History

Established in 2007.

I began my professional career in advertising and marketing. Which comes into play in a big way when I am marketing my clients’ listings. I spent over 25 years in corporate America as a sales rep, marketing consultant and manager. Then I came to Raleigh in 1992 to open up a new franchise business. Years later I found myself back in the advertising and marketing industry: TV, radio and print. But in 2007 I decided I wanted the freedom to be my own boss, but to also have the support of a strong team. That’s when I updated the real estate license I earned in 1981 and joined the Falls of Neuse office of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry And Walston. In 2009 I joined the Jim Allen Group at CBHPW. Through the last 5 years I have continued to learn and have received designations and/​or certifications such as ABR, SRES, ePRO, EcoBroker, Previews, etc. I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers because I know how important the sale or purchase of a home is going to be to that individual or family.

I am originally from Rome, Georgia. Attended the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism and the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Graduated with honors with an ABJ Degree and then an MBA with my focus being marketing and economics.

In 1977 I joined Cox Broadcasting out of Atlanta, Georgia, where I worked for more than 12 years as a sales rep, Director of New Business Development, and VP of Marketing for their consulting division.

I then moved from Chicago to Roanoke, VA to become LSM of an NBC Affiliate with Park Communications. In 1992 I moved to Raleigh, NC to operate a business called Takeout Taxi, a restaurant delivery service. In 1996 I became LSM of WRDC-​TV in Raleigh & then became GSM at a magazine publishing company w/​5 publications in NC and VA.

In 2004 I joined Curtis Media which owns a group of radio stations Raleigh. I finally got tired of corporate America & joined CBHPW in 2007. In 2009 I was asked to join the Jim Allen Group.
