Triangle Dry Eye Network doctors are experts in treatment of all forms of eye discomfort, including dry eye. We specialize in the treatment of Ocular Surface Disease (OSD) or dry eye, which is caused mainly by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), a condition that results in premature evaporation of the tears between blinks due to an inadequate lipid (oily) layer produced by the glands. MGD is far more common than any other cause, contributing to greater than 8 of 10 OSD cases.

Triangle Dry Eye Center was established on the principle of using only the latest diagnostic and treatment instruments and methods to ensure accurate dry eye diagnosis and effective treatment. We have employed technology from Oculus and Tear Science, two of the leading innovators in eye care technology. Since conception, Triangle Dry Eye has maintained the knowledge and expertise for diagnosing and treating all forms of dry eye. We remain on the forefront of all dry eye research, diagnostic and treatment methods, partnering with Tear Science, a leading innovator in dry eye and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) treatment technology.

Business Owner
Dr. Peter Hollis has been practicing Optometry for over 35 years and is one of the most respected and successful in his field. The founder of Doctors Vision Centers, Dr. Hollis built the practice to 75 locations at its peak with an emphasis on comprehensive eye health. Dr. Hollis has remained on the forefront of innovation in eye care. Today, Dr. Hollis serves as Medical Director of Triangle Dry Eye. After many years of seeing patients suffering from dry eye and the advent of the LipiFlow® system, Dr. Hollis decided to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye and MGD. LipiFlow is the only treatment of its kind for patients suffering from MGD. Dr. Hollis has been specially trained in providing this treatment to his patients.
