History
Established in 2005.
My first painting was an oil portrait of my grandmother — done a way to overcome the grief of her loss. From there, the rest became an outpouring of creativity and design — that has me painting oil and acrylic art on a daily business.
Meet the Business Owner
Rick O.
Business Owner
My first painting was an oil portrait that I did of my grandmother in 2005 after her passing. I have always been creative, but until creating that piece of art, I was unaware of my painting ability. To my surprise, my grandmother’s portrait was an excellent likeness. Thereafter, I began painting landscapes, animals, pets (dogs, cats and birds), as well as doing commissioned work of the same. Combined with my graphic artist projects via Rick Osborn Designs, I am realizing my creative self through my art.
Now, I have a small art gallery at Galleria on Strickland Road in Raleigh, NC, where the public can come to view my recent works. I do commissions, such as pet portraits, people portraits, paintings of houses and structures, as well as farm scenes and landscapes. I use both oil and acrylic for my paintings. Very often, I paint on a background of red, as I find it gives more harmony, vibration and visual flair to my art. Stop by and check out my art or peruse my website.
