The Crossings At Alexander Place

We moved in at The Crossings in June 2014 new to the area it was centrally located to Downtown Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill. The staff is pleasant and on the ball. We had very few reasons to call upon them but when we did there were no problems. The neighbors were nice and the amenities are always clean and well kept. We moved out in June 2015 only because the location although convenient to all those areas was not most convenient to where we spend most of our time. I would recommend The Crossings at Alexander Place to friends, and family. After we moved out our deposit was refunded. Of course as good tenants we took good care of the place and cleaned properly. With two 14 year old dogs in tow we are on to new adventures.

I was a resident for two years. The staff is very courteous. However, after the first year, I asked for the carpet to be replaced since it was seven years old.Refused. When asked again in the second year to replace eight year old carpet, I was refused. After I had already given notice, over 2 weeks later they said they would replace it. Too late then, I needed a place to live and signed a lease elsewhere. Over the 2 year period I saw some things that should have been better for the money that I was paying. While the property is very dog friendly, the main dog park is a big mud pit when wet. Grass is worn out with no effort to replace it. In the dog park area there are buildings where the decorative shutters had fallen off and not been replaced. There are boats and commercial vehicles parked in the area as well. All good if their yours, but not so much for visitor parking. In the end, I found identical square footage for a lesser price, nicer property and better amenities just a couple of miles away. Nice people, mediocre property at a premium price. Overall 3 star rating at best.

Apartments are nice, office staff can be temperamental. When expressing concern over 27 dollar valet trash, they told us if we didn’t like it we could move… Maintenance requires at least two requests before anything is fixed. Typically has to do with which one is sent to you.
Overall, not the worst place, but staffing could be better…

If you miss the ghetto, then look no further you have found the perfect spot. By far the worst place to call home. The property manager rented a garage space below my bedroom to another resident who used the garage to start a weight lifting gym. Each morning I was woken up to the loud banging of the weights, music blaring and the people laughing and talking that ended only around 8:30pm. All the endless complaining fell on deaf ears. In fact in one of the email messages, the manager Nina Wright mentioned that its being used as a personal gym by a female resident. Until I started taking photos of the crowd that would congregate just outside my bedroom. This went on for 6 weeks, including the personal trainer threatened to harm me for interferring in his business. The manager relocated the weight lifting gym across the street from me and nothing changed. If you MUST rent from this property, make sure you have the Raleigh Police dept, Rental Protection Agency and a great lawyer on speed dial. When I wanted to move out, Nina Wright was pressurizing me to sign a document stating that I shall not express my negative reviews online otherwise they will sue me. What ever happened to democracy and freedom of speech???

Great location, Beautiful apartments!

..Amazing fully loaded, beautiful furniture people are great, nice shopping in walking distance to enjoy weather! Frankies is about 10 min away. so many things nearby.. Great place I’d stay again
