Skye Tower Restaurant & Lounge

Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Had a reservation for 730 and got there around 720. Waited at the front for about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there and they said just take any seat. I sit down and the waitresses just keep scrambling around as if I was never there. No drinks, no menu, not even a hello or a sorry for the wait we will be right with you. Another group of two comes in about 15 minutes after and they get their menus right away. That’s when the waitress finally decided to go get a menu for my table. I ended up getting up and leaving. It wasn’t until 745 that i could finally get a menu. And I would have completely understood if this place was packed busy but there were only about 10 other people in the place. I will never waste my time coming back to this restaurant. The staff is an absolute joke.

Service was the WORST! Just went for drinks before hitting the bars downtown Raleigh. The view is great but not worth dealing with the non service there. The place only had about 4 tables and it took over 20 mins to get a drink and then the bartender got attitude when we went to her for a glass of water. I’ll not be going back.

Had to attend a seminar at the Clarion, and to save time, decided to head up to the restaurant. Not my best idea. The hostess was the waitress. That’s right, the, as in only. There was a handful of tables, all seeming to be waiting on a server or food. We sat down, and waited awhile. During this time the table next to us decided to leave without eating. We stuck it out.
After finally ordering, the food came out reasonably quick. I ordered the cheeseburger, medium. Not what I was craving but basically your only choice is the burger, a cheesesteak, salad, soup, chicken salad, or tuna salad. It was past well done. It also was 2 inches thick, and about 2 inches around, even though the bun was 4 inches across.
Overall…it was bland, overcooked, service was lacking and the price wasn’t good enough to make it worth it. Only redeeming quality is the view. I suggest staying away.
