Let me start by saying if you are seeking help for any mental illness, or even just everyday stress please do your homework. The relationship you form with a therapist is one of the most important you can ever have. Setup an initial consultation. If for any reason you are not 100% comfortable with the doc say so or simply schedule with someone else. That being said… This practice is dangerous! They care more about billable hours than actual mental health care. They do not encourage healing and treatment. They throw strong psychotropic drugs at each and every problem. I am one of 2 people that I know of that they got addicted to prescription drugs. Both of us have now completed in patient rehab because of meds started and ENCOURAGED by the doctors in this practice. They overprescribe in a reckless fashion and take no responsibility for their part in any of the aftermath. You have to find a therapeutic relationship that works for you but I encourage you to start elsewhere! Drugs can be a quick fix but longterm you will end up with more troubles when you are facing addiction on top of whatever brought you in to begin with.
