought my car in for a smog cert, Great service, friendly, professional, prompt and efficient.

Location — The location is in a back road near recycling centers & car dealerships. Fairly hidden with lot’s of parking space. Depending on some days, not too busy to where there’s no parking.
Waiting — I sat in the waiting room for about 10 minutes on a non busy day to get my car smogged. Not bad
Environment — Office clean & comforting. They even got a couch!
Staff — Friendly & honest
Price — Okay compared to other places I’ve been. Can’t say how much or where, but it’s still a fair deal.
Experience — I came to get my car smogged & due to good reviews seen on Unilocal.At first I was a bit timid by the front desk guy, but you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. He was temporarily filling in for someone so can’t blame him. Anyway, I was told my car was going to fail before they would actually going to smog it. In a relief I knew about this, but did not want to say anything that would lead to dissapoint of wasting their time. I totally forgot my car would fail, however they caught it anyway telling me it would & shouldn’t smog it saving me money. These guys are pretty cool & honest. The long hair guy is awesome! Forget his name, but if you need help with your vehicle, he will help you in the kindness manner. I recommend going here.

They were really fast and reasonably priced. They even gave me a discount for liking them on Facebook. Got in and out in about 15 – 20 minutes.

Excellent service, they went above and beyond to help me out. My brakes were acting up so they had a look at no charge, and gave me some advice on what to do. They were very friendly and helpful, so they have my business

So glad I found this place. I procrastinated and ending up searching for a place to get my smog on the 31^st. Luckily, I came across this place on Unilocal.When I got there there was one person ahead of me, but they got me in and not in 20 minutes or less. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if you are in a time crunch.

These folks were very quick and got my smog and oil chnge done in less than a half hour.

Just had my smog done here. I was in and out and paid in less than 10 minutes. It was reasonably priced and they guy was really nice and friendly.

Waiting room was clean and quiet. I called in advance and was able to walk right in and have my smog appointment on time as scheduled and they were quick as can be. There is literally nothing I can complain about.

So I was looking for my car to be smog. I searched on Unilocal and it was only a few mins alway from my house. So I headed over. When I got there I was grey by a nice man name Steven R. I told him I need my car serviced. As soon as I looked up my car was going in and with five mins or so he was all finished and my car passed. That was the fastest service that I have ever experienced in my life. I will tell others and will be back again.

Swung in today to get a smog check before moving out of state. 50 bucks with certificate, and took about 15 minutes from time to pulling up to pulling away. Can’t ask for much more than that, right?

Looked for a quick place to go for a smog and Unilocal had this highly rated shop within 2 miles of where I was. This place is clean, QUICK and very appreciative. I like giving money to places where employees really care about their customers! Thanks guys!!!

Bought a salvage title car from Rafael who demonstrated expert BMW knowledge, making me 100% confident I knew the exact condition of the vehicle. Six months later, the car continues to drive like a dream. It is our 4^th BMW with either an M or other high performance package so believe me when I say this guy knows his stuff and stands behind his work.

Fast and convenient! In and out in less than 30 mins. People here are friendly and know what they’re doing. Will def be back!

Great place and great service. Charged me 60 for a smog which was chill. They have a built in ground dyno for the lowered cars as well.
i dont remember the guys name but he smogged the volvo quick and had a nice chill ass couch to lounge on. Thanks man ill be back.

I came here to get my car smog. It was sometime in August and I book marked this page to remind me to visit again and to leave a review.
The place is pricey compared to others, but this place is very fast as well.
Came here and it took about 30 minutes. It would have been quicker, but the car before me was having issues. Since the owner of the vehicle wasn’t present and wasn’t answering their calls, they decided to move the car and service my car.
I thought that was very nice of them since some places wouldn’t have made that possible.
These people are reliable and so far i haven’t heard any complaints.
When it’s time to get my car smog, I will come back to this place.

Arriving: I was immediately greeted and asked what they could do for me. Friendly, inquisitive, and to the point. This is a big plus for me.
Service: Needed a smog check for my 2007 SUV, which is in great working order. The mechanic in duty was confident and articulate about the service and was more concerned with «my time», which is rare. (See Below)
Timeframe: I showed up on a Friday around 1:30 pm, so it wasn’t busy. That being said, the mechanic was good to keep things moving as quick as possible. He was not lax, but was still able to help other customers. He initially told me 30 minutes, but I was out under 20 minutes, more like 15 minutes w/​o paper work.
I would highly recommend this shop. The previous reviews were spot on. The mechanic was named Steven. Great customer service!
