If you want a doctor that lies to you about your surgery then go here! I chose Dr. Carlino for my breast augmentation 10 years ago. It was agreed that my implants were to be placed below the muscle. In 2014 I finally underwent surgery to fix the implants that had caused me pain and had become awful looking. My new surgeon (the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of knowing… Dr. Schlesinger in Hawaii) informed me after surgery of some VERY disturbing news. The post operative report Dr. Carlino supplied to me after my first surgery stated that my implants were placed below the muscle as agreed however when Dr. Schlesinger «opened me up» during surgery he found my implants were actually placed above the muscle. This placement was the major contributor to my pain and disfigurement. I contacted Dr. Carlino looking for an explanation, compensation and most importantly an actual post operative report of what he really did to me during surgery. I was given no response and pushed off to his insurance company. I have been denied all of what I requested. I am still in recovery due to the extensive surgery necessary to correct the problems from the first surgery… thats 6 months now! What bothers me the most is that I have been denied the knowledge of what Dr. Carlino did to my body when I was under anesthesia. I trusted Dr. Carlino and he took advantage of me when I was unable to defend myself. That is a sick sick thing to do. I will be pursuing this situation until I exhaust every avenue. If he did this to me then I am most certain there must be other patients out there with the same problem.

The Specialists in Plastic Surgery is the most «un-doctor’s» office I have ever been to. EVERYONE that works here is so friendly. Lots of smiles and genuine sincerity. They all know your name and remember it at every visit. From the minute you walk in the glass door, you feel like you’re entering a day spa. The lobby looks like a magazine and does not feel like a doctor’s office at all. Kristen, at the front counter, is warm, friendly and full of smiles, Peggy the Patient Coordinator, is bubbly, positive and full of compliments. (I wrote a separate Unilocal review for him under Matthew Blanton, MD) During my consultation, which took place in a consultation room with cozy chairs and real furniture, he spent over an hour to answer my questions, explain what to expect the day of surgery, during surgery, after surgery and recovery. He showed my before and after pictures on a flat screen monitor of his patients before me that had breast lifts, including pictures of what type of incision I would have. The surgery took place inside the Specialists in Plastic Surgery, no hospital… this facility has a state-​of-​the-​art surgery room, maybe two, to accommodate surgeries within the building. The entire surgery experience was unlike any surgery experience I’ve ever had… robes, a personal anesthesiologist that comes into the pre-​op room (with more comfy chairs and real furniture) and talks you through what’s going to happen. Like in the movie Annie, you have an entire surgical staff waiting on you, taking care of you and tending to your every need without any other distractions. Then, wearing their cozy robe, you walk to the surgery room and lay on the table. Dr. Blanton asked me what type of music I liked to listen to and held my hand as I fell off to sleep. When I woke up three hours later, my husband was there to take me home, that day. Dr. Blanton called me that night to check on me and made himself available through texts throughout my recovery. I have had several follow-​up appointments at no-​charge since my surgery two months ago. I am so extremely pleased with the results, Dr. Blanton did an awesome job and I could not be happier… and I’m not shy in telling him that. This practice obviously values VIP treatment of their patients because I truly feel like I’m walking on a cloud every time I’m there. They understand that most people that come there, don’t *have* to be there, so they really go out of their way to make it the best experience for their patients. I recommend the Specialists in Plastic Surgery to all my friends whether or not I know they are considering cosmetic changes or not because I feel like if they know my story, and know I did it, that they might consider it and do it too. I wouldn’t want my friends to go anywhere else… five stars for SIPS and Dr. Blanton!
