Technician tried pushing me into a service plan. Full story below.
Called to schedule a diagnosis and repair on my AC that wasn’t working. People on phone were very nice and professional.
Tech came out, did his diagnosis and then started explaining what was wrong. Needing a recharge and had a leak. Then he proceeded to show service plan options ranging from $ 400-​$ 900 a year. Felt that was a lot of money and wasn’t expecting to spend that much.
Tell him no, he keeps pushing and says «well your a home owner, right? — can’t you make a decision???» So needless to say I asked him to leave but before he left got me to sign up for their lowest cost service plan –without me even knowing. Wow.
So I called them the next day and cancelled that service plan and told them what happened, they apologized. Although I appreciate the apology and it may have just been one bad tech, sorry you lost my business.

Our AC went out on Labor Day so we called around to find someone with reasonable prices for an HVAC technician. One Hour was around $ 159 with a $ 25 off coupon, and they were priced better than most others for a holiday visit.
When the technician came out we found a broken solar light on the side of my house (probably from a neighborhood kid), and all of the Freon was gone in my unit. The tech could not find a leak, so he diagnosed the problem as theft. I purchased locking caps and Freon for my unit ($ 500 for that visit), and he re-​filled the R22 Freon. I then warned my neighbors that Freon theft is apparently an issue, and advised that they may want to purchase locking caps for their unit (wish I hadn’t said that)…
A day later the AC stopped working again. I called and asked to talk to a manager, because I didn’t want to pay an additional $ 159 for a technician to come out to re-​diagnose the problem. The receptionist took my information and said a manager would call me back, but no one ever returned my call. My wife then called the technician who came out and confirmed that the unit was out of Freon. He said it would be an additional $ 600 to do a full search and repair of the leak, and that I would be better off buying a new unit, as my unit was 11 years old. Since my unit uses an older type of Freon (you won’t be able to buy R-​22 in 2020), I decided to price out new units.
As far as the new units, One hour did offer me a credit for the $ 500 I spent on my last visit if I decided to buy a unit with them. We had them out to give us a quote on a new unit, but we found that their prices were significantly higher than other competitors. They told me that they have higher prices because of overhead costs, and assured me they have better service for a higher cost. I did speak to the owner (Brad) who seemed very nice, and who seemed like he wanted to give us a break based on our experience. The truth was that even with a break they would still be higher than any other competitors. At that point we decided to try another company in the area.
The technician, sales person, and owner were all extremely professional and nice to me and my family. I just felt that I had enough of them after receiving an inaccurate diagnosis of the problem, not receiving a response to my phone call, and receiving unusually high bids for replacement.

Technician came to the house today and knew what it was within 5 minutes. Fixed it and was done in less than 45 from the time he got here til he was leaving. Excellent customer service over the phone and tech was very nice and knew what he was doing. No hidden charges only what they quoted and no parts required. Centerpoint would not have came out until the next week. Very highly recommended. Thank you for your service. One last thing… I called after 9pm the night before and they fit me in the next day even though they were already booked full.

Great service from the employees on the phone to the service technicians. During the last A/​C check up, our power went out (not their fault). They couldn’t finish, but came back later the same day once power was restored.
