Raleigh’s Animal Hospital, The Purr and Bark Veterinary Hospital’s Mobile Animal Clinic relieves a great deal of this stress, by bringing the pet doctor to you, at your home. Dr. Regina, our owner, offers quality service, not quantity service, to her clients and patients. This means complete, compassionate service, to you, to your pet, at your home. The state-​of-​the-​art mobile surgery suite offers a wide variety of surgical procedures. This includes spaying and neutering, microchip identification, pet dental, declaws and some soft tissue surgeries, without your pet having to go beyond your driveway. Most medicine for your pet’s needs are onboard, and compounding is available by request. For any medications that we do not have on-​hand or do not carry, we utilize the online Pharmacy, VetCentric. VetCentric will provide those medicines and deliver them to your home for no extra charge. Our Online Retail Store is similar to the online Pharmacy for medications. You can shop for pet supplies, grooming supplies and a variety of toys and other items for your Pet online.

History

Established in 2006.

The Purr and Bark Veterinary Hospital Is brand new. However, The Purr and Bark Veterinary Mobile Doctor was started in 2006. After years of working for other hospitals and being told that this would not work, I was in a position to prove that it could and would work.

The Purr and Bark Veterinary Mobile unit was the first step, its such a unique concept. To be able to drive to the home of a client and administer veterinary care in our mobile clinic is very gratifying. So many pets do not, or can not travel to veterinary hospitals.

After 8 years, I am able to complete my dream, and prove the naysayers wrong. A veterinary walk-​in hospital, can work in conjunction with a complete mobile veterinary clinic on wheels. The Purr and Bark clients can choose what works best for them, and their Pets. I will come to them in the Purr and Bark Veterinary Mobile unit, or they can come to me at The Purr and Bark Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Regina S.

Business Owner

Dr. Regina, owner/​doctor of The Purr and Bark, is committed to giving personalized, compassionate and quality veterinary medical care to your Pet. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Beaver College in 1993, Dr. Regina received her Veterinary Medical Doctorate in 1997, from The University of Pennsylvania. Penn is known as one of the most prestigious Veterinary Schools in the Nation, and ranked either number one or number two, depending on which poll you see. Since graduation, she has held positions as an associate Veterinarian, a relief Veterinarian, and an emergency Veterinarian. This means Dr. Regina has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in the practice of Veterinary medicine. Although having experience with many different species, including rodents, reptiles, and avian, she has concentrated her veterinary medical care to feline and canine care. In 2001, after marriage to her husband who is a native of Raleigh, she relocated to the Raleigh area.
