Webassign

Holy lord, this software is abysmal. Practice problems almost always skip steps when explaining the process of solving, which is never acceptable on a test, but for some reason it is on the homework program? The majority of learning math for many people comes from doing the homework, and webassign just makes learning more difficult and confusing. I want to scream profanities at you developers. Mymathlab is terrible, but its way better than this piece of trash.

I have used @WebAssign for many Math & Physic classes. It has some both good and bad points. It is all up to the teacher on how they want it set up to grade. I think the basic job of WebAssign is to make the job easier for the teacher so they don’t have to grade your homework.
Basially, with WebAssign, the teacher assigns problems. The teacher decides on weather each student gets the exact same problems, or randomizes the numbers in the equation so that each student will come up with a different answer. The teacher also decides on how much help WebAssign will give the student. The teacher also decides if the student has to work each problem step by step, or just input the final answer. There are also some tutorials, and samples that are available, but the teacher decides if the student has access to them or not.
Some of the solutions that WebAssign has are not exactly correct. I have noticed a few errors over the time that I have used it. You also have the option of purchasing an electronic book with the homework package. I don’t recommend purchasing the ebook from WebAssign as you have to be logged into the site and have an active connection. That means that you can’t read the book in your car, the courtyard, bus stop, or grandmas house, because we know she don’t have WiFi. Also, if you have one of those courses that use the same book for multiple classes, just buy the lifetime version. That way you will not have to keep subscribing each semester, and you will save money. Especially if you know there is a possibility you might have to repeat the class.

Worst homework website ever. The videos are practically useless with monotoned and lifeless speakers, and are not clear on how they solve certain math problems. This website doesn’t help me solve math problems efficiently and it made learning daunting and frustrating for me. I suggest that you don’t use webassign, the website won’t help you learn, there are better learning websites/​softwares out there.

It is horrible. There’s no options to follow an example. Although the user interface is cleaner, I’ve found Mymathlab to be much more helpful since it provides examples of each exercise.

Webassign made math horrible for me. It wouldve been better if my professor just gave us worksheets.

I rated it 1 Star because it wasn’t possible to give it none. I purchased a course, and online test book for $ 70 on a college student’s budget. It was the only option available to me. After weeks and weeks of going back and forth with the tech support, I am still unable to view my textbook online. My professor told me that refunds were issue to other students having the same problem. However, after having to talk through the many ranks at webassign. They stated that they could not issue a partial refund. Either a full 70 $ or nothing. Obviously, as a current student in the class I couldn’t get a full refund and cancel my account because then I couldn’t turn in my homework in the class. There is basically nothing I can do, a large company just screwed me. Suing isn’t cost effective, and if I disputed the purchase on my credit card they will cancel my account. I am extremely disappointed by this unethical company.
