I don’t understand why there is so many negative reviews regarding Sage Pest Control. YES, they promote business door to door. YES, there is a contract, and YES, it is YOUR responsibility to understand the service you are buying. Anybody that has ANY door to door sales experience at all would realize that what these kids are doing is anything but easy. I have A LOT of respect for anybody that is knocking doors for a living.
Now there is always a bad egg in every batch, you can’t control that. However every single sales rep for this company is trained to be a 100% upfront and ethical. If they are not, they are quickly replaced. Same goes with the technicians. They are all regularly drug tested and background checked. They are also trained on a daily basis and regularly shadowed to make sure they are doing the very best job possible.
As far as the service goes, Sage Pest Control is easily the most thorough of all pest control companies in the area, state, or even the country. I have been in the industry for four years now and have never seen a company with the product line up they do. Every single time they use the very best products and the most safe products on the market. There is no way they are as profitable as some of these other companies because they take a big hit in the cost of their products but yet they STILL charge the same as anyone else. That is awesome for us the consumer. They can and will get rid of any pest problems you might have.
The contract is a total of five sprays for the first year. The first spray is a inside and outside flush out service that has a quick knockdown and you will see fairly quick results. ONE MONTH LATER THEY COMEBACK to break up the life cycle of the bugs (this follow up visit is standard in the pest control industry and is crucial in successfully eliminating pest.) following the second visit they come by on a quarterly basis to spray and maintain the outside of your property. These quarterly visits are quick because they use a power sprayer to reestablish barriers that have broken down. By quick, I would say usually anywhere between 10 – 30 minutes. That’s once every three months or once a season. If at anytime you are unsatisfied, THEY WILL COME BACK FOR FREE, to spray as many times as they need to in order to rid your house of bugs. That is a comforting guarantee.
If you are looking for a pest control company and you live in this area consider yourself lucky. You have the opportunity to work with a company that truly puts their customers first. You can’t go wrong giving Sage Pest Control a chance to earn your business.

We have used Sage Pest Control for several months now and I love them. I appreciate that they use environmentally friendly products. I am hyper-​sensitive to chemicals and have never had an issue w/​Sage’s products. I also appreciate that they guarantee their work. When we first started with them it took a few sprays to get the ants/​spiders/​roaches under control. We didn’t have a HUGE problem, but any unwanted insects in the house are a problem to me. They came back several times until things were under control. They also inspected my house for me to show me where some bugs were getting in (hole in the wall by the sink, gap in the window, etc.)
I have found that Sage works well w/​my schedule and they have gone out of their way to help answer questions and address my concerns. Most recently Doug was out and help identify an issues we have with a squirrel. Sage does not take care of squirrels, but Doug was helpful in directing us to someone who did.

The techs have always been very professional. We have only started with Sage in the late summer. To date, I am very pleased.

Hopefully this will save others from throwing away their money.
I was told that my initial fee would cover 3 months’ service and there was a 100% money back guarantee if they couldn’t get rid of the pests. So I hired them, paid my initial 3 month fee as they said they could get rid of the ants and tunnels in my yard.
Two weeks later they show up for another treatment and charge me ANOTHER $ 100.
I ask what they are doing about the tunnels in my yard and they say they are moles and they don’t cover that… useful information they neglected to mention initially. In the meantime, they have to come out yet again to treat the ants which don’t seem affected by the initial treatments.
Frustrated that they can’t do anything about moles, I call to cancel. Only to be told that not only is there no money back guarantee, they charge a $ 110 cancellation fee. Evidently, that’s the fee I’M charged when THEY can’t get rid of pests in my yard.
Note that the law for mole eradication has recently changed and is now allowed, however SAGE Pest Control just doesn’t have the right licence to get rid of moles.

I have used other post control companies in the past and never had the problems I had with Sage. They didn’t come back or follow up once we told them we were having a TERRIBLE ant problem inside my home after they sprayed one time! I spent 4 months spraying and cleaning up ants in my home with no help from them. I canceled the service after my «free trial» because they ruined my home and my lawn was full of bugs, ants, and voles once they came! They sent me a $ 110 bill for cancelling! I used a FREE trial service and that’s what I got, a headache for 4 months and my yard is still horrible! I should be paid for the mess I had to deal with. I will NEVER recommend such a horrible pest control company to anyone!

This company has come to our door twice in the past 3 months to offer their service. They are soliciting their product when they have no permission to do so. They also use the tactic that ‘so and so your neighbor’ uses our services, bla bla bla which is tacky to say the least (I noticed another reviewer said the same thing). And they offered to treat my entire yard with chemicals which, without even looking into what they use, has to be unnecessary and dangerous to the environment and our drinking water.

I have used sage Pest control for some time now and they are the best at what they do. I had a huge problem with centipedes that a nationally known company could not eradicate. But she took care of the problem and I have not seen a single one since they stated my pest control 2 years ago. Very happy. I will never use anyone else.

They use the granule Demand which is highly toxic to bees in particular along with fireflies and other necessary insects. Unless you don’t like honey or want to have many flowers, fruits, and vegetables in our future, please don’t use them and this chemical. There are other companies that use less dangerous methods, if, that is, it is really urgent to have treatment done.

Seriously they’ve come to my door three times now asking if we wanted pest control each time we told them no each time they have told me that people in our neighbor hood were using them I know the people in my neighbor hood and I assure you they are not i almost want to give them two stars for effort. I would appreciate someone having respect for my no soliciting sign
